Bison Rescued From Toppled Trailer in Pierre

Firefighters rescued at least 39 bison from a tractor-trailer that crashed along North Hwy 1806 in Fort Pierre, South Dakota, on December 10. All human occupants of the vehicle were unharmed, but one bison died, according to the fire department.In their Facebook post, the Pierre Fire Department said that parts of the overturned trailer were cut to allow the bison to escape into the adjacent field.
