Cars Stranded as Floods Swamp Roads in Parts of South Dakota

Roads, parks and properties were flooded, and cars were stranded, as the National Weather Service reported more than eight inches of rain in areas of Brookings County, South Dakota, on the morning of July 19.The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office shared these images of flooding in the area, and urged drivers to take care on the roads.According to the Brookings Register, several parks and recreational facilities were closed and two creeks were flooding due to the heavy rainfall.
