Two Yes campaigners in Sydney got engaged on November 14, the night before the results of the Marriage Law Postal Survey was to be announced.Hayley Legg and her partner, now fiance, Emma Guiney, fought for marriage rights for same-sex couples with the NSW Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby during the intensive three-month campaign. Legg told Storyful her partner was anxious about the results of the survey, and so wanted to propose without the results hanging over them.Legg and her friends surprised Guiney at the Union Hotel in Newtown.
