The Senate's vote on the Republican health care bill will be delayed until Sen. John McCain recovers from surgery. The senator will be recovering from surgery next week that will remove a blood clot from above his left eye. "While John is recovering, the Senate will continue our work on legislative items and nominations, and will defer consideration of the Better Care Act," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Republicans need to obtain 50 votes out of their 52-member Senate majority to move the bill forward.
