John McCain has thrown
his support behind
the new GOP tax bill boosting its chances of being past ahead of an expected late-night vote. McCain said in a statement If the bill passes, it would be President Trump's first major legislative achievement in office after failing to repeal Obamacare. Trump and fellow Republicans have argued the bill will help the middle class but an analysis by Tax Policy Center found that two-thirds of middle class earners would see tax increases. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the bill would also increase the deficit by $1.44 trillion
over the next 10 years.
