1½ cup chick peas
3 tomatoes boiled and pureed
2 bunch of Spinach leaves chopped, boiled and pureed
1 tsp cumin seeds
1” cinnamon
4 cloves
2 bay leaves
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp amchur powder
1 tsp cumin and coriander seed powder each
2 bunches chopped, boiled and pureed spinach
4 tbsp oil
Grind to a paste: 5 pods of garlic, 1” ginger and 3 onions

- Soak the chickpeas overnight and pressure cook them by adding some salt.
- Heat the oil and add cumin seeds in it. Once they crackle, add the ground paste, cinnamon, cloves, and bay leaves and fry for a while.
- Add the tomato puree, garam masala, chilli powder and fry until the oil separates.
- Add the chickpeas along with the water they were soaked in, amchur powder, coriander and cumin seed powder.
- Add the spinach puree followed by salt as per taste and cook for 3-4 minutes.
