Notes: The defending Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos lose starting quarterback Peyton Manning to retirement. Manning’s numbers were subpar to his standards as the Broncos were carried by the number one rated defense in the league. Mark Sanchez is battling three others in camp for the starting role. The veteran enters his eighth season in the league and started two games for the Eagles last year completing nearly 65% of his passes for 616 yards with four touchdowns and four picks. Trevor Siemian enters his second year with the team. He did not take a snap in the regular season last year. Rookie Paxton Lynch was drafted by Denver after playing his college football at Memphis.

The Chicago Bears hope to improve on the 23rd ranked scoring offense in the league. They lose running back Matt Forte in free agency. Jay Cutler returns under center and should see limited work on Thursday. Cutler has an experience backup in Brian Hoyer who enters his eighth year in the league. He started 9 games last season for Houston and hit on 60.7% of his throws for 2606 yards with 19 touchdowns and 7 picks. David Fales out of San Jose St returns for his third year with the team. Connor Shaw will also look to make the Bears roster after spending his first two years in the league with Cleveland where he started one game.
