John Abraham, born on 17th Dec 1972, at Kerla, is an Indian actor, model, and producer, and son of a Malyalee father and Parsi mother.
John Abraham started his career as a model and in the year 1999 won the Glad Rags Man Hunt Contest, and was a 2nd runner up for the Manhunt International Contest in Philippines.
After winning the contest John was signed by Carrie models and did modeling stints for various brands in Singapore, Hong Kong, London and New York.
He also acted in music videos of Pankaj Udhas, Hans Raj Hans and Babul Supriyo.
John made his debut in Hindi films in 2003 and acted in Jism with Bipasha Basu and the movie was a smashing hit for its bold content and John became a big star and went on to act in films like New York, Salame Ishq, Kabul Express, Dostana, House Full 2, No Smoking, Dhoom, Paap, Garam Masala, Baabul and many other films.
His chemistry with Abhishek Bachchan was well appreciated in Dostana and the film was a big hit.
John has his own fashion line- JA clothes- jeans being his favorite outfit.
John is associated with charitable causes like PETA and habitats for humanity.
John produced the film Vicky Donor in 2012 and the movie was the surprise package of the year breaking huge box office records. His under production films as a producer are Hamara Bajaj and Jaffna.
On personal front John was in a relationship with actress Bipasha Basu, but eventually they split and now john is engaged to Priya Runchal who is an investment banker.
