Mbledhja e Këshillit Kombëtar te Punës për rritjen me 5% te pagës minimale u shndërrua ne debat politik mes drejtuesve te sindikatës dhe Ministrit te Punës Spiro Ksera. Ndërsa debate ishte për varfërinë e shqiptareve akuzat mes palëve kaluan deri ne zgjedhjen e presidentit te republikës. Pas miratimit ne Këshillin e Punës paga minimale shkoi nga 20 mije ne 21 mije leke te rinj. Sipas Ministrisë se Punës, Shqipëria është e fundit ne rajon për pagesën me minimale, ndërsa vendin e pare me pagën minimale me te larte e mban Kroacia me 371 euro.
