Në 24 Maj Shqipëria merr Presidencën e radhës së Komitetit të Ministrave të Këshillit të Evropës, duke shënuar kështu një ngjarje historike për vendin. Presidenca e pare vjen pas 17 vitesh anëtarësimi dhe përkon me vitin jubilar të 100-vjetorit të Pavarësisë. Ne krye te organizatës me 57 shtete, ne 6 muajt e ardhshëm do te jete ministri i Jashtëm, Edmond Haxhinasto. Pak ore përpara dorëzimit te mandatit nga Britania e madhe, gjithçka duket gati, madje edhe logoja qe do te shoqëroje moton e Presidencës shqiptare. Por 24 maji është edhe një limit kohor për Shqipërinë, i lënë nga Brukseli zyrtar për te përmbyllur reformat kryesore. Megjithe ngërçin ne te cilin gjenden marrëdhëniet mes shumicës e opozitës, numri 2 i qeverise beson ende tek përmbushja e këtij detyrimi. Ndërsa ne rolin e përfaqësuesit me te larte te LSI ne ekzekutiv, zoti Haxhinasto shuan çdo shprese te opozitareve për rrëzim te qeverise edhe ne rast te divergjencave për çështjen e presidentit.

Few hours before delivery of the mandate from the UK, everything seems ready, even the logo that will accompany the Albanian Presidency motto. But May 24 is also a time limit for Albania, left the official Brussels to finalize reforms. Despite the impasse in which there are relations between the majority and opposition, the government believes the number 2 yet to fulfill this obligation. While the role of the highest representatives of the executive LSI, Mr. Haxhinasto extinguish any hope of government opponents to crash even in case of divergence on the issue of the president.
