Rezistenca e tregtareve korçare ka detyruar Bashkine te shtyje nisjen e punimeve restauruese për kthimin ne identitet te pazarit te vjetër te Korçës qe mban statusin e një ansambli monumental. Ndonëse ishte parashikuar dita e hënë për largimin e tezgave, policia bashkiake nuk ka ndërhyrë, duke shtyre aksionin për një dite tjetër për te shmangur përplasjet me 300 tregtaret qe duhet te zhvendosen tek ish uzina mekanike bujqësore. Pazari 250-vjeçar nder me te njohurit ne Ballkan, e arriti kulmin e zhvillimit ne fillim te shekullit te 20 kur numëronte afro 1 mije dyqane. Pazari do ti nënshtrohet restaurimit ne katër faza, si ne fasada, ne rrugicat me kalldrëm dhe ne rrjetin e kanalizimeve. Për rikonstruksionin e tregut janë dhënë mbi 800 mije euro kryesisht nga Komisioni Evropian, por dhe Bashkia e Korçës.
