Dëmtimin e turizmit nga plehrat, një shqetësim te ngritur edhe nga vete kryeministri Berisha ne mbledhjen e qeverise se këtij fillim gushti, e pohojnë edhe ekspertet e turizmit.
Sipas tyre po ulet numri i pushuesve si vendas si te huaj. Ndërkohë, sipas shoqatës për autonomi vendore çështja e mbeturinave mbetet një detyre e qeverise pasi ajo jo vetëm ka ne dore buxhetin por jep edhe mbështetjen ndaj pushtetit vendor, gjë qe deri tani nuk është evidentuar madje ajo vete është bere pengese ne disa raste. Edhe vete Ministria e Mjedisit, përgjegjëse e hartimit te politikave dhe inspektimeve ne terren, e pranon problemin. Gjate vitit 2011 Ministria e Mjedisit ka vendosur 2 gjoba ne Bashkine e Lezhës dhe komunën Velipojë.
