Jamaica Accuses David Cameron of Misrepresenting Prison Transfer Deal

Jamaica has accused the British Prime Minister David Cameron of inaccurately claiming to have signed a deal to repatriate about 300 of its sentences serving prison sentences in the UK. During his September visit to Jamaica, Cameron said the UK would provide £25 million for a new prison in Jamaica in return for the repatriation. The Jamaican government, however, has disputed the existence of such an agreement amid concern that it would be funding 60% of running costs. teleSUR
