Fadnavis accuses Maha govt of turning blind eye to corruption in police transfers
  • 3 years ago
Maharashtra Assembly’s Leader of Opposition and BJP leader, Devendra Fadnavis, on March 21 accused the state government of turning away eye to the corruption that took place in police transfers which led to the resignation of DG Subodh Jaiswal.

Fadnavis said, “Before Param Bir Singh, Maharashtra DG Subodh Jaiswal had submitted a report to Maharashtra Chief Minister regarding corruption over police transfers. Ideally, Chief Minister should have taken serious cognisance of the matter and set up a committee but CM shared the report with Home Minister and removed Commissioner Intelligence from his post. Hence, DG Jaiswal went to Central deputation.”
