At a press conference in London, UK's foreign secretary, David Cameron, says the government "does not have a supply of weapons to Israel" before adding that the UK has a number of licences for arms sales that make up less than one percent of Israel's total. The former prime minister goes on to say that the UK does not support a major operation in Rafah as it currently stands and will not until it can be sure there is a "very clear plan for how to protect people, save lives and all the rest of it."

00:17 We do not have a UK government supply of weapons to Israel.

00:24 And I think our defense exports to Israel
00:26 are, as Paul said, significantly less than 1%
00:29 of the total.
00:30 So I think that is a big difference.
00:32 We are clear that we would not support some major operation
00:37 in Rafa unless there was a very clear plan for how
00:41 to protect people, save lives, and all the rest of it.
00:44 We have not seen that plan.
00:45 And so in these circumstances, we
00:47 would not support a major operation in Rafa.
00:51 And of course, going back to the arms situation,
00:53 we have very clear licensing procedures,
00:56 some of the toughest and most rigorous in the world.
00:58 We follow those through very closely.
00:59 And that's what we are doing and will continue
