Ecuador: Leaders Applaud Venezuela-Colombia Border Talks

After talks concluded between Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos on Monday evening, Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez, in his role as President Pro Tem of UNASUR, stressed the importance of the meeting for the region as a whole, while Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa, the current President of CELAC, applauded Maduro and Santos for conducting the talks with mutual respect and resolving to work together for a border of peace.
