MCA blames Anwar for causing Operasi Lalang

MCA pesident Liow Tiong Lai reminded the Chinese community in Kajang that it was PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim who caused the notorious Operasi Lalang in 1987, by deploying teachers who did not comprehend Mandarin in Chinese schools.
Liow had blamed Anwar for suppressing the Chinese education when he was the education ministry in the 1980s, causing dissatisfaction from the community followed by Operasi Lalang, under which 108 politicians and activists were arrested.
