Abu Zahar blames media for not reporting statement on Azam Baki ‘accurately'

MACC's Anti-Corruption Advisory Board’s statement was "not accurately and holistically" reported by the media, according to the board’s chairperson Abu Zahar Ujang.

He blamed the media for the controversy that arose from his January 5th press conference.

During the press conference he declared that MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki did not commit any wrongdoing with regard to his share ownership in 2015.

He said he was well aware that the board does not have the power to investigate criminal wrongdoing by an MACC officer.
