U.S. Navy divers deploy sonar in search for AirAsia wreckage

Navy divers from the USS Fort Worth... using sonar devices to search for wreckage from AirAsia flight 8501.

The Airbus A320 crashed in the Java Sea in stormy weather December 28th, killing all 162 people on board.

The Fort Worth -- currently based in Singapore as part of a rotational deployment -- joined the search on January 4th.

The Littoral Combat Ship has a shallow draft and is designed for speed and maneuverability.

The sonar team was operating from one of the inflatable boats carried by the ship.

An Indonesian search and rescue official says a U.S. Navy ship has located two more metal objects using sonar signals.

But it's not yet clear if they are part of the missing plane.
