Syrian refugees worried about winter's wrath

They have very little to keep them warm... and these Syrian refugees in Lebanon say they're feeling the threat of an approaching snowstorm.

Some mothers at this makeshift settlement camp in the Bekaa valley say they're especially worried about their young.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) SYRIAN REFUGEE, MONA, TALKING ABOUT THE BIRTH OF HER TWIN CHILDREN, SAYING:

"This time is so hard on us with the birth of the twins in this cold weather."

They're among over 3 million Syrians who have fled their war-torn country.

Humanitarian agencies have raised concern too, for the well-being of refugees who only have tents to protect them from the rain and wind.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) SYRIAN REFUGEE, SARAY, SAYING:

"During the past storm, it rained on us yesterday morning and during the day, and I have nothing, no firewood or anything. I have my little son and my daughter, I have nothing else."
