Fire rips through Pakistan market killing more than a dozen

Smoke fills the streets after a market erupts in flames in Pakistan.

More than a dozen people are feared dead after a fire broke out at a shopping center in the eastern city of Lahore.

The dead are transported to a nearby hospital.

Family members mourn those that they have lost.

The Lahore Commissioner describes the scene.

(SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) COMMISSIONER OF LAHORE, RASHID MAHMOOD LANGRIAL, SAYING:

"No one injured is here now. One person was wounded who had been discharged from the hospital. The rest all died by suffocation. May Allah rest their souls in peace and give courage to their families to bear the loss."

Last year a fire at development plaza in Lahore killed 24 people.
