The United Nations has condemned the government of for violence that has left at least two people dead. For years the government has promised farmers that it would pass rural development laws. Farmers took to the streets a week ago to demand that the government honor its promises. When the government failed to do so, the protests became violent, leaving at least two people dead. teleSUR
