More unrest, as police shoot black teen dead in St. Louis

Chaos erupts in St. Louis again as citizens take out their anger on the police, after yet another police shooting.

This time, officials say a white off-duty policeman shot and killed a black 18-year-old during a chase.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson says the teen shot first.

"I know emotions are high and I know tensions are high, but the reality is what we've seen or what the evidence tells me right now an individual pointed a gun at the police officer, fired at least three rounds and continued to pull the trigger."

Officials say the teenager was one of three people who fled after being approached by the officer...but the family says he was holding a sandwich, not a gun.

During the shootout, officials say the officer fired 17 shots.

The incident comes nearly two months after white police officer Darren Wilson shot dead unarmed black 18-year-old Michael Brown in nearby Ferguson.
