Obama holds talks with Italian president

Demonstrators calling for immigration reform in the United States continue to make their case in Italy as president Barack Obama heads to meetings with the Italian President.

Obama held a short meeting with Italian president Giorgio Napolitano before meeting with Italy's newly elected prime minister.

Italy is the second stop on Obama's European tour which is expected to be dominated by Ukraine.

The U.S. is threatening sanctions against key sectors of the Russian economy, after Moscow claimed Crimea. European allies have far closer economic ties to Russia than the U.S., and their still-fragile economies could face a backlash by getting tough with Moscow.
