Jim Jones Preaching William Branhams Message - Manifest Sons of God

William Branham was one of the main catalysts for, promoted by, and strongly affiliated with key individuals in the Latter Rain sect of Pentecostalism. This strange sect gave birth to various sub-sects, one of which was the “Manifest Sons of God” sect, or cult, of Pentecostalism. Like its parent sect of Latter Rain, the Manifest Sons of God sect was based upon doctrines that William Branham himself used as themes in his sermons. Within the Manifest Sons of God sect, there were two major groups: The Walk led by John Robert Stevens and the Body of Christ.

Manifest Sons of God theology is based upon the notion of creating Dominionism through perfecting the saints, and the notion of a latter-day "5-fold ministry including offices of apostles and prophets. Dominionism, known as “Dominion Theology”, is a set of political ideologies strategically chosen in an attempt to overthrow non-Christian members of government and enforce Christian-governed authority.

Key passages of text from the Christian Bible are used to recruit members into this extremist sect of Christianity. One passage is found in the first chapter of Revelation, most frequently using the King James translation of the Bible. The passage is describing the Seven Churches in Asia Minor, which is currently a large majority of modern Turkey, and offering praise to God for the establishment of kingdoms on earth. This is a passage William Branham began referencing in May of 1954 during the height of his strong affiliation with Latter Rain leaders such as Joseph Mattsson-Boze and A. W. Rasmussen:

And hath made us kings and priests unto God…his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. “Has made us priests and kings unto God.” “Us” is plural. Not “made me priest and a king;” but, “made us,” the Church. Now, he is addressing these seven churches, for it’s Seven Church Ages. Now, he said, “Dominion and glory, and be to Him for ever and ever.” “Has made us priests.” Did you ever know what a priest is, what his office is? A priest is to make sacrifice, to make intercession. And over in Hebrews, It said that we, the Church, is the royal priesthood, “A royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people.” See? “A holy nation, peculiar people, royal priesthood.” “Offering,” here it is now: “offering spiritual sacrifices,” every man and woman that comes to God enters into the veil.
