How to Slow Down or Speed Up Videos in VLC Media Player?

Method 1:

Step 1: Click on 'Playback' in top menu.

Step 2: Hover your mouse on 'speed', and then click options (Faster, faster fine, Normal speed, Slower fine, Slower) that you like.


Method 2:

Step 1: Click on 'Playback' in top menu.

Step 2: Find 'speed selector', and then drag it to the Line 2, and then click on 'close' button.

Step 3: Now, go to bottom menu, click on '1.00x', and you will see the slider.

Step 4: Slide to the right to make video faster or slide to the left to make video slower.


Method 3: By using Hot keys

Step 1: Click on 'Tools' in top menu, and then click on 'preferences'.

Step 2: Click on 'hotkeys'.

Now, you need to press keys on keyboard to adjust speed.

i) For faster, press + key.

ii) For slower, press - key.

iii) For normal rate, press = key.

iv) For faster fine, press ] key

v) For slower fine, press [ key
