Virat Kohli hit a career-best and Asia Cup record score of 183 in 148 balls as India chased down 330 to beat Pakistan in a thrilling encounter which kept their hopes of making the final alive, although should Bangladesh win against Sri Lanka, then their participation in the tournament will end.

Kohli was outstanding for India, as well as Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma after Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed had earlier both hit centuries and Younus Khan, whose record Kohli broke, hit a swift half-century.

Pakistan, however, by virtue of not losing by a large margin, have made it through to the final.
