Palace to Sara: Traveling abroad won't solve PH problems
Malacañang takes a jab at Vice President Sara Duterte after she defended her foreign trips as a way of addressing the growing frustration of overseas Filipinos over the state of the country. In a press briefing on Aug. 12, 2025, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said that traveling abroad would not solve the country’s problems. Duterte traveled to the Netherlands and Malaysia in May, Australia in June and then once again to the Netherlands and South Korea in July. She arrived in the country on July 28, the same day that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. delivered his fourth State of the Nation Address, which she skipped.

00:00I am frustrated with the people who are working,
00:06and they are not working,
00:08and they are not working with the corruption.

00:16they are not able to answer the trip
00:22to the people who are working on the problem.
