00:00:58BEGINNING.
00:00:59WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR WHAT HE

00:01:08NEW YORK AND IS NOW WALKING BACK
00:01:11HIS PUSH TO DEFUND THE POLICE.
00:01:13BUT ARE VOTERS BUYING HIS
00:01:15ABOUT-FACE?
00:01:16YOU ARE WATCHING FOX AND FRIENDS
00:01:18FIRST ON THIS THURSDAY MORNING.
00:01:19I'M CARLY SHOVEGAS.
00:01:20AND I AM TODD PYRO.
00:01:21LET'S GET RIGHT TO THAT BREAKING
00:01:23NEWS IN ARKANSAS.
00:01:24STATE POLICE HAVE ARRESTED 28-YEAR-OLD
00:01:27JAMES ANDREW MCGAN FOR MURDERING
00:01:29CLINTON AND KRISTEN BRINK WHILE
00:01:31HIKING IN DEVIL'S DEN STATE PARK.
00:01:33POLICE REVEALING HE WAS TAKEN
00:01:35INTO CUSTODY WHILE GETTING A
00:01:36HAIRCUT.
00:01:37NO MOTIVE HAS BEEN REVEALED AS OF
00:01:38NOW.
00:01:39BUT LAW ENFORCEMENT BELIEVES HE
00:01:41LIKELY DID NOT KNOW THE COUPLE.
00:01:44WE'RE NOT GOING TO TALK ABOUT
00:01:46HIS MOTIVE RIGHT NOW.
00:01:47WE'RE STILL EXPLORING AND TO
00:01:50DETERMINE EXACTLY WHAT THAT
00:01:52MOTIVE WAS.
00:01:53CAN YOU CONFIRM WE'VE SEEN
00:01:55VIDEO OF AN ARREST MADE AT THIS
00:01:59BEAUTY SHOP IN SPRINGDALE?
00:02:00CAN WE CONFIRM THAT THAT'S WHERE
00:02:02HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY TODAY?
00:02:03YES.
00:02:04HERE TO REACT IS FOX NEWS
00:02:05CONTRIBUTOR AND FORMER FBI
00:02:06SPECIAL AGENT NICOLE PARKER.
00:02:07NICOLE, GOOD MORNING TO YOU.
00:02:08SO YOU JUST HEARD IT THERE.
00:02:09WE DO NOT KNOW A MOTIVE YET.
00:02:10ONE NOTABLE DETAIL THOUGH IS
00:02:11THAT THE SUSPECT IS A TEACHER.
00:02:13IT WAS A FIFTH GRADE TEACHER.
00:02:15SO WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS
00:02:16ARREST?
00:02:17I THINK IT'S PHENOMENAL POLICING
00:02:18WORK.
00:02:19I MEAN, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN
00:02:20YOU HAVE LOCAL STATE AND FEDERAL
00:02:21PARTNERS WORKING TOGETHER.
00:02:22GOVERNOR SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS
00:02:24CAME OUT VERY STRONGLY AND SAID
00:02:26VIOLENT CRIME IN ARKANSAS WILL
00:02:28NOT BE TOLERATED.
00:02:29AND IF YOU WANT TO COMMIT THOSE
00:02:30ACTS IN OUR STATE, WE WILL HUNT
00:02:32YOU DOWN AND WE WILL FIND YOU.
00:02:34AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT
00:02:35HAPPENED.
00:02:36I FIND THIS CASE EXTREMELY
00:02:38CHILLING, CARLY.
00:02:39I MEAN, THIS IS SO DISTURBING.
00:02:41YOUNG LITTLE GIRLS OUT WITH
00:02:42THEIR PARENTS, YOU KNOW, ON A
00:02:44HIKING TRAIL.
00:02:45AND THEY HAVE BEEN, YOU KNOW,
00:02:47CLAIMED TO BE AND HONORED AS
00:02:48HEROES.
00:02:49THEY SAVED THEIR CHILDREN'S
00:02:51LIVES, BUT YET THEY WERE TAKEN.
00:02:53AND IT'S JUST ABSOLUTELY TRAGIC.
00:02:55THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO ANY
00:02:56CHILD.
00:02:57BUT WHAT'S SO ALARMING TO ME IS
00:02:59THAT THIS INDIVIDUAL HAD
00:03:01RECENTLY MOVED TO THE STATE OF
00:03:02ARKANSAS FROM OKLAHAMA AND
00:03:04HAD SUGGESTED THEIR CHILDREN'S
00:03:05LIVES.
00:03:06THIS IS NOT HAPPENING.
00:03:08THIS PERSON HAS NOW BEEN CHARGED
00:03:09AGAIN.
00:03:10YOU KNOW, LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS
00:03:12AND MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS THE
00:03:14RIGHT PERSON.
00:03:15THEY DO BELIEVE THAT HE ACTED
00:03:16ALONE.
00:03:17BUT THIS IS ABSOLUTELY CHILLING.
00:03:19AND I HAVE TO SAY HATS OFF TO
00:03:21LAW ENFORCEMENT.
00:03:22THIS MANHUNT WENT ON AND THEY
00:03:24FOUND THE INDIVIDUAL.
00:03:25AND LET'S MAKE SURE THAT
00:03:27JUSTICE IS SERVED.
00:03:28I'M GLAD YOU SAID MOVE.
00:03:30IN ALL YOUR YEARS AT THE FBI,
00:03:32DID YOU EVER SEE A CASE WHERE
00:03:33BOTH THE VICTIMS AND THE
00:03:35ALLEGED SUSPECT HAD BOTH JUST
00:03:38MOVED TO THE AREA WHERE THE
00:03:40CRIME OCCURRED?
00:03:41THAT JUST SEEMS ODD TO ME.
00:03:44I DID ACTUALLY PICK UP ON THAT
00:03:46AND FOLLOWING THE COURSE OF
00:03:47THIS INVESTIGATION.
00:03:48IT IS VERY INTERESTING, BUT
00:03:50THEY ARE SAYING THAT THIS
00:03:51SUSPECT DID NOT KNOW THIS
00:03:53COUPLE.
00:03:54AND SO, YES, THEY HAD RECENTLY
00:03:56MOVED TO THE AREA.
00:03:57HE HAD RECENTLY MOVED TO THE
00:03:58AREA.
00:03:59AND IT'S JUST, IT'S
00:04:00HEARTBREAKING.
00:04:01I MEAN, SOMETIMES IN LIFE, YOU'RE
00:04:02AT THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG
00:04:03TIME.
00:04:04BUT TO UNDERSTAND HIS MOTIVE IS
00:04:05GOING TO BE SO IMPORTANT.
00:04:06AND IT'S SOMETHING THAT THEY
00:04:07HAVE NOT REVEALED THAT
00:04:08INVESTIGATORS, I'M SURE, ARE
00:04:09DELVING INTO.
00:04:10OBVIOUSLY, NOW THAT THEY HAVE A
00:04:12SUSPECT, THEY ARE GOING TO, NO
00:04:14STONE WILL BE LEFT UNTURNED ON
00:04:15WHO THIS INDIVIDUAL IS, WHAT HE
00:04:17WAS LOOKING AT ON HIS PHONES,
00:04:18WHO HIS ACQUAINTENCES WERE,
00:04:20DOING EXHAUSTIVE INTERVIEWS,
00:04:22REVIEWING ALL FORMS OF EVIDENCE
00:04:23TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF WHO HE
00:04:25IS AND WHY DID HE DO THIS.
00:04:27THIS IS JUST A SICK, EVIL, AND
00:04:29HEINOUS CRIME.
00:04:30YEAH, HE WAS, AS YOU JUST
00:04:32HEARD, HE WAS ARRESTED AT A
00:04:33BARBERSHOP.
00:04:34SO, HE COULD HAVE POTENTIALLY
00:04:36BEEN TRYING TO CHANGE HIS
00:04:37APPEARANCE.
00:04:38WE'RE NOT SURE ABOUT THAT PART
00:04:40YET, BUT THAT'S A POSSIBILITY.
00:04:41ANOTHER ELEMENT, NICOLE, IS THE
00:04:43FACT THAT HIS LICENSE PLATE WAS
00:04:44TAPED.
00:04:45AND IF IT WAS TAPED GOING INTO
00:04:47THE PARK AHEAD OF THE KILLINGS,
00:04:48THAT WOULD INDICATE THAT THIS
00:04:50WAS PREMEDITATED.
00:04:51DO YOU THINK THIS WAS
00:04:52PREMEDITATED?
00:04:54I DO.
00:04:55I THINK THAT THAT'S SUSPICIOUS.
00:04:56I MEAN, WHO PUTS A TAPE OVER
00:04:58THEIR LICENSE PLATE?
00:04:59I MEAN, THEY SAW THAT MAZDA
00:05:01VEHICLE RUSHING OFF.
00:05:02THANK GOODNESS, AGAIN, LAW
00:05:03ENFORCEMENT WAS ABLE TO GET
00:05:04INFORMATION.
00:05:05BUT IN MY OPINION, THERE WAS A
00:05:09PRECIPITATING STRESSOR THAT
00:05:10CAUSED THIS PERSON TO DO THIS
00:05:11DAY.
00:05:12BUT AGAIN, UNDERSTANDING THE
00:05:13RELATIONSHIP AND THE LINK,
00:05:14ALLEGEDLY THEY DO NOT EVEN KNOW
00:05:15EACH OTHER.
00:05:16LET'S LOOK AT THIS PERSON'S
00:05:17MENTAL HISTORY, WHAT THEIR
00:05:18CRIMINAL HISTORY IS, AND GET TO
00:05:19THE BOTTOM OF WHO HE IS.
00:05:21BUT AGAIN, THIS IS JUST ANOTHER
00:05:23WAKE-UP CALL.
00:05:24I HATE TO SAY IT, BUT YOU ARE NOT
00:05:26SAFE ANYWHERE.
00:05:27AND I DON'T BELIEVE IN LIVING IN
00:05:28FEAR.
00:05:29BUT I BELIEVE THAT WE ALWAYS HAVE
00:05:30TO HAVE OUR HEAD ON A SWIVEL.
00:05:32THIS WAS A PART OF THE PARK, THAT
00:05:33THERE WAS REALLY NO CELL PHONE
00:05:34RECEPTION.
00:05:35THIS WAS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE.
00:05:36AND SO THAT WOULD BE A PRIME
00:05:37TARGET FOR THEM.
00:05:38THEY CAN'T EVEN CALL 911 IF THEY
00:05:39WANTED TO.
00:05:40BUT AGAIN, THIS INDIVIDUAL WAS
00:05:41ALLEGEDLY NEW TO THE AREA.
00:05:43LET'S SEE WHAT COMES OF THIS
00:05:45INVESTIGATION.
00:05:46BUT AGAIN, MY HEART GOES OUT TO
00:05:47THIS FAMILY.
00:05:48MY CONDOLENCES.
00:05:49THESE CHILDREN'S LIVES WILL
00:05:50NEVER BE THE SAME.
00:05:51TO LOSE A PARENT AND TO SEE
00:05:53THEM BRUTALLY MURDERED BEFORE
00:05:55YOUR EYES IS THE MOST EVIL AND
00:05:57DISGUSTING, DESPICABLE ACT THAT
00:05:58ANYONE COULD EVER COMMIT.
00:06:00BUT WE STILL HAVE SO MANY
00:06:01QUESTIONS.
00:06:02BEFORE WE LET YOU GO, NICOLE,
00:06:03ARE YOU HEARING ANYTHING FROM
00:06:04YOUR SOURCES IN THE FBI OR JUST
00:06:06IN LAW ENFORCEMENT IN GENERAL
00:06:07THAT HAS NOT YET BEEN REPORTED?
00:06:11THIS BROKE, SO, YOU KNOW, JUST
00:06:14SEVERAL HOURS AGO.
00:06:15I'M STILL LOOKING INTO THAT.
00:06:16BUT I DO KNOW THAT THE FBI DID
00:06:18ASSIST WITH THE INVESTIGATION.
00:06:19AND, YOU KNOW, THE ARKANSAS
00:06:20STATE POLICE WERE THE ONES THAT
00:06:21PUT CUFS ON HIM.
00:06:22AND SO THERE WILL BE MORE
00:06:23INFORMATION COMING OUT.
00:06:25AS OF RIGHT NOW, I DO NOT HAVE
00:06:26ANY MORE DETAILS OTHER THAN
00:06:27WHAT'S BEEN REPORTED.
00:06:28BUT I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THERE
00:06:30WILL BE A LOT OF INVESTIGATIVE
00:06:32DETAILS THAT WILL BE COMING OUT
00:06:33SOON.
00:06:34YEAH, THESE LITTLE GIRLS
00:06:36WERE SEVEN AND NINE YEARS OLD.
00:06:38AND THIS FIFTH GRADE TEACHER
00:06:39KILLED THEIR PARENTS RIGHT IN
00:06:40FRONT OF THEIR VERY EYES.
00:06:41THE FAMILY RELEASED A STATEMENT
00:06:42SAYING CLINTON AND KRISTIN DIED
00:06:43HERE.
00:06:44IT'S PROTECTING THEIR LITTLE
00:06:45GIRLS AND THEY DESERVE
00:06:46JUSTICE.
00:06:47THEY WILL FOREVER LIVE ON IN ALL OF
00:06:50OUR HEARTS.
00:06:53FOX'S CONTRIBUTOR AND FORMER FBI
00:06:54SPECIAL AGENT NICOLE PARKER,
00:06:55THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR JOINING
00:06:56US ON THIS BREAKING NEWS.

00:07:47I AM NOT RUNNING TO DEFUND THE
00:07:49POLICE.
00:07:50ANDREW CUOMO IS FAR MORE
00:07:54COMFORTABLE LIVING HIS LIFE IN
00:07:56THE PAST AND ATTACKING TWEETS OF
00:07:582020 THAN IN RUNNING AGAINST THE
00:08:00CAMPAIGN THAT WE HAVE BEEN
00:08:02LEADING FOR THE LAST EIGHT
00:08:03MONTHS.
00:08:04SO LET'S LOOK BACK AT THOSE
00:08:06TWEETS IN 2020.
00:08:07MUNDAMI WAS SAYING SOMETHING
00:08:09ELSE, POSTING, WE DON'T NEED
00:08:10AN INVESTIGATION TO KNOW THAT
00:08:12THE NYPD IS RACIST, ANTI-QUEER
00:08:15AND A MAJOR THREAT TO PUBLIC
00:08:16SAFETY.
00:08:17WHAT WE NEED IS TO DEFUND THE
00:08:19NYPD.
00:08:20HE LATER DOUBLED DOWN MONTHS
00:08:22LATER THAT YEAR SAYING WE NEED
00:08:24TO ELECT A SOCIALIST CITY
00:08:25COUNCIL TO DEFUND THE NYPD.
00:08:27MONTHS LATER ON THE ANNIVERSARY

00:08:30HE SAID THERE IS NO
00:08:32NEGOTIATING WITH AN
00:08:33INSTITUTION THIS WICKED AND
00:08:34CORRUPT.
00:08:35HE SAID THERE IS NOTHING
00:08:37TO FUND IT, DISMANTLE IT, END
00:08:38THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE.
00:08:40AN AUTOPSY SAYS ISLAM SUFFERED

00:17:28Heat, it continues to be one of the big stories across the country.
00:17:30However, it is beginning to retreat a little further south.
00:17:33All of the alerts today, really just in the southeast, so not spread as far across the country as we've seen in previous days.
00:17:39Those numbers will still be big, though.
00:17:41Feels like temperatures up to 105 pretty much across that region.
00:17:44You notice the same thing for tomorrow, but again, it's pushed even further towards the south
00:17:48because cold air finally funneling in for the northern tier.
00:17:52What does cold air look like?
00:17:53Well, when it's been up into the hundreds, daytime highs in the mid-70s look pretty good.
00:17:57That's going to be the forecast today across most of the Midwest.
00:17:59You notice that blue line settles further towards the south as you get into Friday,
00:18:03and that means those comfortable temperatures continue to expand a little further to the south as well.
00:18:08The other weather story for folks across the northeast and in the mid-Atlantic,
00:18:11from New York down to D.C., really the I-95 corridor,
00:18:15we're looking at some major flooding happening later this afternoon into this evening.
00:18:19This is the sixth time that we've seen this level three out of four in July.
00:18:22So it has been a really kind of wet, soggy month for this particular part of the country,
00:18:28and flooding could be an issue again, especially in some of the big cities.
00:18:30Not just this part of the country.
00:18:32Flooding has been the name of the game so far this year.
00:18:35It's wild.
00:18:35When it's as hot and as humid as this is, like that rain has to come down.
00:18:38Adam, thank you.
00:18:39Yep.
00:18:39Police arresting a man accused of dousing this Virginia City Councilman in gasoline before setting him on fire.
00:18:48Police say the suspect stormed into an office and dumped a five-gallon bucket of gas on Danville Councilman Lee Vogler.
00:18:55The victim tried to escape, running to the front of his work building, but the suspect was able to catch up.
00:19:00Councilman was airlifted to a regional medical facility for treatment.
00:19:03According to officials, the suspect knew Vogler, and the attack stemmed from a personal matter.
00:19:08He's now being held without bond and is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated malicious wounding.
00:19:16The FBI and DOJ confirming there is an open federal investigation into that brutal Cincinnati brawl that went viral over the weekend.
00:19:23Three suspects appearing in court yesterday now facing charges like assault and aggravated riot.
00:19:29Police say two others have also been charged but not yet arrested.
00:19:31Video capturing the moment the brawl escalated with one man getting hit over and over and over again.
00:19:37It remains unclear what sparked the fight, but federal officials say they're looking into it.
00:19:43And take a look at this.
00:19:44More than two dozen protesters caught on camera delivering a fake coffin to a Republican congressman's home in Wisconsin last week.
00:19:52The protesters seen walking up Congressman Brian Stiles' private driveway to hold what they called a, quote, death of democracy funeral procession.
00:20:01On the cardboard coffin was an epitaph condemning the congressman for endorsing President Trump's big, beautiful bill.
00:20:07Officials say the incident has been reported to Capitol Police.
00:20:10It's unclear if any of those protesters are facing criminal charges.
00:20:15Carla.
00:20:15All right, listen to this.
00:20:16A retired detective is hoping to do something no Republican has done in over 100 years.
00:20:21Win an election in his county.
00:20:24Elvis Alvarez is running for sheriff in Hudson County, New Jersey, after spending 25 years as an officer.
00:20:30He is also the son of Cuban immigrants.
00:20:33And Elvis joins me now to tell us about his race.
00:20:36Elvis, thank you so much for joining us.
00:20:37Tell us about yourself and why you're running.
00:20:39Good morning.
00:20:39Good morning.
00:20:39Thank you for having me.
00:20:42Well, as you just stated, I'm a 25-year veteran of the West New York Police Department.
00:20:47More than half of that time, I was a detective in two facets.
00:20:53About seven to eight years, I was a detective with crimes and issues that dealt with adults.
00:20:59My last six years, I was involved with juvenile crimes and juvenile issues.
00:21:04During that time, I built a strong relationship with my community.
00:21:08As a police officer, as a small business owner, as a youth football, basketball, and baseball coach, I believe that when you're in a position to give back, you should give back.
00:21:19And I was fortunate to do so.
00:21:22And I still continue to give back to my community.
00:21:25So after I retired, the opportunity came up to run for sheriff.
00:21:30And I said, after leaving my community as a police officer, I'm still there, but leaving in the function of a police officer, I said, I'd like to take that to a bigger scale.
00:21:40I'd like to try to help the county as I helped my community.
00:21:44Okay.
00:21:44Well, Hudson County, as we said, has not elected a Republican in about 120 years.
00:21:49Kamala Harris won the county with over 62% of the vote in 2024.
00:21:54Democrats currently outnumber Republicans four to one.
00:21:57It sounds like an uphill battle.
00:21:59How is your candidacy being received?
00:22:01Mixed reviews.
00:22:02Believe it or not, though, even though we are outnumbered four to one, according to the last election, a lot of the towns are closing the gap.
00:22:12So Kearney, New Jersey, actually flipped red.
00:22:16West New York, my town, was about 10 points higher.
00:22:19And the town next to me, North Bergen, was within 10 points of flipping.
00:22:22So whether that's due to new people living in the county or maybe some of the old Democratic or old guards saying, hey, we're going to pivot away a little bit because we're not in line with the social issues and crime issues, that remains to be seen.
00:22:41But it's promising.
00:22:42And that's where you see an opening.
00:22:43So we mentioned that your parents are Cuban immigrants.
00:22:46How has that shaped your political views?
00:22:48Well, yeah, I'm the son and grandson of Cuban exiles that came in the early 60s.
00:22:54We're not in line with the Leninist Marxist ideology that Cuba, you know, makes people fall in line.
00:23:03And hitting closer to home now, we have a candidate in New York City in the mayor of Zora Mamdani, who is a socialist.
00:23:09Yes, not a good idea.
00:23:10Yeah, how do you feel about that?
00:23:12I think it's scary.
00:23:13I think it will impact New Jersey.
00:23:15The people that can move, will move.
00:23:18They'll move to Florida.
00:23:20They'll move to Texas.
00:23:20They'll move out of the area.
00:23:22The people that aren't as wealthy or aren't as well off will move to New Jersey.
00:23:26It will cause overpopulation, overdevelopment, and it will put a huge stress on the infrastructure.
00:23:32Yeah.
00:23:32There was just a shooting in New York City on Monday where a police officer died.
00:23:39There are concerns about violence targeting police officers, ICE officers as well.
00:23:44How do you view that in public safety in general?
00:23:47What would you do to make your community safer?
00:23:49Well, that's a good question.
00:23:51And one of my top priorities is trying to build trust with the community.
00:23:57If you don't have a trustful community, a trusted police officer, you have nothing.
00:24:02A police department is only as strong as its community.
00:24:05So that would entail a lot of reach-out programs, a lot of youth outreach programs as well to try to strengthen the community, get out there, let the people see who you are, let the voices be heard, let the people speak up, and work in collaboration with them.
00:24:19Well, the election is on November 4th, so we will be watching Hudson County Sheriff Republican candidate Elvis Alvarez.
00:24:26Thank you so much for joining us.
00:24:27Thank you for having me.
00:24:28It's an honor.
00:24:28You're very welcome.
00:24:29All right, Todd, over to you.
00:24:30Carly, speaking of campaigns, Kamala Harris closing the door on entering the race for California governor.
00:24:35But is she leaving the door open to make another bid for the White House?
00:24:41Jill Biden's former press secretary, Michael LaRosa, answers that next.
00:24:46But it won't hurt to do it all once more.
00:24:51This is my last hurrah.
00:24:53Once I start, I ain't gonna stop till I go too far.
00:24:57Last hurrah.
00:24:58And it's okay.
00:25:00Maybe don't know.
00:25:01I won't feel this pain.
00:25:03Last hurrah.

00:29:59Get good at money so you can be a little fat.
00:30:03Empower.
00:30:08Happening today, Mike Donilon, former senior advisor to President Biden, is going to testify as part of the probe into the alleged cover-up of Biden's decline.
00:30:16This just one day after top Biden aide Steve Reschetti reportedly told the panel that Biden was fully capable of being president even today.
00:30:26But a source adding, Mr. Reschetti admitted that they all knew President Biden's age was an issue and were dealing with it as a political matter.
00:30:34But here's the real sentence.
00:30:36In preparation for the infamous debate, Steven Spielberg helped President Biden prepare for it.
00:30:41Michael LaRosa is a Democratic strategist and the former press secretary to Jill Biden.
00:30:46He joins me now.
00:30:47Mike, great to see you as always.
00:30:49I don't know.
00:30:50What did Steven Spielberg, a guy with a directing career who brings fiction to the big screen, really do to prepare Joe Biden for a debate, which quite frankly entails two guys standing there answering real-life questions?
00:31:04I don't get it.
00:31:04I don't either, but either Steven Spielberg, I'm sorry, either Steven Spielberg failed to do a good job of producing his debate prep or they did because the president wasn't even looking into the camera and doing the things from a production standpoint.
00:31:22He should have been doing to communicate with his audience.
00:31:24So it was a real failure in prep to sort of simulate what a debate would look and feel like for the president because he was off in, well, a variety of ways.
00:31:34There are ET and Jurassic Park jokes there.
00:31:36I'm going to leave them for Greg Gutfeld to make.
00:31:38I'm going to move on.
00:31:40Reschetti telling Congress yesterday that Biden was fully capable.
00:31:44Did Reschetti have the same confidence in Joe Biden behind closed doors as you witnessed this all unfold during your time in the White House?
00:31:53Yeah.
00:31:53I mean, Steve is one of the kindest, most friendliest people in Democratic politics I've ever met.
00:32:00And he's a great human being, very loyal to the Bidens.
00:32:03He's worked with them.
00:32:04They trust him implicitly.
00:32:06But it's very clear, you know, they drank their own Kool-Aid.
00:32:10They're very higher on their own supply, that democracy, people were sitting around talking around democracy at home when clearly they were very out of touch with the reality that the American people, via all of the research and polling data out there, said this guy was not up for the job and they wanted a different choice.
00:32:30And the political advice the president received for four years about his future was just out of touch with reality.
00:32:38Looking ahead to Donald on today, what do you expect him to say specifically?
00:32:42Are you expecting any bombshells based upon, again, what you saw during your time in the White House?
00:32:48I'm not.
00:32:48I wouldn't expect anything very different from Steve or Ron Klain.
00:32:52I do think, though, that for the people who took the Fifth Amendment, the former aides, it's interesting that the people who they report to did not.
00:33:05So the people more senior to those taking the Fifth did not take the Fifth Amendment.
00:33:11And that's going to be something that the committee will have to sort of wrap their heads around and try to figure out.
00:33:16That certainly is, I think, the most intriguing part of this.
00:33:19I'm glad you mentioned it.
00:33:20Finally, before we let you go, Kamala Harris says she will not run for California governor in 2026.
00:33:26Knowing you as you as you do, what do you make of this decision?
00:33:30And then what do you think this means for a potential re-presidential run in 2028?
00:33:36Look, it was the right call.
00:33:38It was a good instinct because she lost two million votes from the four years earlier when President Biden won California, her home state.
00:33:49So she would have had, I think, some challenges to overcome, even among democratic voters in California.
00:33:57I think it was the right call.
00:33:58I do think it means she's going to run.
00:34:00I fully expect her to run for president again.
00:34:03She's young.
00:34:04She's been sort of running and in political office her entire adult life.
00:34:12I don't expect her to sit the next election out.
00:34:15But I hope she's able to overcome some of her previous challenges, mainly, you know, communication, answering questions, taking declarative positions, and, you know, a degree of authenticity that only comes with accessibility, which unfortunately she was not.
00:34:32Well, you know, if she's looking for a Democrat consultant to help her with communications, I know a guy, his name, Michael LaRosa, and he got up for us earlier this morning.
00:34:40We appreciate it.
00:34:40Thank you, Michael.
00:34:42A dozen House Democrats suing the Trump administration, accusing officials of blocking access to immigration detention centers.
00:34:49Chanley Painter is here with all the details.
00:34:50Hey, Chanley.
00:34:51Hey, Carly and Todd.
00:34:52So this lawsuit comes after the Maryland congressional delegation were denied entry to a Baltimore ICE processing facility on Monday.
00:34:59And now a coalition of Democratic lawmakers is suing the Department of Homeland Security, citing the agency's new policy requiring them to give a week's notice before any visit.
00:35:08Well, in a statement, Representative Jamie Raskin says this, quote,
00:35:12The Trump administration is systematically violating our legal right as members of Congress to conduct oversight of DHS facilities.
00:35:20The lawsuit also argues that the new policy violates provisions of various appropriations bills that say agency funds cannot be used to block lawmakers from visiting facilities.
00:35:31In response, DHS Assistant Secretary for Communications said this, quote,
00:35:36These members of Congress could have just scheduled a tour.
00:35:39Instead, they're running to court to drive clicks and fundraising emails.
00:35:45Well, in May, Democratic Representative LaMonica McIver of New Jersey was charged for allegedly assaulting law enforcement officers outside a detention center.
00:35:56I don't think I need to tell you what happened to me when I did an oversight visit.
00:35:59I mean, literally, they're getting stopped every second to get into these facilities and see what's happening.
00:36:05And these facilities are a problem.
00:36:07Like, they literally are a problem.
00:36:09And this is the issue across the nation of Democrats or people that have been elected to serve you and make sure they're doing oversight, which is our job.
00:36:19And, of course, guys, all this comes as DHS says assaults against ICE officers are up by 830 percent.
00:36:27830 percent, and they're just trying to do their job.
00:36:30Shanley Painter, live for us.
00:36:31Shanley, thank you.
00:36:32Let's bring in Axiom Strategies Republican strategist Erin McGuire.
00:36:35Erin, good morning to you.
00:36:36Thanks for joining us.
00:36:37So this is becoming a trend of Democrats trying to check in on these ICE facilities only to be turned away.
00:36:42All of this is, of course, to score political points.
00:36:45So who's winning the messaging war here?
00:36:47When it comes to the messaging, Democrats are making an absolute mess of themselves.
00:36:54Hysterics and political theater are not going to persuade voters that Democrats are on the right side of the immigration argument in this country.
00:37:03These are the same Democrats who have espoused open borders, defund ICE.
00:37:08They have villainized and chastised members of Customs and Border Protection, and now all of a sudden they care about what's happening when it comes to immigration only because it involves enforcement.
00:37:20Instead, what Democrats should do is join with President Trump, who has secured the southern border of the United States, and start enforcing the laws and making the necessary changes so that our country is safer.
00:37:32Political theater does not help this country become more sovereign and safer and get these illegal immigrant criminals out.
00:37:39So who are Democrats siding with yet again?
00:37:42Illegal criminals, illegal immigrants, and not the American people.
00:37:46Democrats need to do their job, and apparently they can't read the rules either, because if they applied for a tour, they would have gotten one.
00:37:54This is a holding facility with possible criminals in there.
00:37:57Why do you think you can just show up and storm in?
00:38:00That's insane behavior, but that is the moniker of the Democrat party.
00:38:03Yeah, well, DHS is saying, yeah, just schedule a tour, give us a week's notice, and everything will be okay.
00:38:08So from Maryland to New York City, we go, and the latest polling shows Zora Mamdani, the Democrat candidate for mayor,
00:38:14is massively in the lead.
00:38:16The question, who would you vote for mayor?
00:38:18Mamdani received 50%.
00:38:21Cuomo, Sliwa, and Adams combined have less than that, with Mayor Eric Adams, the incumbent, with just that 7% less than the Republican candidate.
00:38:31So there's a New York Times article titled,
00:38:33Anybody But Mamdani, Five Groups Emerged to Raise Millions in Attack Funds.
00:38:38It goes on to say, real estate titans and financiers are forming super PACs to try to defeat Zora Mamdani.
00:38:44Some organizers say that they won't succeed unless Mayor Eric Adams or former Governor Andrew Cuomo drops out.
00:38:51So what do you think is going on here, Erin?
00:38:54The thinking among some is that even with all the money in the world,
00:38:58Zora Mamdani is going to win unless another candidate drops out,
00:39:03because right now all the other three are split in the vote.
00:39:07That's true.
00:39:08And this outside money could play an important factor,
00:39:11because as we've seen historically,
00:39:13television ads are still the best way in politics to deliver a message.
00:39:17So that kind of money going into a very expensive media market in New York City
00:39:21could help move voters.
00:39:23But even if Cuomo and Adams dropped out,
00:39:26that's still not of enough of a coalescing to be able to beat Mondami at this point.
00:39:31If you have a D next to your name in the state of New York,
00:39:34it's not very hard to lose.
00:39:37It's not very hard to, yeah, it's not very hard to lose.
00:39:39But Cuomo alienated himself here.
00:39:42He was the one who was chased out of office for saying that he was Italian
00:39:45when he was accused of sexual harassment.
00:39:47So New Yorkers said no to that.
00:39:49Good choice there.
00:39:50Eric Adams alienated himself from the city and Democrats rejected him.
00:39:54But you can look in any city in the state of New York
00:39:56and you will see a failed Democrat like you're going to see
00:39:59with Mondami in New York City.
00:40:01You can look in Buffalo and Binghamton and Rochester and Albany.
00:40:05Democrats fail across the state,
00:40:07but this is what New York has decided with a uniparty.
00:40:10And this could lead to a political revolution.
00:40:13If Mondami wins New York City
00:40:15and drives it into the ground with his socialist policies,
00:40:18that is an opportunity for a Republican governor
00:40:20to beat Hochul come the next election.
00:40:23Republicans can unite.
00:40:25Normal New Yorkers can unite and win this state back,
00:40:29but it's going to take a political revolution
00:40:30and Mondami might be the one to do it.
00:40:32That could be a lose the battle, win the war type of scenario.
00:40:35Republican strategist Erin McGuire, thank you for joining us.
00:40:39All right.
00:40:40You might want to breeze through airport security using TSA PreCheck,
00:40:44but scammers are taking advantage
00:40:46and using a simple scam to steal travelers' personal information.
00:40:50It's not good.
00:40:51Kurt the Cyber Guy here to explain how you can keep your data safe
00:40:55ahead of your next trip.

00:46:00Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wants to give everyone their own personal superintelligence through AI.
00:46:06A lot has been written about the scientific and economic advances that AI can bring,
00:46:12and I'm really optimistic about this.
00:46:15What I think an even more meaningful impact in our lives is going to come from everyone
00:46:19having a personal superintelligence that helps you achieve your goals,
00:46:23create what you want to see in the world,
00:46:25be a better friend, and grow to become the person that you aspire to be.
00:46:29Kurt, the cyber guy joins me now.
00:46:30Kurt, maybe I need some of this superintelligence
00:46:32because I don't know what the heck he's talking about.
00:46:34Can you tell me what he means by this
00:46:36and how AI is going to be utilized for this daily in my day-to-day life?
00:46:42Todd, good morning to you.
00:46:43What he's saying is AI should not replace us,
00:46:45but instead he appears to be trying to win a high school political race.
00:46:51I mean, he sounds like a robot alien more than anything else
00:46:55with that absence of emotion delivery he consistently offers in public.
00:47:01Meta shares up significantly now, 11% up earnings yesterday,
00:47:06reported in the late afternoon trading.
00:47:08You're going to see the market respond to that today.
00:47:10This likely has to do with him just trying to spin that.
00:47:13Facebook, Instagram are the two big companies inside of Meta,
00:47:17and they really want you to believe that they are AI-focused,
00:47:21and they want the market to believe that this morning.
00:47:23And this is largely a message from him saying,
00:47:27oh, you can trust me,
00:47:29says the guy who has single-handedly invaded Americans' privacy
00:47:33better than any other media company or big tech company on the planet.
00:47:38That's well said.
00:47:39That was my next question.
00:47:40What is his play here?
00:47:41You answered that perfectly.
00:47:43Again, I still don't know what he's talking about.
00:47:46I mean, it's all like these pie-in-the-sky ideals.
00:47:48You'll become smart.
00:47:49You'll become this.
00:47:50It is, high level.
00:47:50There's also a lot of concerns with AI,
00:47:53and he did not address them there,
00:47:54but we will move on to something that is really concerning right in front of us
00:47:58and happening right now.
00:47:59TSA issuing an urgent warning for the latest scam poise to steal your money,
00:48:04and travelers are falling forward.
00:48:06What do we need to be on alert for, Kurt?
00:48:08So, Todd, literally last week went with my sister-in-law to help her get enrolled in TSA pre-check.
00:48:15We went in person.
00:48:17The official location for her to go present her identification was a staple store of all places,
00:48:22but that came to us because we went through the official channel of TSA.gov.
00:48:28Well, scammers now are realizing people like you and me who already have TSA pre-check
00:48:33don't want any slowdowns at the airport, especially during summer travel,
00:48:37so they're sending lookalike emails or ads claiming to sign you up either for pre-check
00:48:42or to re-enroll you, saying it's going to expire soon.
00:48:45Well, first-time applicants should never, ever pay pre-check fees online,
00:48:50so that's a red flag.
00:48:52Only official TSA enrollment centers are where you would pay.
00:48:56Only TSA works with three approved providers, and fees are always under $100.
00:49:01Red flags to look out for here, email links, high-pressure tactics, rushed payment requests.
00:49:08Next, scam sites are made to use these, they have, it's called malvertising,
00:49:15which is malware inside of their advertising, and they're using AI to look very, very legit.
00:49:21That's why a lot of people are falling for this.
00:49:23So if you think you've been scammed, though, report at the FTC immediately.
00:49:27Contact your bank if you linked any of your cards to that.
00:49:30And then the tips on this one, Todd, only apply for TSA pre-check through that government source.
00:49:35It's got to have a .gov in the back of the email or the web address.
00:49:40Never click on any ads or email links offering pre-check enrollment,
00:49:44and then verify that any site uses that .gov before entering any personal or payment information.
00:49:51Credit cards are better than debit cards for all your online activity,
00:49:54and use very strong antivirus protection on all of your devices.
00:49:58That can help prevent these kinds of attacks from even getting to you and catching us off guard,
00:50:04because that's what happens.
00:50:05They just catch us off guard like, oh, crap, I just clicked that link.
00:50:09I'm not that dumb, but yeah, we are.
00:50:11And it happens.
00:50:12Cyberguy.com is where you can, we'll get you hooked up.
00:50:14Apologize for stepping over the plug there, especially when it comes to the website.
00:50:17You need to make sure it's a .gov because they can make these websites look like a government website,
00:50:21and they're not.
00:50:23Kurt, the Cyber Guy, as always, thank you, sir.
00:50:24We appreciate it.
00:50:26Now let's go to Brian Kilmeade with what's coming up on Fox & Friends.
00:50:29Hey, Brian.
00:50:30Hey, it's going to be a packed show.
00:50:31I hope we get it all in.
00:50:33If not, Hemmer and Dana Perino can actually sleep in, because we'll go that extra hour.
00:50:38Fox News alert.
00:50:3925 people were sent to the hospital after a Delta airline flight was diverted to Minneapolis.
00:50:44Severe turbulence is the reason.
00:50:46We have a live report.
00:50:48Plus, New York City mayoral candidate Zoran Mandani, back from Uganda,
00:50:52has got a walk back to fund the police views, statements, social media.
00:50:56He says, why is everyone bringing that up?
00:50:58I don't know.
00:50:58You made it public, and we barely know you, and Texas has been a top one-way U-Haul rental state
00:51:04for the past five years.
00:51:06We put Steve into Dallas.
00:51:08We said, go get busy.
00:51:09Find out why.
00:51:11He's in a Dallas diner.

00:54:46I've seen what you do.
00:54:47I mean the hand soap.
00:54:48That was just one time.
00:54:49You tried to moisturize with butter.
00:54:51Hey, that was premium butter.
00:54:52Either get your head in the game, or I'm walking.
00:54:54The mirrors can't walk.

00:56:04Keep the faith, hold the line, and own the libs.
00:56:10I came up with this idea.
00:56:15All right, stop what you're doing and look at this.
00:56:17Not me.
00:56:18The video.
00:56:18A couple's dream wedding proposal in Santorini, Greece.
00:56:22Uh-oh.
00:56:22Going viral.
00:56:23After they're literally photobombed mid-proposal.
00:56:26Soon-to-be-groomed got down one knee when another man and a woman walked directly into the frame.
00:56:31The man even eats a snack as the pair remains completely unaware of what's happening behind them.
00:56:37Although you can't tell because of the blockage, the future bride did say yes.
00:56:42Now get this, Carly.
00:56:43Couples looking for the photobombers.
00:56:45Saying in a local interview, we would love to invite them to our wedding.
00:56:49Oh, turning a negative into a positive.
00:56:52Hey, honey, is that a bird over there?
00:56:53Have you ever seen that species before?
00:56:55Thanks for the protein shake.
00:56:56I'm told that once you get married, you have kids.
00:57:00We're being told that that was staged?
00:57:02It may be staged.
00:57:03Are we getting an update from our producer?
00:57:05Wow.
00:57:06Way to ruin the story, Nick, but also be factually accurate, which is what we do here on Fox and Friends First.
00:57:11That is hilarious.
00:57:12And I saw that video all over social media yesterday.
00:57:14So I hope that if it wasn't staged, that the four do get to, the two get to go to the wedding.
00:57:19We'll give you an update tomorrow.
00:57:20Meantime, as parents grapple with the anxieties of raising kids, some are turning to AI for help using apps like ChatGPT.
00:57:27She is a co-parent to help with meal planning, scheduling, managing stress, but not everyone supports the cutting-edge approach to caregiving.
00:57:34That's right.
00:57:35One such parent is Ginny Urich, the founder of 1,000 Hours Outside.
00:57:39She is a mom of five, and she joins us now.
00:57:42Ginny, good morning to you.
00:57:43So the New York Post featured a mom who says, I love turning off my brain and letting AI help raise my child.
00:57:50ChatGPT has become a second mommy.
00:57:52What do you think about this?
00:57:55Well, we always have to think about the fact that technology has two sides, and we're sold the promise.
00:58:00We just saw the clip where it says Mark Zuckerberg talks about your personal super intelligence.
00:58:05Who wouldn't want that?
00:58:06But technology always comes with glitz and glamour, and it comes with peril as well.
00:58:10And as Americans, I think we've been horrendous at really projecting out what is that peril going to be.
00:58:17Consider the smartphone.
00:58:19Now we have this youth mental health crisis, this epidemic for our kids that we didn't really extrapolate out for.
00:58:25And so when it comes to chatbots and how they interact with our parenting, we have to spend some time thinking about what does that entail?
00:58:34What do we lose alongside of what do we gain?
00:58:36So you think about, are we reading less?
00:58:39Are we not calling grandma?
00:58:40Are we not calling friends to get the advice that we're now getting from these chatbots?
00:58:45Are we losing sort of the humanality part of trial and error?
00:58:50You know how it is?
00:58:51You know, you've got kids, and you're trying to get them to go to sleep, and you're trying to figure out your meal plan, and you're trying to figure out all of these different stages.
00:58:58And there's something to be said for the struggle through and for the triumph at the end.
00:59:03And so there are things that we lose when these new technologies come, and we have to be better as a society and as individual families of thinking through what might those be, and in the meantime, using those technologies sparingly.
00:59:17Yeah, to your point, if you have AI do your thinking for you, don't you run the risk of losing the ability to solve your own problems, which you will need at a time when, let's say, AI is not available, the Internet's down or something.
00:59:27Yes, and you're modeling to your kids.
00:59:30What are we modeling to our children when we have problems, when we come up against hard things?
00:59:35And there are fantastic books out there talking about parenting, and you can dive into those, and those become a part of you, and they are very different from a quick answer.
00:59:45The technology always comes with an ideology, and the ideology here is speed, and is speed always what we're looking for?
00:59:51These parents are stressed out, and part of the reason is because we're moving so fast.
00:59:56Maybe a move back to a slower childhood to restore American childhood to a slower pace, into a pace that works for the family and for the kids is part of the answer here.
01:00:06We're in this rat race, and it's not really working well for anyone.
01:00:10So if we can take a step back, do some of the historically normal practices like hopscotch and getting outside and all of those things that build the competencies of the future that our kids are going to need, these chatbots are not going to help us with our relational skills.
01:00:24That was one of the things that Mark was touting.
01:00:26So we really have to make sure that we have some breath.
01:00:29We've got to get outside.
