00:05:43Spring Breakout with college students from all over the world who descend on the place
00:05:49affectionately known as the Redneck Riviera to bring you the greatest wrestling action in the world.

00:11:54Kidman defending the belt against the former champion Rey Mysterio Jr.
00:11:58And an incredible number of near falls in this match as the tide,
00:12:02as the momentum swung back and forth between these two superstar competitors.
00:12:06I tell you right, that was a great game of human chess.
00:12:10This went back and forth and Kidman wouldn't stop.
00:12:13Rey Mysterio wouldn't stop.

00:12:15They went all the way to the end.

00:39:41And, Dusty, you know, there's been such a groundswell of support in recent weeks for Ric Flair.
00:39:46He is now the full-time permanent president of World Championship Wrestling.
00:39:51Yet my sources insist that last Monday at Nitro, there was a disturbance that involved you and some of Ric Flair's people.
00:39:58Could you shed some light on that?
00:39:59Your sources.
00:40:00Well, I mean, you have sources.
00:40:02Let me put a little light on this whole situation.
00:40:07Remember back, refresh your memory in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
00:40:11Dusty Rhodes was chosen as the third man in the ring with the Nature Boy.
00:40:16Ric Flair was in heavy conference with me all week long.
00:40:21Questionable call, they say, in the Malinko Bear-Wendor match.
00:40:25I called it like I seen it.
00:40:27From that time on, his rise to glory, his rise to the presidency, his movement into the front office became very easy for him.

00:42:08And things that I was going to do before J.J. Dillon, the big buddy J.J. Dillon, walked out and become commissioner.

00:51:54And his opponent, Rick Steiner, noted for his amateur background at the University of Michigan.

00:52:03Mickey J, the referee, and the same type of styles that you touched on there, Professor.
00:52:08Don't forget, not only Ric Flair defending the world title,
00:52:12but Hack pushed a challenge after Goldberg.

00:54:25It was Fit Finley doing everything to keep Rick Steiner grounded just like this move here.
00:54:30I'm sure an attempt to prevent Steiner's offense, which includes those devastating suplexes.

00:54:38Finley knows that reputation and doing exactly what you said, trying to ground the Gremlin.

00:54:56As you probably know, Ric Flair on Thursday night made an announcement
00:54:59that he was stripping Scott Hall of the United States Heavyweight Championship.
00:55:04Failure to defend the title within the allotted time, which is usually around 30 days.
00:55:08Of course, that's Ric Flair's call, 30 days or not.
00:55:11Nevertheless, the tournament is underway to determine a new United States champ.
00:55:15He had a first round match by Tenet on Thursday night.
00:55:18And of course, he'll all end the finals of the tournament at Spring Stampede in Washington on Sunday, the 11th of April.
00:55:25And it was Ming scoring a victory in that first round of the United States title tournament.
00:55:29Tony, I believe we're going to have another U.S. title tournament matchup later in the broadcast tonight.
00:55:34It all leads to the next big world championship wrestling pay-per-view event when we will pay off with a winner and a new U.S. champion at Spring Stampede on April the 11th.
00:55:44That's exactly right. It looks like it's going to be Scott Steiner, Big Papa Puff, and Chris Jericho in the tournament.

00:55:51And also, we heard Rey Mysterio Jr. tell Kidman that he would give him a return title bet at Spring Stampede should Kidman want it.

00:59:55He returned this past Thursday on Thunder with a victory over Prince Ikea in Louisville, Kentucky.

01:00:07This is El Vampiro, born in Canada, very successful as a competitor throughout the world in Japan and Mexico.
01:00:14Started at the age of 16 years of age wrestling in Canada.
01:00:18He's been a pro for 15 years.
01:00:20That look that you see in the ring certainly reflects his life outside of professional wrestling,
01:00:25where he has spent some nine years as the lead singer in his own hardcore punk band.
01:00:34His opponent is quite a fighter in himself.
01:00:37Juventud Guerrera, the former Cruiserweight champ.
01:00:40See, he's sweating.
01:00:41No, he always comes out like that brain.
01:00:43He's always sweating.
01:00:44Well, maybe he is.

01:06:07It's not really a one-sided affair in that Juventud is firing back,
01:06:11but I really believe that El Vampiro, with the weight advantage here,
01:06:15his blows are having more of an effect than Juve's blows on him.
