00:00Previously on Project Runway.
00:02Antonio, you're in.
00:04Casey, that means you're out.
00:06Ethan, as the winning designer,
00:08you're going to have an opportunity to swap.
00:10I'm going to swap Jesus with Madeline.
00:14I'm happy Ethan let go Jesus
00:18because I don't need drama.
00:21Each house must create an activewear capsule collection.
00:24I'm going to tear it up.
00:26But what if your team doesn't?
00:28Ethan, I think you knew that you had a great look
00:30and you didn't give a about the other people on the team.
00:33Jesus, you were our favorite look. Congratulations.
00:36You shut me up.
00:38But I do have to tell you, Antonio,
00:40yours was our least favorite in the winning team.
00:43It sucks.
00:44Angelou, you really need to bring in a sense of drama.
00:48Step it up.
00:49I think it kind of looks like a tampon.
00:52I mean, this is unwearable.
00:54I love a corset.
00:55At the sauna.
00:56Guys, the story has to match.
00:58You cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining.
01:03A state for the winner is $200,000,
01:06a spread in Elle magazine,
01:08and a life-changing mentorship with the CFDA.
01:11This is Project Runway.
01:13Angelo, Alex, and Vijay, you're all disappointed this week.
01:25I know that my work is better than the both of them,
01:29so they need to go home first before me.
01:32Vijay, you're safe. You can leave the runway.
01:37Oh, my God.
01:38I can cure this emptiness.
01:46Alex, your construction left a lot to be desired,
01:50and you missed the mark.
01:52I adore Angelo, but I have a lot more to offer.
01:56I don't want to go home.
01:58Angelo, in this competition, you have to remember that showmanship
02:03is just as important as craftsmanship.
02:08All I'm thinking is I need this for my daughter.
02:11I cannot go home this early.
02:13Alex, Angelo, one of you will be in,
02:18and one of you will be out.
02:23Angelo.
02:26You're in.
02:27You can leave the runway.
02:34Thank you, guys.
02:36I'm sorry, Alex.
02:37That means you're out.
02:38Afidazi.
02:40It was lovely to meet all of you.
02:43Good luck.
02:44Well, it's not fun to be the second person going home.
02:49That's for sure.
02:52No, I deserve it.
02:53I really do.
02:54It's not.
02:55No.
02:56It's not a good example of my work at all.
02:58Is it going to be like this each week?
03:00this shit.
03:01Yeah.
03:02off.
03:05You know, I don't disagree with the feedback
03:07that the judges had.
03:08This is a incredible, fun experience
03:11that I've been able to have.
03:12Alex!
03:13Alex!
03:14Alex!
03:15Wow.
03:17What's next is we're going to go home.
03:19We're going to have a sauna.
03:23And life will continue on.
03:28You guys ready to get pushed a little harder?
03:30Yeah.
03:31Mm-hmm.
03:32I think until now,
03:33there really hasn't been any clear leaders
03:35in either challenge.
03:36So I think we're going to blow it up.
03:39Uh-oh.
03:41So Ethan and Jesus,
03:43for winning the first two challenges,
03:45each of you are going to become the leaders
03:48of your own house.
03:50Yes, sir.
03:52Versus.
03:53Bring it.
03:54Oh, my God.
03:55Bring it.
03:56Oh, my God.
03:57Another team challenge.
03:59I don't want to be on either team.
04:01I just can't wait to work by myself
04:04without thinking about other people.
04:07Oh.
04:08You'll be picking your team shortly
04:10and choose wisely.
04:12I'm so excited.
04:13Good luck.
04:14See you soon.
04:15The team is hot, Ethan.
04:19I always wanted to start my own house.
04:21This is insane.
04:22Such a twist.
04:23Honestly, I feel like it's going to be a tough competition
04:25because I know how talented Ethan is.
04:27Oh, the shape.
04:28It's going to be a battle.
04:29I'll make it look good.
04:30What is that?
04:31It's a group challenge.
04:33It's time to pick teams,
04:34so things about to get spicy.
04:36I think I found my name.
04:37Woo!
04:38Woo!
04:39Woo!
04:40Woo!
04:41Woo!
04:42Woo!
04:43Woo!
04:44Woo!
04:45Woo!
04:46Woo!
04:47Woo!
04:48Woo!
04:49Woo!
04:50Woo!
04:51Woo!
04:52Woo!
04:53Woo!
04:54Woo!
04:55Woo!
04:56Woo!
04:57Hello, designers.
04:58I'm sure you guys are wondering, what are these bags?
05:01Yes.
05:02Each of these bags are fabrics that I would say are considered boring.
05:10So PNC Bank believes whether it's managing your money responsibly
05:13or sewing the same stitch for hours, actions that seem boring
05:17are essential to create brilliant results.
05:20So in these bags are basic fabrics and textiles.
05:24Seen on a bolt or a design table,
05:26they might be considered.
05:27Oh!
05:28Oh!
05:29Oh!
05:30Oh!
05:31Oh!
05:32Oh!
05:33But when slowly and thoughtfully designed and fabricated,
05:34something boring transforms into something beautiful.
05:37So the two houses will select from three mystery bags of boring
05:40to inspire brilliant looks on the runway.
05:43Ethan and Jesus.
05:44So you have the power to choose your houses.
05:46My strategy is to pick designers that are great tailors.
05:50Definitely want my twin brother and my team because I know how good we work together,
05:54but I'm thinking Ethan, strategy-wise, might take him away from me.
05:58Jesus and Antonio love to be heard.
06:03I'm going to try to keep all of the firecracker energy out of my group.
06:08We're going to flip a button to decide who picks first.
06:11Good luck.
06:12Oh!
06:13Oh!
06:14It's Ethan.
06:15Ethan.
06:16Oh, wow.
06:17All right.
06:18My first pick is each other.
06:23Thank you, baby.
06:24My first pick is going to be Antonio.
06:28Of course.
06:29Hello!
06:31Ethan, you're next.
06:32Joseph McCray.
06:33Oh!
06:34Madeline.
06:35Miss Joan.
06:36Thank you, thank you.
06:37BJ.
06:38I am shocked Jesus picked me because we don't really get along.
06:51Oh, my God.
06:52Lord.
06:55Angelo.
06:57Baby.
06:58Woo!
06:59I've always been picked last.
07:02Melania.
07:04But it's fueling me to show I'm actually the special sauce.
07:09I got all the skills.
07:10You just don't know it yet.
07:11Because Ethan got to pick first.
07:14It's only fair if Jesus picks first the bag of morn.
07:18I was born with a pack of two, so I'm going to pick two.
07:22Okay.
07:23Let's see.
07:24Oh!
07:25Oh!
07:26This is your fabric.
07:29Fun.
07:30What do you think?
07:31I like it.
07:33It's a gray wool.
07:34We can make this fabric look really expensive.
07:37They can have it all day, every day.
07:40That's ugly.
07:41There's barely any stretch on it.
07:44Keep it.
07:45We don't want it on this side.
07:46All right, Ethan.
07:47I'm going to choose number one.
07:48Okay.
07:49Let's see.
07:50Please be better.
07:51Please be better.
07:52Please be better.
07:53It looks like...
07:54Denim.
07:55Denim!
07:56Yeah!
07:57All right.
07:58Denim is so versatile.
07:59It is classic.
08:00It can be modern.
08:02We got the best material.
08:03So now that you have the foundations for this challenge, each house must create a capsule
08:09collection that shows that boring can be brilliant.
08:11This is about exploring volume, textures, making a bit of innovation.
08:15But anything here can be fresh, including a basic bag of boring.
08:20Hmm.
08:21And I have a special twist.
08:23My very dear friend Sofia Vergara will wear the winning look!
08:27Woo!
08:28Wow!
08:30So you guys better come up with something fabulous or she will never talk to me ever again.
08:35Oh, I can't wait.
08:36I want to win this challenge.
08:38I'm so ready.
08:39Last week, Heidi said that my look wasn't our favorite.
08:42I kind of want to redeem myself.
08:44We have Sofia Vergara, the Princess of Colombia.
08:48This is Estrada Girl.
08:49This is what we love to dress.
08:50Let's do this!
08:51You guys will have until the end of tonight and three hours tomorrow to make these collections.
08:57Oh my God, another one day challenge.
09:00Ah, this is Project Runway and it will never be easy.
09:03Good luck making boring brilliant.
09:06See you on the runway.
09:08Here we go!
09:13So, I really wanted to have a name for the house.
09:16Okay.
09:17Catalina.
09:18Catalina is a very beautiful flower from Colombia.
09:21It comes from the family of the orchid.
09:24And considering Sofia Vergara is our guest judge, I was thinking playing with the structure
09:30to create volume and beautiful silhouettes, right?
09:35Do you know what a Catalina flower is?
09:37No, not really.
09:39But I can't get inspired if I don't know how it looks like.
09:41So, yeah.
09:43Like this.
09:44And there's the orchids here.
09:45It's like this.
09:46Like that.
09:47Beautiful structure like this.
09:49I'm not like a girly, girly designer.
09:52I'm more like modern and edgy and sexy.
09:55So, okay.
09:56How can I modernize it?
09:58What is the Catalina aspect of your outfit?
10:03I don't know.
10:04I'm just asking because this is the inspiration, right?
10:06Yeah.
10:07So, we have to defend like...
10:08Well, it's good to say it now.
10:09Yeah.
10:11Girl, I'm honestly getting a little annoyed because BJ is fighting me on the inspiration.
10:16Let's not forget that I'm the team leader.
10:19So, just do what I say.
10:22Jesus has a very strong personality and so do I.
10:26So, I'm afraid that we will clash.
10:33House of Jesus, are we all doing flowers?
10:36I think we should.
10:37Yeah.
10:38I think because of structure.
10:39Yeah.
10:40BJ?
10:41I'm not sure yet.
10:43BJ, I don't want yours to look like complete.
10:46Like it doesn't belong in the collection.
10:48BJ is very quiet and doesn't really share what she's designing.
10:52You know, she's like a silent killer.
10:53Like all of a sudden, you're like, whoa, where'd that look come from?
10:56At the end of the day, one look can ruin your win.
10:59I kind of want to know what you're doing.
11:01So, then that way we can like, maybe you have a good technique.
11:04Yeah.
11:05That we could use.
11:06You know what I mean?
11:07And share that with us.
11:08Yeah.
11:09Yes, we're going to help each other.
11:11But no, I'm not going to share everything that I have in my mind.
11:14You have to be creative on your own.
11:16Hey.
11:17Welcome to team Ethan.
11:19We have the house of Ethan.
11:22Or like I like to call it.
11:24Ho.
11:26Our overarching theme is showstoppers.
11:30Huh?
11:31Okay.
11:32I think that we should prioritize using fringe.
11:37Fringe.
11:38Do we want to take a couple of minutes and just draw?
11:39Yeah, let's draw it.
11:40I love this friction pen.
11:41And luckily, they're erasable.
11:42It's a lifesaver right there.
11:43Okay.
11:44Ethan, so this is like the fringe idea concept and then this is the ruffle.
11:48Yep.
11:49You have two really good ideas.
11:50We're going to dive into fringe.
11:51Okay.
11:52Yes.
11:53With the cool hat.
11:54Okay.
11:55You know, Ethan is the head of the house, so he kind of selects which design that he
12:10thinks each designer should do.
12:11We're going to do the flow with the Swoopy Swoopy.
12:14So I'm making a frayed denim design paper of blue tiled, which is the mitt better idea
12:22So I'm making a frayed denim gown with frayed accents
12:27and a frayed spiral headpiece.
12:30You have to do this hat.
12:31Yeah.
12:32It could be really beautiful.
12:33That's not my favorite look of the ones I sketch,
12:36but I'm trying to be a team player.
12:42Hello.
12:43Trisha.
12:44Hello.
12:47Wow.
12:48Are we feeling good?
12:49I don't see a lot done at all.
12:52We're just starting.
12:53I keep it fresh.
12:57So what are you doing?
12:57I wanted to do a powerful coat.
12:59This kind of like idea of the Catalina flower
13:02and moving it into the waist.
13:04Yeah, I mean, this coat, if this is it,
13:06has to be perfect.
13:11So everybody was doing kind of a dress bodice type of thing,
13:14and I said, let me step out and do pants that's tailored.
13:18This is so dynamic as a pant.
13:20Oh my god, I know.
13:21I'm screaming.
13:22Groundbreaking.
13:23Honestly, I've never seen a pant more interesting
13:26in my entire career.
13:29I know how to rework a boring uniform into something cool.
13:33Since I have dyslexia, this is how my process works.
13:36Dyslexia switches the letters around.
13:38So I had to learn early to see disorganization
13:41or see confusion and make it make sense.
13:44So Christian, chill, baby.
13:47I got this, OK?
13:49So in the collection, I'm going to go at the end.
13:52This is the finale moment.
13:53The finale moment.
13:54I'm designing a beautiful mermaid gown,
13:56incorporating the Catalina flower.
13:58I want to be on top.
13:59I want Law to tell me what he told my brother.
14:01You shut me up.
14:03You shut me up.
14:04You've got to make sure that this silhouette
14:06is just really interesting.
14:08Noted.
14:09BJ, you're making a pencil dress again.
14:12What happens on her hips?
14:14They open?
14:15Oh, yeah.
14:16Yeah.
14:17So this is skin?
14:18Yes.
14:19Wow.
14:20OK.
14:21I saw this fabric and was thinking, like,
14:23Goldman's sleeve and then an open back here.
14:25Mm-hmm.
14:26It's very chic and classic.
14:28Yeah.
14:29But I don't think it's that exciting.
14:35I'm going to do this most sick, high-waisted pant,
14:38and it's going to have a window.
14:40How is this standing up?
14:41I am a master of boning.
14:44Yeah.
14:46Boning is understructure that helps garments have shape
14:50to make them larger than life.
14:52If you can master boning, you can make any garment
14:56submissive to your whim.
14:58It's my first time to use boning, to be honest.
15:00First time to use boning ever?
15:01Yep.
15:02Yep.
15:03OK.
15:04This is my design.
15:05I was trying to make this storm dress.
15:07So if it doesn't work, it's going down.
15:10I'm just saying.
15:12What are you making?
15:14I got the pencil skirt that's going to go underneath,
15:16and I'm playing with this shape.
15:18Is this your vibe?
15:19Switching it up.
15:20I don't want you to take on something
15:22that you really don't do and isn't your aesthetic.
15:25Yep.
15:26I kind of agree with him, but at the same time,
15:28I wanted to stick to my ground and not create another pant.
15:31I feel like if I execute that, it's enough to make it to the next week.
15:35OK, Joan.
15:36What is all that?
15:38Fringe?
15:39Fringe.
15:40Oh, God.
15:42I just think that's just not that interesting.
15:46Mm-hmm.
15:47It's been done literally 100 million thousand times.
15:50From Britney to Steven Tyler to every Project Bondway designer
15:53that's ever been in this competition has done a frayed edge denim dress.
15:57Oh, no.
16:01Does it feel good, Mr. Christian?
16:03What are we supposed to do?
16:04Like, take all of it off and put nothing on the runway?
16:06Like, I don't have time or the bandwidth to pivot.
16:10So you've got to make it the best fringe-seamed edge thing you've ever seen.
16:15You have a lot to do.
16:17Good luck.
16:18I'm shook.
16:19I'm shook.
16:20All right.
16:21Battle of the houses.
16:22It's truly a battle.
16:23I still think a lot needs to happen before these collections become brilliant.
16:28Don't forget that all the boring things are right, like the hems and the zippers.
16:33All the details need to be perfect.
16:35The judges are going to be watching.
16:37OK, get to work.
16:39Bye, everybody.
16:40Bye.
16:41Good night.
16:42Still standing by the fringe.
16:45So we have a battle.
16:48Mm-hmm.
16:49It's got to be interesting.
16:50Right.
16:51Whew.
16:52That did not go well at all.
16:55I am worried about the direction that we're going as a team.
16:59Showstoppers is not a theme.
17:02It's a vision, you know.
17:04And I just think this whole fringe thing was a last-ditch effort to try to make it make sense.
17:11I am really concerned about this challenge.
17:18Come get some.
17:19Come get some.
17:20You know that you want to come get some.
17:23Rumi, what do you think of this edge on here?
17:26Utica was saying we add a fringe.
17:29Trust your instinct, Rumi.
17:31I'm trying to be a team player, OK?
17:34I am really surprised about Ethan's choices.
17:37I think his goal is not to win the group challenge.
17:40His goal is to be the strongest.
17:42He loved my piece, so I'm in a good spot.
17:44But I want to make sure that y'all are in a good spot.
17:47Oh.
17:48Jesus, do you already know what the other team is working on?
17:50I don't know.
17:51I see a lot of volume and a lot of, like, you know?
17:55I am extremely worried for the House of Ethan.
17:58They are all over the place.
18:00I really don't understand what Ethan is creating.
18:03Ms. Jones is really confused.
18:05Yushin doing this dress that I know it's going to be impossible
18:10for him to finish it on a one-day challenge.
18:13Elania.
18:14Yeah?
18:15This is a concept that I had in mind for us
18:17to all incorporate the ruffle.
18:19Like, look at the color.
18:20The more circle.
18:21The more circle.
18:22Yeah.
18:23That's a cascade.
18:24Yeah, I see.
18:25At first, I wasn't sure how I was going to interpret
18:27the Catalina flower, but now I see it.
18:30I'm liking what everyone is working on,
18:33and we're really making boring brilliant.
18:36Kristen!
18:38Hello.
18:39Who wants the model?
18:40You ready?
18:41What?
18:42I don't even have a dress to fit on her.
18:43Hello, ladies!
18:45Excited to work with you!
18:46Oh, me too!
18:47How are you?
18:48Sorry.
18:49I have nothing to fit on you right now.
18:51Wait.
18:52You have nothing to try on?
18:53Oh, no.
18:54What are you going to do?
18:56What if you cut this like you're going to,
18:59safety pin it down flat,
19:01and put it on her?
19:02Yeah.
19:03Right now.
19:04Okay.
19:05The clothes need a lot of, like,
19:06you know, hand stitch,
19:07but Christian is saying,
19:09I have to put it on the model anyway.
19:12Getting the structure to do this,
19:14it's gonna be a little bit tough.
19:16It's not working.
19:18I feel very frustrated.
19:19It's gonna take a lot of finesse.
19:22The nightmare is happening.
19:24I have to completely start over.
19:27We'll whip out something easy
19:28and something that's in your wheelhouse
19:30that isn't so elaborate.
19:32I really don't know.
19:34I really don't know.
19:35You can either, you listen to me
19:37and I make it easier for you,
19:38or you continue to struggle with your piece.
19:41Pick a lane.
19:42This is it?
19:43It's just a pencil skirt?
19:44No, no, no, no.
19:45This is the bottom.
19:46It's four layers.
19:47You didn't make that in denim yet?
19:49I can't make it in denim
19:50because it's gonna be too heavy.
19:51The outer layer's gonna be done.
19:52What if you don't have time?
19:54Oh, Lord, Ethan, I'm worried.
19:57Yes, my team is struggle bussing.
20:01You guys, really?
20:03We don't have a lot of clothes to fit.
20:06So really, this is gonna be it?
20:08Multiple people are just not gonna fit things?
20:10Ethan, your team has no clothes.
20:12Yuchen couldn't even get his off the mannequin.
20:15He has no bottom at all.
20:18And that's a pencil skirt.
20:19And if that's happening, then good luck.
20:21You might as well just say goodbye.
20:24I really believe that the other group
20:26should feel worried because Christian is actually panicking.
20:30It's crazy.
20:31We'll see you on the runway.
20:37The showstopper aspect is my whole MO.
20:39And I am realizing in the thick of it
20:42that it's a real challenge for the team.
20:44Maybe it just was a bad decision.
20:50And just come up with something new,
20:51something fresh that you know that you can whip out
20:54that has that wow factor.
20:56Hey, Jay.
20:57He started it again.
20:59I have six hours left.
21:02I have to make something else.
21:04I don't wanna drag the team down
21:05because Ethan picked me first.
21:07I have to make it work.
21:08I have to make it work.
21:09Show me what you're working with.
21:11Show me, show me.
21:14Wow, guys.
21:15It's runway day.
21:16It's runway day.
21:17Hey.
21:18Morning, guys.
21:19She's a designer.
21:21Oh, my God.
21:23Oh, my God.
21:25She's a designer, a model, and a drag queen.
21:30I'm the drag queen.
21:32Bitch.
21:33My team is struggling.
21:36And it's like Utica is all about light, uplift,
21:39and truly that showstopper energy.
21:41So if there's anything that's gonna get my team on track
21:44to be a showstopper, it's her.
21:47Yes.
21:48We thought you were the only models.
21:50Yurika.
21:51Oh, my God.
21:53Perfect.
21:56I have to finish my top and my skirt and some hem off the cake.
22:00I'm so determined to finish my look.
22:02If I don't make this happen, I'll go home.
22:07Hello.
22:08Christian, meet Yurika.
22:09I see her.
22:10I wish that look was going on the runway,
22:12other than some of these other ones.
22:14Oh.
22:15No tea, no shade, no pink lemonade.
22:18All right, houses.
22:19It's the final stretch.
22:20Don't forget to send your models to the Ulta Beauty Salon.
22:23Hola, hola.
22:25Bring out her natural features.
22:26I love the makeup.
22:27It's really chic.
22:28That is everything.
22:29I'm so excited.
22:30You deliver.
22:33I'm just gonna have to open up one of these darts.
22:35No.
22:36Do it tight.
22:37It looks snatched.
22:38Trust me.
22:39Being paid last, I was just like,
22:41my team is overly scrutinizing my look.
22:44But fit is important.
22:45And even though I'm not as confident as the other designers,
22:49I'm feeling good about tailoring stuff,
22:51because I'm a tailor type of girl.
22:52I just need to clean everything up.
22:54I'm telling you, this is perfect.
22:56Do not change the zipper.
22:57Okay.
22:58Do it like that.
22:59What is this?
23:01I'm making a very sexy top and a very sexy,
23:04like, you know, skirt inside, like a dog jacket.
23:06So it's a whole new look.
23:07We're leaving this room in less than 10 minutes.
23:10So good.
23:11Yes.
23:12Oh, my God.
23:13His suit.
23:14Yes.
23:15So I'm a little worried.
23:16Their collection is very good and very strong and very done.
23:20I'm definitely stressing.
23:22The law is gonna cut you up.
23:24Oh, Lord.
23:27And welcome to the runway.
23:28As you know in fashion one day you're in.
23:29And the next day you're out.
23:30Each house was asked to create a capsule collection, transforming something boring into something
23:48brilliant.
23:49Oh, my God.
23:50That's brilliant.
23:51We can't wait to see what you've made for the runway.
23:53All right.
23:54First, let's meet our judges.
23:55CFDA, award-winning stylist and image architect, La Roche.
24:00Guest judge, co-founder of the fashion line, favorite daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:07And actress, model and icon, Sofia Vergara.
24:13I love it.
24:14I missed you.
24:15Hi, guys.
24:16Hi.
24:17You guys look wonderful.
24:18Not only is she my dear friend, but she will be wearing the winning look to an upcoming
24:20event.
24:21This is so exciting.
24:22Thank you very much for being our guest.
24:23And I'm hoping that this is good.
24:24All right.
24:25Let's start the show.
24:26I got that what you want.
24:27This is the outfit I want my brand to be in the world of.
24:40I am kind of loving the material, though, even though it's boring.
24:44It looks like something that's from a different era, but it also looks like something that's
24:49from a different era, but it also looks like something that's from a different era.
24:54But it also looks like a little bit futuristic in a way.
25:08This is hot.
25:09If you have the legs for it, this is amazing.
25:11You have them.
25:12No, I don't.
25:13You do.
25:14I am so ecstatic.
25:16Those cutouts are on fire.
25:18It's a dangerous dress.
25:20She's sexy, but very mysterious.
25:23And I really love it.
25:31Oh, my God.
25:36I took very basic wool to something extraordinary.
25:40Wow.
25:41I love it.
25:42To the people who always choose me last, my skills are delicious and top tier.
25:47We got that fire.
25:48We got the heat.
25:49When I finish a garment, it fits the body like a glove.
25:52I mean, that looks expensive.
25:54Party going up right now.
25:56Get, get, get out.
25:57My look looks expensive, well-tailored, well-made.
26:00It's a soaker.
26:01I think it looks really cool on the runway with the dramatic color, the ruffle coming down.
26:06Sofia is smiling.
26:07What an honor to see Sofia Vergara.
26:08I can't stop looking at my design.
26:09I feel like I've done it again.
26:13See my full mermaid gown.
26:14I'm so proud of myself for really understanding this inspiration of the Catalina flower and the structure of it made it so beautiful.
26:31And looking at Sofia Vergara's face, smiling, like saying, wow, spectacular.
26:40I can see you wearing that one.
26:41Yeah.
26:42Like all of those.
26:43Never.
26:44I am so proud of my house.
26:46We made the collection that we were set up to design.
26:50Good luck, Ethan.
26:56This is a showstopper.
26:59It's grand.
27:00It has silhouette.
27:01It takes denim.
27:02Makes it fun.
27:03The window works.
27:07I set out to create a grand moment.
27:10And I did that.
27:11How do you get inside the car?
27:13Well, you don't.
27:19Wanted to be a team player.
27:21It has the frayed edges, almost like a little cape.
27:24That's just who I am as a designer.
27:27When I commit to something, I just go for it.
27:34I don't know what to think.
27:35There's a lot going on on this one.
27:37I'm really proud of my denim jacket.
27:44The overall look, the fit came out really good.
27:47Look at me.
27:48Look at me.
27:49Look at me.
27:50Look at me.
27:51Look at me.
27:52Look at me.
27:53Look at me.
27:54Look at me.
27:55Everybody knows that I flaunt like this when I walk, walk.
27:57Oh, I love that.
27:58My idea of a showstopper is simplicity and volume.
28:01So I could see her taking it onto a red carpet
28:04to be like a cool but quirky but still like that it girl.
28:07Or she just sort of like a stroll down the street.
28:10But listen, come on now.
28:11It's a moment, baby.
28:13To do that with denim, that's not easy.
28:15Yes, girl!
28:16When she opened that cape, that's the sexiest thing I've ever seen in my life.
28:25This look represents my resilience.
28:28It really shows how I can make something totally new in six hours.
28:33I'm going to see your next film when you go to Coachella.
28:40Yes, Diva!
28:41As frantic as it was, our individuality was really shown.
28:46And we did the job of showstoppers.
28:48And the whole collection, I think that it's cool.
28:51But if the judges don't like it, I could be on the chopping block.
29:01Okay, we scored your designs.
29:03And one house was truly brilliant.
29:06The winning look will come from the winning house.
29:08Well, the eliminated designer will come from the losing house.
29:12House of Jesus.
29:16You were our...
29:20Favorite house!
29:26Wow, congrats, guys.
29:27Wow, wow, wow.
29:28It feels very empowering to be a leader and to have my house win.
29:33To be in the top three first week, to one second week, and then now third week again.
29:39Good job, Jesus.
29:40Okay, House of Utica.
29:42We're going to talk to you later.
29:43You can leave the runway.
29:46No, not the House of Ho being in the bottom.
29:49Damn!
29:50How could you put something this sickening in the bottom?
29:55Tell me, judges.
29:56Tell me.
29:57Wow.
29:59What a day.
30:01I'm not surprised.
30:02We're in the bottom.
30:03I think we got carried away with Ethan's plan to create a showstopper piece.
30:08Definitely a little frustrating.
30:12Congratulations.
30:14I felt like you worked together.
30:16I was so impressed with the tailoring.
30:19So impressed.
30:21Spectacular.
30:22I mean, I could definitely wear many of those designs that you guys prepared this time.
30:26We want to talk to the three designers with our three favorite looks.
30:33Jesus.
30:34Wow.
30:36Antonio.
30:39And Polonia.
30:41Congrats.
30:42Woo!
30:44So that means Madeline and DJ, you're safe.
30:47You can leave the runway.
30:48Thank you so much.
30:49Thank you so much.
30:50Thank you so much.
30:53All right.
30:54Let's bring out your models.
30:58Hi.
30:59Oh, my God.
31:00This material is nothing boring at all.
31:03No.
31:04Amazing.
31:05It actually makes it elegant.
31:06The material makes it elegant.
31:07Expensive.
31:08Yeah.
31:09This is by far the best looks of the season so far.
31:11I can really see each and every one of you being a winner in this challenge.
31:16Yeah.
31:17Yeah.
31:18All right.
31:19Jesus, we're going to start with you first.
31:20Yes.
31:21I really am impressed.
31:22I mean, wool can go very wrong.
31:24That could look floppy and it looks impeccable.
31:28Like the way that you tailored this coat, that was risky.
31:32I mean, I usually can wear things that have so much volume over here.
31:37But I think I could because it's open, low.
31:40It's amazing.
31:41It's spectacular.
31:42And I think this could look beautiful in any woman.
31:44Gracias.
31:45Yes.
31:46You did a really good job at taking up fabric that's considered as boring.
31:51But I think it's absolutely sophisticated.
31:53Thank you so much.
31:54And you shut me up twice.
31:55Wow.
31:56Two runways in a row.
31:58So congratulations.
31:59Thank you, Jesus.
32:00Another one of our favorite looks came from Bolania.
32:04Oof.
32:05This thing falling down her neck.
32:07I've never seen anything like it in my life.
32:10It's a lot, but it's not.
32:12I think it was perfect for this material.
32:15It was perfect for the color.
32:16It was perfect for me.
32:20It feels timeless.
32:22I can see a superstar or a model of every era wearing this suit.
32:27Truly, I see it.
32:28Oh, I would definitely put Zadaya in this.
32:29Oh, yes.
32:30Without a doubt.
32:31It's super sexy.
32:32She can show her shoulders.
32:34All the pretty parts of a woman is showing.
32:36Just, ah.
32:37It's the peplum.
32:38Just like, almost like this race.
32:39It was.
32:40And the peplum.
32:41There are no notes.
32:44This felt like something I had never saw before.
32:47And I've seen so many clothes.
32:49But this I will never forget.
32:51Ever.
32:52Please, you're going to make me cry right now.
32:54You should be very proud.
32:58So many long, long, long years I was not seen, not recognized for my skills and abilities.
33:03So, getting praise for it feels really good.
33:05It definitely confirms and reaffirms why I'm here and I feel seen.
33:13That leaves us with Antonio.
33:16It's gorgeous.
33:18I can also see Sofia wear this.
33:20Yeah.
33:21It's elegant.
33:22It's spectacular.
33:23Absolutely gorgeous.
33:24Thank you so much.
33:25But that being said, I just want to point out a couple things that I think could have made it a little better.
33:29Had you trimmed the petal that's coming down just a little bit just to pull the snatch the waist in.
33:36All right, it's time to name the winner.
33:39The winning look truly wowed us by taking gray wool and bringing in structure, detail, and really a lot of elegance to bring brilliance out of boring.
33:51Oh, never boring.
33:52Well, Sofia, since you are going to be wearing the winning look, I'll give you the honor.
33:57I mean, I will wear all of them.
33:59But if I only had money for one, I would say Belania.
34:08Oh.
34:09Yay.
34:10Yay.
34:11No.
34:13Oh, my gosh.
34:14Congratulations, Belania.
34:17I'm shocked.
34:18Literally, I'm like.
34:19That's how I feel.
34:20And Sofia Vergara is going to wear your look.
34:22Oh, yes.
34:23Work that body.
34:26House of Jesus.
34:27You can leave the runway.
34:28Bravo.
34:29Gracias.
34:31Whoa.
34:32I've won a challenge on Project Runway.
34:37Yes.
34:38This part made me born like a baby.
34:41I was like, please, y'all, stop.
34:44Winning this challenge makes me feel like I'm getting closer to defining who I am as a designer.
34:50Finally, seeing a little bit of the vision in the light of what's been inside of me for so long.
34:56So, don't choose me last, y'all.
34:58Choose me first.
34:59And we can win together.
35:01All right.
35:02Let's talk to House of Ethan, or should I say House of Utica?
35:06Yeah, I'm not surprised.
35:10I kind of had a feeling, you know, Ethan's leadership for this challenge was an epic fail.
35:17The direction that we were going as a team was all wrong.
35:21And here we are.
35:23All right.
35:24House of Utica.
35:25Tell us about your collection.
35:26I come from the world of drag.
35:27So I brought this idea to the team of creating showstoppers to create a moment, to create big silhouettes.
35:44And I think we did a darn good job getting that aha.
35:48I understand that you wanted to have the wow.
35:50You know, we also want to be wowed.
35:52But I feel like you didn't keep in mind Sofia.
35:55Sofia will wear the winning look.
35:57So it's kind of like, don't you have that in the back of your head?
36:00Yeah.
36:01Most importantly, we would like to bring out the three looks that we liked the least.
36:09Joseph, Yujin, you're safe.
36:13You can leave the runway.
36:14Thank you guys.
36:16Which means Joan, Angelo, and Utica.
36:23Unfortunately, you created our least favorite looks.
36:26All right, let's bring out your models.
36:32Okay, Angelo, let's talk about your design.
36:35There's just so much to look at.
36:37It's so busy in all the wrong places.
36:41I like the jacket.
36:42Does the jacket come off?
36:44Yeah.
36:45The jacket with the corset and the pants would have been very wearable.
36:50Turn around, please.
36:52Everything looks so crooked.
36:54No.
36:55Angelo, thank you.
36:57All right, Joan.
36:59It's a very confusing design.
37:02Those pieces of denim are not beautiful to look at.
37:05You don't even want to touch them.
37:07It looks shredded.
37:08It looks like something bad happened to it.
37:11I mean, no doubt she would get worse dressed than that.
37:14That does not look luxe.
37:15Well, you know, I'm an evening wear designer, and this was the assignment.
37:21This is the direction we were given as a team.
37:24You know, and I'm trying to be a team player.
37:26Direction from who? Your leader?
37:27Yes.
37:28Yes.
37:29We submitted sketches.
37:31This is what was selected for me to design, so.
37:34And now you're in the bottom because you let somebody push you away from what your aesthetic is.
37:40There is a lot of pressure to create a vibe and guide a team to victory.
37:45It doesn't feel great, but my leadership could be the weakest link.
37:50I'm confused why you guys felt like you had to push as far as you did.
37:55We decided to create things that are quintessentially us, but we did not keep you in mind.
38:03You know, that's what I'm all about, these big, beautiful, like, all-inspiring moments.
38:07Which I love, but I feel like there is a time and a place.
38:10When I saw your look walk out, I was just like, the cervix is dilated and she's crowning.
38:18That is exactly what it is.
38:20That's what it is.
38:21It's true.
38:22I have a bottle opener at home that looks just like it for my beer.
38:26Let's see the back, please.
38:28No.
38:29That's bad, too?
38:30No.
38:32I think you let the drag persona take over this week.
38:37And I think you should have held her back because this is too over the top.
38:41It doesn't make sense.
38:42It's not beautiful.
38:43It's not flattering.
38:44I am actually really disappointed in you.
38:47I'm in shock, actually, that it's you.
38:50It's difficult being up here, being knocked down by the judges and my team.
38:56It does not feel good.
38:58I am really pissed off about this collection.
39:01I did not come to work and get this beautiful glam to look at a bunch of ugly clothes.
39:06I'm sorry.
39:07I am pissed off.
39:08I'm mad.
39:12Sorry.
39:13Okay.
39:14Utica.
39:15Joan.
39:16Mm-hmm.
39:17Angelo.
39:18We have to discuss what we've heard.
39:20And sadly, one of you will be out.
39:22You can leave the runway.
39:25Gee.
39:26That's terrible.
39:28And it really pissed me off.
39:29It's like a Project Runway denim costume party.
39:32Yes.
39:33You know, it doesn't feel good being on the bottom because it wasn't me designing truly
39:40from who I am and my design aesthetic and now being, you know, criticized for that.
39:45They thought it was the ugliest thing they've ever seen in their lives, but it's okay.
39:50What I don't like is that Ethan thought too much about himself.
39:53Yeah, exactly.
39:54Yeah.
39:55Because our eyes popped out of our heads when we saw Utica standing next to this look.
40:00I'm sorry.
40:01Ethan should have been here and not Utica tonight, babe.
40:03Right.
40:04I thought Angelo was the worst, to be quite honest.
40:05There was no real construction.
40:07He made a great jacket because he makes menswear, but the jacket was just okay.
40:13He plays safety, so he didn't make it as crazy, and that's why we were more drawn to say this one is better.
40:19But it wasn't better.
40:20Better.
40:21It wasn't better.
40:22He's been here before, so we have to take that into account.
40:25I'm on the bottom again.
40:26It sucks because I didn't get a chance yet to really go full force and show my best ability.
40:33I'm not ready to go home.
40:35What about Joan?
40:36Joan, that dress.
40:38The less offensive.
40:39The less offensive out of the three.
40:41But no one would really wear that outfit.
40:43I am feeling very frustrated.
40:46My hands were tied.
40:47This is not what I wanted to do.
40:50I have so much more to show.
40:52I am not ready to go home.
40:54I'm just getting warmed up.
40:55For me, it boils down to, do we send home the person that took leadership in the bag collection?
41:04And made the worst look?
41:05Or send home the person that had the least amount of point of view and sewing talent.
41:13If we didn't know who did this and the designer was not standing next to the look, who would go?
41:19I think they can all go.
41:22Same.
41:23This would be a first for Project Runway, but maybe it's time we do it.
41:28Next time on Project Runway from Abbott Elementary, Chris Perfetti and Lisa Ann Walter.
41:35This is the unconventional materials challenge.
41:38A fight's breaking out.
41:39Fight!
41:40Fight!
41:41Fight!
41:42Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing?
41:43Okay, she's Barbie with the pink bitch done.
41:45I told you they're working together again.
41:47It's annoying.
41:48Oh my God.
41:49Popsicle dress?
41:50Oh, it's something.
41:52I mean, the whole booty is out.
41:55It just looks so sad.
41:57It looks like dead vegetation.
41:59This is so up.
