00:00Hello and welcome to this Jane's Weather Update.

00:03This is for Queensland, updated on Friday, where we have a big weather system brewing over the state.

00:09There's some big falls in this one.

00:11We had all of that tropical moisture across the country.

00:14Now the cloud is here and we're seeing it run into low pressure and really deliver with that rain.

00:19Friday and Saturday is where we're going to see the most of that one.

00:22In the southwest, another feed of tropical moisture coming in, running into a cold front.

00:26That's going to move across the southeast in a much less way as we move through the early part of next week.

00:31Otherwise, high pressure over the southeast, keeping it dry across the weekend into early next week.

00:37Let's have a look day by day.

00:38So we're starting on Friday.

00:39Here are our falls today, mainly an inland thing.

00:42So we're looking at 25 to 50 as some of the higher totals in through here, 15 to 25.

00:47So a larger area of Queensland, not up in the north, but central and southern parts and into northern New South Wales.

00:54We're picking up these falls too.

00:56Just starting over in the west, really brewing there on Saturday.

00:59But here are the big deal for Saturday.

01:01I'm going to zoom in so we can have a good look at this one here.

01:04So the falls that are going to be the biggest, Gladstone, Capone.

01:08So this sort of area is what we're looking at.

01:10We've got low pressure developing off the coast there.

01:12There's heaps of moisture to play with, but it may extend all the way into Emerald and beyond,

01:17maybe even almost to Longreach.

01:19So this is the area of concern or heavier falls as we go through the day on Saturday.

01:24But let's now move in.

01:26There's just this coastal activity in through here.

01:28It's not really reaching Brisbane.

01:30That's during the day on Saturday.

01:31Have a look at Sunday.

01:32It's already cleared out.

01:33So this system moves through pretty quickly.

01:35It's Friday and Saturday that we see most of that.

01:38So let's center that one back up again as we go through Sunday.

01:41This one is coming in cold front here by the end of the day.

01:44High pressure over the southeast.

01:46So we have stream showers for that east coast, New South Wales,

01:49and the southern parts of Queensland.

01:51By the end of Monday, there's the cold front still in southeasterly winds.

01:55So still seeing those showers streaming through.

01:57That crosses through on Tuesday into Wednesday.

02:00We take a bit of a break as the next high pressure system comes in.

02:04So conditions looking quite nice as we go through the middle of next week.

02:08Then that next time moves into here.

02:10So we may get some wet weather back along the coast as the next weather system

02:14starts to cross the south.

02:15All right.

02:16So the totals for that as we move through to the end of next week,

02:19here are the bigger falls.

02:21Now, most of them off the coast, but there is the potential of seeing some

02:24of this right on that coastline.

02:26Even inland 25 to 50 millimeters is shown in yellow there, 15 to 25 anywhere

02:31in the green.

02:32So some nice falls as this comes across.

02:34Big falls in the southwest too, 50 to 75 around Perth as that comes in.

02:38But by the time it reaches the southeast, they're not in the right spot.

02:42It's peaking here.

02:43The moisture is here.

02:44So the southeast isn't seeing quite as much.

02:47Let's unpack all of that for Brisbane.

02:49Remember, it was just out of that main zone and also just inland.

02:53So it's not seeing the full brunt of those stream showers as it comes in.

02:57Today, though, it is gray and there is patchy light rain moving through.

03:01That continues into Saturday.

03:03So Friday and Saturday, gray skies, patchy light rain.

03:06It shouldn't add up to a heap.

03:08Then as we go into Sunday, that's where we start to see the stream showers coming in.

03:12That's mainly for the afternoon here.

03:14So let's unpack that.

03:15We've got the showers mainly around the afternoon.

03:17Still lots of sunshine in there as well.

03:19You know what our stream showers are like.

03:20They just roll through mainly the coast that sees most of that activity.

03:24Heading into Monday, possible showers mainly in the afternoon.

03:27Again, there's not much from these as you head inland.

03:30And then it is fairly dry for the rest of the week.

03:32Again, just those stream showers coming in.

03:34Temperatures around 21.
