00:00Turning to green growth, the competitive advantage of LLDCs in the primary commodity sector
00:10is potentially affected by unilateral and multilateral trade agreements. This makes
00:21it impossible to diversify and increase the added value at origin. Here, organizations such as the
00:29WTO and UNCTAC could collaborate using objective assessments to evaluate LLDCs. Regional interaction
00:41also helps to facilitate transit and trade as well as integrating value chains. LLDCs are
00:51mostly exporting to their own regions. The signing of regional trade agreements would
00:57allow us to bring out the potential of this trade and further cooperation with transit
01:02countries having a positive impact on trade and as such on development. WTO can support
01:11LLDCs with a program of work and the various organs and negotiations it has could help to
01:17identify and implement actions. Furthermore, continuing to make progress towards full implementation
01:24of the WTO trade facilitation agreement, not just by LLDCs, needs to not just be by LLDCs but
01:31also transit countries. We need to see participation of LLDCs in the organs which set international
01:37standards so that problems can be mitigated. Transit countries should focus on harmonizing agreements
01:48and reducing costs. Public and private organizations, regional programs which are specifically designed
01:55can also help to improve facilitation of trade and increase added value. Thank you.
02:01I thank our Excellency the Vice Minister of Economic
02:09Relations and Integrations of Paraguay. Now I give the floor to His Excellency G.D. Joe
02:16Kozak, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czechia. Excellency, you have the floor.
02:22Thank you. Thank you, Mr. Chair. Excellencies, the English delegates, ladies and gentlemen,
02:28it is a great pleasure to join this discussion on how trade and trade.
02:35All right, so it does seem that we abruptly lost that feed. The United Nations discussing some of the
02:43trade challenges of these developing nations. This all comes as President Trump and his administration
02:48continue to try to negotiate and work through more trade deals with several of those countries.
02:55We are taking a live look here at the White House in Washington, D.C., 8.35 in the morning here on the East Coast,
03:005.35 over on the West Coast. We're going to step away for a quick commercial break, but we'll continue
03:05and follow more of your top stories when we come back.
03:18And get started.
07:05asked about Texas lawmakers who have fled their state in an effort to stall Republican-led
07:10redistricting efforts and a new state congressional map there that could add five GOP seats to the
07:16U.S. House. In their absence, that legislation can't move forward, and the president is now
07:21considering requests for federal intervention. Should the FBI get involved? Well, they may have
07:26to. They may have to. No, I know they want him back. Not only the attorney general, the governor
07:31wants him back, if you look. Welcome to Massachusetts. The governor of Massachusetts welcomed some
07:36of those Texas Democrats to her state yesterday, just one of the Democratic strongholds providing
07:42a sanctuary of sorts. If you think that this is wrong, we need people to stand up now. Those
07:47Texas lawmakers are defending their actions, and Democratic governors in states like California
07:52and New York are threatening to change their own maps in response. The president has backed
07:58Texas Republicans. You can't just sit it out. You have to go back. You have to fight it out. That's
08:02what elections are all about. It seems unlikely that the FBI would get involved in this, and even
08:07though there are state arrest warrants, for now, these Democrats remain out of reach. In Washington,
08:14Doug Lucader, Fox News. Thank you to Doug Lucader there for that report. Now, as he did mention,
08:21a lot of other states are kind of looking at their options ahead of these 2026 midterm elections when it
08:26comes to some of these congressional and political maps in their states. And we'll talk more about
08:32what some of these states are doing in just a little bit. But first, staying on the topic of
08:37Texas, just last night, Governor Abbott did join the Will Cain show on the Fox News channel
08:42to discuss all of this.
08:46...in order to block redistricting. This all started because Democrats are looking to defend
08:51current districts like this, Texas 35. That district was ruled unconstitutional, drawn with
08:57discriminatory intent until ultimately deemed allowed by the Supreme Court. With threats against
09:03their cling to power, though, Democrats are screaming all-out war.
09:07This is unconstitutional. This is about standing up for people's voting rights and standing up for
09:13black and brown people who are going to be iced out. Would the state of California move forward
09:18in kind, fighting, yes, fire with fire?
09:22This is not the Democratic Party of your grandfather, which would bring a pencil to the knife fight.
09:28This is a new Democratic Party. We're bringing a knife to a knife fight, and we are going to fight
09:33fire with fire.
09:35That was, among others, Governor Gavin Newsom of California, Governor J.B. Pritzker of Illinois.
09:40But joining me now is Governor Greg Abbott of Texas.
09:43Thank you for being here.
