During a Senate Appropriations markup meeting on Thursday, Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) spoke about bipartisan work on the Senate Appropriations Committee.

00:00I'd now like to recognize Vice Chair Murray for any closing remarks.
00:04Well, thank you, Chair Collins, and thank you to all of our colleagues who worked really hard,
00:08as well as our staffs, to make this market possible.
00:11Once again, as Senator Collins said, we have shown that when we work together in a bipartisan way,
00:16we can write bills that actually invest in our communities, reject damaging cuts from Trump,
00:22and set the country up for success.
00:25We do have more work ahead of us, but as the Chair noted,
00:28it is notable that we have now passed eight of our bills on a bipartisan basis.
00:33That's a clear sign that there is a bipartisan path to fund the government
00:37and to reject painful cuts and chaos.
00:39So I look forward to continuing that process and working in a bipartisan way
00:43to pass our fall year spending bills.
