27:20oh private tour of the wonders of Venice sampling the local tipple I think I might actually die
27:27there's a gondola right you've got what you wanted the gondola right it's a lot
27:32different to our case so then we are looking forward to what Venice has got to
27:36offer and we're just gonna embrace every moment of it aren't we yeah after being in a
27:39caravan this is very different yeah Western super there northern Italy hmm let me see now
27:47it's the first morning of the luxury holiday oh my god I found gondolas
27:52for this part of the week there is no budget to hold them back they're beautiful don't they yeah
28:00they're exploring Venice with a private gondola ride at 250 quid it's one of the
28:07most expensive ways to see the city so don't worry guys I'm not crazy I do this because it's a blank
28:17order the reflection the water on the bridge hmm so do you think he'd ever come back here yeah
28:24definitely yeah I think so definitely definitely amazing on it and Sebastian who took us on the
28:30grondola was amazing we could ask him any questions and he would sort of explain it
28:34but what starts out well this probably is the most beautiful palace in Venice turns wobbly with the
28:42waves it's making me panic every time because it goes the problem is it goes really far didn't it to
28:49one side literally like that takes you to one side as the boat starts to rock it all gets too much for
28:58Kelly get me off get me off oh my god get me off I need to get up there I think when I go to bed
29:06close my eyes I'll probably still be swaying yeah it's Jackie and Martine's turn to decide where to
29:13eat and the two foodies are craving a freshly cooked Italian meal oh no no please God no pubs no listen
29:22you're in Venice on that budget break Kelly tried seafood for the first time with mixed results
29:30I'm gonna be sick now Jackie and Martine have brought them to a Venetian restaurant loaded with
29:38yeah seafood ready to order there's not much here I would like to eat to be honest really yeah quite
29:48Kelly we're not going to eat here are we don't tell me you're going to get a burger please we will
29:52let you know have a wonderful time you guys have even dead cheese oh my god he wants a burger do you
29:59know what I wouldn't put it past them to bring it back here I was not eating anymore yeah I'm not eating
30:04no seafood in a city bursting with culinary excellence the fast food fans only want one thing a burger meal
30:12deal with a side of chicken nuggets oh my god they came back with a bag with trashy fast American food
30:21oh no you've got to you've got to just one at least one and the trashy takeout comes with a side of sweet
30:28revenge these are a local delicacy so you have to try at least one we have the seafood if you spit it out
30:34it's not actually that bad no no Martin I've got some hope for you come on that is vile oh well
30:45I'm actually highly disappointed in the pair of you coming all this way to Italy and then going off
30:52and having a burger it is a shame I mean all we had got them to try was a chicken nugget and you
30:57would have thought that we'd put cat litter in their mouth Jackie and Martin love nothing more
31:05than getting a personalized tour of the city for me that's part of the holiday the cultural side
31:14learning about the place that you're walking around at a cost of 320 pounds it's not an activity Kelly
31:20and Louie would ever spend their hard-earned cash on here you can see enjoy the view of the bridge of
31:27size it's a political overpass it's not a real bridge boring yeah this is the very famous place
31:38where Marco Polo the famous traveler used to live okay just all this area even in Venice's world-renowned
31:46landmark so here we are in San Marco square Kelly and Louie are easily distracted you need to get one of
31:56them hoodies look they've got more there yeah I know and peak ones as well well nice yeah luck of it
32:03venture I suppose whatever you want to call it oh they've disappeared unbelievable this gorgeous
32:13guide of ours was telling them you know about the history of the square and it's it's something
32:18that they'll never possibly never see again look maybe even got gondolas on him Jackie and Martin
32:24continue on their own touch the belly we say rub the belly for some more luck oh it's very smooth
32:32should we go here for Kelly and Louie a much-needed sit-down a soft drink is 16 year old hey so how much
32:40is astonishing and gobsmacked is the words I'm going to use for that disgusting I want a glass of Dom
32:46Perry on that yeah 500 euros the money that you spend on certain things here is like a three four
32:54day holiday for us and that and we have fun yeah to put a smile back on their young friends faces so

33:07I mean she chose the right time to drop it didn't she so yeah it's not true pain when it's me and Kelly

34:21for Kelly we are starting now with a brief introduction during which I will tell you something general it's
34:29perfect for wine connoisseurs Jackie and Martin let's start with the sensory analysis the wine is
34:35completely clear and transparent with no solid molecules in suspension I was bored I was bored
34:42when she started the wine tasting chat so what do you smell grapes that's the basic answer but Kelly
34:53prefers a more practical approach what about the taste test what about the taste it tastes like rust
35:04which kind of fruit can you smell lemon yeah berries grapefruit yeah bits of primrose like it's that sort of
35:15crane for us to a voice our opinion was a bit of a struggle in there it's not nearly as strong the
35:20aroma as those two that's true yeah as wine buffs Jackie and Martin savor the experience no frills Kelly
35:28and Louie check out me and Kelly just felt like yeah you're the poor ones you can be quiet and ask
35:34which ones talk I'm just over doing our own thing I mean it's a bit disconcerting when they were talking
35:41and and the lady was trying to disrespectful I think it's the word you're looking for yeah poor woman
35:47I'm here for the cheese you're either interested in that kind of stuff or you're not and that's it they
35:53were bloody rude for Kelly and Louie the rich activities aren't hitting the right notes can a dip in the
36:01hotel's luxury spa pool helped them relax into the holiday high life look at that view beautiful
36:08that list Louie and Kelly could never afford this luxury but as guests of the hotel it comes as standard
36:15oh this is nice so you mean oh this is the light yes this is the light it was definitely a moment to
36:25treasure yeah never got the chance to do anything like that before and I probably won't get a chance
36:28to do it again coming up the dizzy heights of the rich holiday hang on hang on hang on I really

37:46are old hands but can they inspire their cautious young friends to embrace their sense of adventure
37:51Kelly you sure you don't want to do it yeah a hand injury has put Kelly out of action
38:00I'm fortunate but it happens so Louie steps up for team budget to take on the unforgiving mountain
38:09range attention it's really slippery here yes but things are about to get trickier I thought

38:36I'm nervous nervous yeah as intrepid Jackie's resolve waivers attend air steward Louie's full of

39:22defeated by the drop that was so nerve-wracking I just couldn't do it in the end that waterfall is so
39:30steep but Louie and Martine are still in the game okay are you ready and Louie has stepped up to go
39:40first wow what am I doing don't know if I can actually watch open he's going no he's going
39:51that's unbelievable
39:59I'm proud of it I absolutely loved it and I would do it again and I wanted to do it again there and
40:24then oh here we go go Martin 69 year old Martine doesn't hesitate come on Martine she's definitely done
40:38this before Martin go wow that is amazing incredible I'm so proud of her incredible
40:47it's the final evening of the holiday tonight in true rich holiday style they're dining at the
41:07hotel 70 pounds a head restaurant but how much is the whole holiday coming up well if I want to
41:14look at this no oh my god 8 118 pounds I'll be honest it's not what I would expect for the money
41:31that's been spent that is five months worth of wages to me for this summer an obscene amount of money
41:36for a holiday I must say okay astonishing wasn't it I wouldn't pay that sort of money for a trip like
41:41this with both holidays out of the way it's a chance for the couples to reflect on their experience
41:47so what do you think you guys have learned by going on a budget holiday that you can have fun oh yeah
41:52and you can do things cheaply yeah I'm not 100% with the food yeah okay that's fair enough but Kelly
41:59is a few things to get off her chest I hate that you made me touch seafood how about that oh I hate that
42:06I hate the seafood yeah other stuff be honest the vineyards I didn't know the facts how you were
42:12overpowering Kelly totally get that yeah yeah I mean you probably should have actually just turned
42:18around and said I hate you two shut up I think it's because it's something you guys know a lot about
42:23there's been there's been a lot of things on the trip where you've known more than what we would
42:27I'll be completely honest I wouldn't do a holiday like this again really yeah we would rather stick
42:39to our budget holidays because we come away from that feeling relaxed and happy whereas this one
42:45we're coming away from it needing one of our holidays needing a holiday to go over this one
42:50I mean don't get me wrong I'd like to have a bit more money than what I do but for the things that
42:54we've done on this trip I wouldn't do luxury isn't isn't for me but it's been an incredible
43:00experience it's been an experience cheers check out time for everyone before they part ways the
43:11friends are swapping mementos to remind them of their side of the holiday swap we got these fruit
43:19salad a yeah that's all right very healthy now we got you a little something as well it's heavy oh
43:25thank you that's it bye bye back in the UK they're all reflecting on their two very different holidays
43:41I've had one of the best weeks of my entire life I have not stopped laughing from start to finish
43:49absolutely loved it learned a lot of new things about how the other half live you can make a budget
43:55holiday work with the right people Kelly and Louis they love their budget holidays and quite frankly I
44:02think they're a lot happier than a lot of wealthy people what it turned out to be was an amazing week
44:08with beautiful places and beautiful people friends that are friends for life now and that just shows
44:17you don't need money to have fun next time that is disgusting mate let's get massive absolutely not
44:26I can't believe this I've never seen anything like it I'm getting a right taste for luxury no it's
44:33freaking me out absolutely disgusting possibly going to be the worst holiday I've ever been on
