00:00the Arizona Cardinals, but not as a team.
00:01We want to put that focal point here, Joe Waniere,
00:03on their quarterback itself, which is Kyler Murray.
00:06Now, coming into the NFL, so talented, hard to tackle,
00:10a water bug out there, but it hasn't equated necessarily to wins,
00:14included wins at the biggest times here.
00:16If we take a look at his seasonal statistics this year,
00:19anticipated 3,375.5 passing yards, 20.5 touchdown passes,
00:24475.5 rushing yards, and an MVP price of 50 to 1.
00:28I look at this and say to myself,
00:29that seems like rookie numbers out there
00:32that they're placing on Kyler Murray.
00:35Now, granted, he's been injured in the past,
00:36but if he stays healthy, he should wreck those numbers out here.
00:39So buy or sell to you, Joe Waniere.
00:41This is a make or break season for Kyler Murray.
00:45It absolutely is.
00:47And listen, last year was a season in which
00:50that's kind of what we expected from Kyler Murray
00:53with what they went through
00:54and what they were expecting from him when they drafted him.
00:58He started all 17 games last year.
01:01He posted his best numbers for not only yards,
01:04but touchdown passes since 2021,
01:07which also happens to coincide with being the last time
01:10Arizona made the playoffs.
01:13So without a doubt, Donnie, you're spot on.
01:15Kyler Murray is the engine here
01:17that is going to decide,
01:18what are we going to get?
01:20Jonathan Gannon, much better last year
01:23than his first as the Cardinals coach there.
01:28So when you go from four to eight wins in a year,
01:31that's pretty impressive for a rookie coach.
01:34But I could also make the argument
01:36they did underperform
01:38because they lost a lot of games
01:39they should not have lost last year.
01:42I think the defensive side of the ball
01:44is going to be the biggest question.
01:45If Kyler Murray in a make or break year
01:49can give you at minimum what he gave you last year
01:51or maybe improve on it with, you know,
01:54James Conner there.
01:55And now you've got receivers.
01:57They have a tight end.
01:58They locked in Michael Wilson's there.
02:01You've got a ton of weapons offensively.
02:04It's the defensive side of the ball.
02:06That's going to be the challenge with this team.
02:08Can they stop anybody
02:10with Calias Campbell at 100 years old
02:13returning to the team that drafted him in what, 2005?
02:17So yeah, I expect offensively
02:19for them to be just as good.
02:22My question is still on the defensive side with this team.
