00:03Year number two for Derek Carr in the Big Easy as the starting quarterback for the Saints.

00:09Year number one wasn't necessarily successful offensively, but the pieces remain in NOLA.

00:16Tom, what is your expectation for Carr as the signal caller of the Saints this year?

00:21Yeah, my expectations are pretty modest overall, and frankly, my favorite proffer is going to be under 21.5 passing touchdowns.

00:29You know, we've seen some questionable decision-making and questionable outcomes from Derek Carr,

00:35but it's not just about him, it's about the offense overall.

00:37They have a bottom 10 offensive line, which is never good when we do have a quarterback that does present some inconsistency.

00:43They do have a very favorable strength of schedule, which is obviously pointing in the right direction,

00:47but regardless of the strength of schedule, the offense around him is extremely questionable.

00:52I think maybe one of the weakest in the league.

00:55Chris Alave is awesome. I am extremely high on him long-term, but outside of him, when it comes to the passing,

01:01their backfield with Kamara, Kendrick Miller, Jamal Williams, I think it's fine,

01:05but the receiving option that this is ultimately about, highly questionable.

01:08Rashid Shahid, I think he could have a breakout year, but after him, A.T. Perry, Juwan Johnson,

01:13Kaysom Hill, and Foster Moreau, we're not dealing with an amazing receiving core outside of Alave,

01:19so if the opposing defense can shut down Alave, what's the passing expectation going to look like for Derek Carr?

01:25That just leads me to under 21 and a half passing touchdowns.

01:28I think Alave can be great on a week-to-week basis.

01:31I will certainly be interested in his touchdown props, but I don't expect Carr to have a massive year.
