00:00Meet Lila, the 13-year-old French Bulldog still searching for her forever home.

00:05Every Wednesday we take the time to put a spotlight on an animal who needs your help.

00:09These animals are from the Animals in Distress Centre in Devon,

00:12all of them beautiful creatures who need a family to make them feel loved and secure.

00:16Lila is a very playful dog and loves daily walks,

00:19however she has some health conditions such as arthritis in her spine.

00:23This means mindful exercise is a necessity and her family must be careful not to overdo it.

00:29Lila has a distinctive preference for humans over dogs,

00:32though she would thrive best as the only pet in her house.

00:35Her ideal family would include children of 10 years or older to match her playful yet gentle spirit.

00:41As of many of these rescue dogs, time is of the essence and with Lila it's no different.
