00:09It's easy to speak. Don't judge the people before you know the story.

00:19Being hearing impaired hasn't stopped Muhammad Farid Muhammad Mustafa from brewing coffee.

00:26His humble stall, Silent Brew, is where you'll find a strong, satisfying cup of joe.

00:33From long black to cappuccino, santan latte, cinnamon latte and many more.

00:50When he was 10 years old, Farid and his father were on a motorcycle

00:54when they hit a prothole and fell.

00:57After the incident, Farid gradually lost his sense of hearing.

01:02Although a cochlear implant has improved his hearing,

01:05it still takes him some time to adjust to unfamiliar voices.

01:09He says that some customers, who are unaware of his hearing impairment, occasionally get frustrated.

01:16There are other challenges he faces. For instance, unloading heavy equipment like the espresso machine,

01:23coffee grinder, generator and ice box from his car each time he sets up the stall.

01:29It's a task that sometimes leaves him with back pain.

01:32But Farid takes it all in stride.

01:39Silent Brew was started upon his wife's encouragement,

01:45and following the decision to close the cafe, they operated together.

01:50Despite the challenges he faces, Farid remains motivated by his son's belief

01:55that they'll one day have a shop again.

02:16Farid is also encouraged by the positive feedback from customers

02:19and their unexpected acts of kindness when they intentionally pay more for the coffee they buy.

02:26In the future, Farid hopes to open a shop in an area where there are more coffee enthusiasts.

02:31Until then, he'll keep brewing and moving forward, one cup at a time.

02:36I want to ask the people to understand the groups of this world

02:40and to give the opportunity through the potential they have.
