00:00No matter from what angle you view this story, the victim of this crime was only 14 years
00:10old. Yet we've heard how one of the defendants in the dock of the Old Bailey smiled as he
00:17was sent down. The murder is just another example of totally pointless and extreme violence
00:25in London involving very young people. Both defendants who cannot be named for legal reasons
00:33were 16 years old. Outside court, Kellyanne's mother, Mary Bokassa, issued a call for action
00:41to end the bloodshed. In a statement read on her behalf, she asked how many mothers it would take
00:49and how many children would need to be buried before the government took urgent action.
00:58We understand Kellyanne had boarded the 472 bus just after 2pm to attend an appointment at the
01:07Youth Justice Centre in Woolwich. CCTV showed Kellyanne on the back seat of the top deck with a knife in
01:15the waistband of his trousers. The defendants boarded the bus 20 minutes later, each armed
01:24with identical machetes hidden in their clothes. The pair walked towards Kellyanne with purpose
01:32and withdrew their blades before immediately stabbing him without uttering a word to their victim.
