00:25Tenemos un gran relación
00:28sobre los años,
00:29pero ha sido una gran transacción,
00:32muy unfair para los Estados Unidos.

00:55La White House ha sido
00:56una buena ballroom
00:57por 150 años,
00:59pero no había una real
01:00estate person.
01:01No, no presidente
01:02knew how to build a ballroom.
01:04Pero esto se ha creado
01:05un poco tiempo,
01:06y ha sido un gran esfuerzo.
01:08Y ha sido un gran esfuerzo.
01:09Y creo que,
01:10lo que yo decía,
01:11podría tomar esta una,
01:12dropa ahí,
01:13y esto es exactamente
01:15lo que ellos quieren.
01:16Pero es un honor
01:17para que te haya
01:17a la nueva ballroom
01:19en Turnberry.
01:19Gracias.
01:20Y muchas gracias.
01:21Gracias.
01:22Gracias.
01:23Muchas gracias, Presidente.
01:24Gracias.
02:37a deal with China, but we'll see how that goes.
02:40And we have numerous other deals.
02:42And mostly, I'm just going to charge tariffs.
02:45You know, it's not a deal per se,
02:46but people are going to pay tariffs.
02:48And we're doing them at the low end, not the high end,
02:50because we don't want to hurt anybody.
02:52And it's pretty well.
02:54But you and I both think that this is really
02:58the biggest trading partnership in the world,
03:01so we should give it a shot. Right?
03:02The Pressel- Yeah, I'm looking forward to that.
03:05The President- Thank you very much.
03:06The Pressel- Thank you.
03:07Any questions, please?
03:09The Pressel- Well, on Friday, you put the chances of a deal
03:11at 50%, maybe less.
03:13It seems like you're in quite a good mood.
03:14How would you rate those chances now?
03:17I'm actually not in a good mood, but I will tell you.
03:21I think the chances are, yeah, I think, Ursula would say,
03:26probably 50-50 of making a deal.
03:28I hope, you know, I'd like to make a deal.
03:30I think it's good for both, but yeah, I'd say 50-50.
03:33And what would you say the main sticking points are
03:35at this moment?
03:36The Pressel- We have three or four sticking points.
03:38I'd rather not get in.
03:39We'll be discussing them.
03:40But I think the main sticking point is fairness.
03:43The Pressel- Can I ask why you're in a bad mood?
03:47Was it a bad morning of golf or why you're not in a good mood?
03:49The Pressel- No, the golf was beautiful.
03:54Golf can never be bad.
03:55Even if you play badly, it's still good.
03:58If you had a bad day on the golf course, it's okay.
04:02It's better than other days.
04:04But, no, I think I look forward to this meeting.
04:08You know, we've had a hard time with trade with Europe.
04:13Very hard time.
04:14And I'd like to see it resolved.
04:18But if it isn't, we'll, you know, have tariffs.
04:21They'll do what they have to do.
04:22But we have a good chance of getting it resolved.
04:24We'll probably know in about an hour.
04:27Shouldn't take that long.
04:28The Pressel- What about the August-
04:29The Pressel- You know, it's complicated,
04:30but not really complicated when you get right down to it, right?
04:32The Pressel- What about the August 1st deadline?
04:34Is there any chance that that gets moved?
04:36The Pressel- No, no.
04:37The August 1st is there for everyone.
04:40The deals all start on August 1st.
04:42Most of the deals, other than steel and aluminum,
04:45which we've been getting 50 percent tariffs from,
04:49I guess just about everybody, and those have come in.
04:52And we've taken in, you know, hundreds of billions of dollars
04:55just on steel and aluminum.
04:57You've seen the numbers.
04:59We had a tremendous amount of money come in over the last month,
05:03and it's coming in, you know, very rapidly, which is fair.
05:07We have a lot of steel mills and plants,
05:09aluminum mills and plants being built.
05:12We have a lot of AI being built,
05:13and we have a lot of auto plants being built
05:15or going to be built because they don't want to pay tariffs.
05:18So, you know, if they don't want to pay tariffs,
05:21the best way to do it is just build your plant in the United States.
05:25Yes.
05:25It's a huge deal.
05:27It will bring stability.
05:29It will bring predictability.
05:31That's very important for our businesses on both sides of the Atlantic.
05:36It's 15 percent tariffs across the board, all inclusive.
05:41The investments, as the President just described,
05:45that are going to go to the United States and the purchases over there.
05:49Indeed, basically, the European market is open.
05:53It's 450 million people.
05:56So, it's a good deal.
05:58It's a huge deal.
06:00It was tough negotiations.
06:02I knew it at the beginning, and it was indeed very tough,
06:05but we came to a good conclusion from both sides.
06:09So, again, congratulations and many thanks.
06:11Thank you so much for your time.
06:12Thank you.
06:14Thank you.
06:14Thank you.
06:15Thank you.
06:15Thank you.
06:15Thank you so much.
06:16Thank you.
06:17Thank you.
