'It Is A Direct Attack On Women And It's Just The Start': Landsman Slams GOP's Big Beautiful Bill

During remarks on the House floor on Tuesday, Rep. Greg Landsman (D-OH) spoke about the Republicans' budget bill.

00:03Thank you, Madam Speaker.

00:05I rise today on behalf of the girls and women in my district

00:08who just lost access to their health care because of this budget bill.

00:14Just weeks after this bill passed,

00:17two Planned Parenthood clinics in southwest Ohio are closing.

00:21Clinics thousands of girls and women rely on for things like cancer screenings

00:27and contraceptive care, their basic health care.

00:30It is a direct tack on women, and it's just the start.

00:35Millions and millions of Americans will lose their health care.

00:38In the end, more than 15 million people could be left without care,

00:42all to pay for tax cuts for millionaires, billionaires, and big corporations.

00:47All it takes is a Congress that's willing to make the wealthiest in America,

00:52pay their taxes like the rest of us,

00:54and give that 17 million Americans, or 15, their health care back.
