Transcript
00:00Oh
00:23For a piece good morning like this feel I'm recording a missing person
00:27It's my ex-boy-in-law and she left Saturday evening about 9 30 10 o'clock
00:35She went over to mobile to visit somebody and she wasn't back yesterday
00:40I've called about eight or ten times
00:43The phone's going to voicemail
00:46What's her name?
00:48It's Tammy Wedgworth
00:50What is she driving?
00:52It's a 2004 F-154 to pick up
00:57I have her two children with me
01:00So she left the kids?
01:02Yeah, this is not like her
01:04I will get an officer out of the seat to you
01:09Fairhope police want to know if you've seen this woman
01:11Tammy Wedgworth hasn't been seen since Saturday night
01:14When she left her house in Fairhope headed to Mobile
01:17The 44 year old was driving a white F-150
01:21If you know where she is, you're asked to call police in Fairhope
01:29Five days into the search
01:31Fairhope police find Tammy's truck
01:34Outside a house in Mobile
01:36But the question remains
01:38Where is Tammy Wedgworth?
01:48For homicide detectives
01:50Their chance of solving a murder is cut in half
01:53If they don't get a lead within the first 48 hours
01:57The missing person from Fairhope
02:08She's been missing now for five days
02:15As soon as she was reported missing
02:17Fairhope PD did the basics in a missing person investigation
02:21They went and got her cell phone history
02:23It showed the phone died in Mobile
02:26And so once they had that
02:28They felt this was definitely something that Mobile police needed to investigate
02:32It then falls on my shoulders
02:35We're still hoping for the best
02:37But we need to treat this as a possible homicide at this point
02:46Fairhope investigator Joshua Cryer
02:48And Sergeant David Hall
02:50Will hand the case over to Barton
02:52We hate that we brought this one across the bay to you
02:56Tammy Wedgworth
02:58She was reported on Monday
02:5944 year old Tammy Battaglia Wedgworth
03:05Is a single mother of three sons
03:07Two under the age of 13
03:09For the last year
03:12She found work cleaning houses to make ends meet
03:15On Monday, you know, I talked to the father-in-law
03:20He's like, this is out of character
03:23You know, she goes and sees friends
03:25She does go on dates
03:26But she always returns
03:29Right
03:30That night early the next morning
03:31He said, now I can't even reach her
03:32The phone just goes straight to voicemail
03:34Friends saying, hey, this is out of character
03:36If she was going to be one minute late
03:37She would call
03:38This, this is not right
03:40She has no criminal history
03:41No drug use
03:43No mental health aspects to her life
03:45That seem out of place
03:47Then they send me the cryptic sounding Facebook post
03:53Just six hours after Tammy left home
03:56A message was posted on her Facebook page
03:58Her mom screenshotted it and sent it
04:02Like that doesn't seem like something that she would do
04:05Yeah
04:06The post on Facebook was 3.28 in the morning
04:09Investigator Cryer reached out to Miss Tammy's bank
04:14The card had been utilized twice over in Mobile
04:18Here's a copy of the receipt
04:20Her card was used at a sex shop in Mobile
04:24The day after she went missing
04:26And then this is the copy of the video from N.T. Lingerie
04:30Okay
04:31The outside cameras showed Miss Tammy's vehicle pull up
04:37X in the vehicles a male and a female
04:42This female here does not appear to be Tammy
04:47The couple tries to use Tammy's credit card
04:52But the clerk asks for ID
04:54You'll be able to see and retrieve the ID
04:58You can tell he's digging for something
05:02And then he comes in and he hands her the card
05:07Your identification of these two people
05:11Using still images from the sex shop video
05:14Cryer compared the couple's faces to mug shots
05:17From an Alabama statewide database
05:19I sat there with them and they started running mug shots
05:22Through the system
05:23They first got us Amanda Miller's
05:26Amanda Miller profile
05:2935 year old Amanda Miller
05:31Has a prior conviction for theft of property
05:33They started going through her Facebook account
05:36And found the picture of them together
05:38And found the picture of them together
05:39With him wearing that same hat
05:41Scanning through his Facebook account
05:44And actually found his mother's post
05:47Who referred to him as Kenneth
05:5035 year old Kenneth Colbert
05:5235 year old Kenneth Colbert
05:54Has prior convictions for assault
05:56Theft of property
05:57And manufacturer of a controlled substance
05:59We was able to then identify
06:03Kenneth's residence in Mobile area
06:08Once we got to the location
06:10Positively identify Miss Tammy's vehicle
06:12Being parked in the driveway of that residence
06:15way of that residence we made contact amanda and kenneth were taken into custody and brought to
06:22mobile homicide i think we need to get detective johnson do the search warrant on the residence in
06:29the truck from where we got kenny and amanda so the idea now is to basically figure out how these
06:37two are involved did they just happen upon the credit card the truck did somebody give it to
06:43them are they the actual people that know where tammy is we got to get to the bottom of it
06:48to kind of go into it easy and confront her on the how are you using this person's card
06:54detective barton and fairhope sergeant hall will interview amanda first man if you want to just
07:02start it okay yeah
07:03hey miss miller how you doing you had to guess about why i'd be over here to talk to you
07:15what do you think it might would be i have no idea i'm guessing it's something to do with kenny
07:21okay and what what is kenny in relationship to you um i guess you'd call him my boyfriend
07:29okay for how long about a month
07:31have y'all been going to the stores or anything of that nature in the last several days
07:37okay which which vehicle was he drive well i got 150
07:43um kenny said he had purchased it from somebody he went out one night and come back and i woke up
07:53the next morning you remember what night it was he went out it's around new year's she says kenny
08:02got the truck the day after new year's do you remember going to a place nt lingerie yes sir you
08:10did what did you buy there um it doesn't matter we're grown listening that's safe story okay all
08:18right and and did did you buy it or did kenneth buy it i did okay how did you purchase that um with the
08:25credit card the one kenneth had gave me all right so obviously after y'all left that sex shop you knew
08:35without a shadow of a doubt that you had just got finished using another female's car and stuff
08:42yeah did y'all have a conversation about that i mean i asked him where he got it from he said he
08:50found a wallet and what about you have you ever been in jail yeah i just got out a couple months ago
08:58at metro for a debt to property third i found a phone in the bathroom and i transferred some money
09:05from the woman's account on her phone you got kids i have four you have crusty apple i'm sorry i was
09:13supposed to be five years ago get to talk to them yeah but my three older ones told me that um
09:21they didn't want to talk to me right now and they retired me breaking promises and not seeing them
09:26like i was supposed to do you seem like a nice person you seem like you just had a couple rough
09:34years and you've kind of done what you needed to survive yes sir and i and i understand that and i'm
09:40empathetic towards that okay oh but this is a lot bigger than a truck and a credit card and i think you
09:48know that i think deep down maybe you've gotten some idea this is something different so you need to be
09:55honest with me right now we need to know if you at any point for any reason met this woman that you have
10:06the idea
10:20no sir i never met her
10:26what has he told you about that woman i mean i've heard him talking to other people about a woman
10:33and beat the woman up and took the truck
10:39okay the actual moment that you heard him starting to talk about this you need to paint the picture for
10:47me it was a couple days later okay right house she says they were hanging out with one of kenny's friends
10:55when kenny started talking well what did you hear him saying um he said he um he said he beat the woman up
11:03pretty bad bloody he left her side of the road and took her truck
11:09does he say the woman's name no sir
11:18and knowing all that from the jump you amanda are what cool with him just beating a woman up and then
11:28scared scared scared okay i understand because he put his hand on me before choking because that's what
11:36he got me the other day
11:41who else knows
11:44i know he talked to his mama and his stepdad
11:46all right man you're just gonna have to sit tight with us we're gonna talk to all these people
12:03better than i could hope for
12:04i think we need to all go out there and interview everybody that we can detectives decide to hold
12:20kenny while they look for the other witnesses i want the parents sure and you probably need to find
12:27they look up kenny's friend
12:33chickasaw has got me and find his last known address you around me yeah the team heads out to kenny's
12:44parents house
12:49man are they doing the search warrant already yeah perfect
12:52i know you probably got a lot of questions and uh hopefully i can answer some of these
13:23for you let's start with why we're here yeah we're here because of the truck that's parked right
13:29there okay okay so what do you know about that truck i was under the assumption that kenny's
13:37pigs growing that helped me with the truck we know that your son used the owner of that truck's
13:44credit card without their permission in several places in mobile this is video footage of him using the
13:51the owner of that truck the owner of that truck is missing
14:19dogs my husband they have bond that's daim there's been more of a daddy daim in the
14:28last three years than any man that i've been with since the dad died go talk to him
14:34Why don't we do that inside?
14:35It's warmer.
14:36Just follow me.
14:43Where's her husband?
14:45Are you in this back room?
14:49So here's what's going on, all right?
14:51Obviously, we're here for a reason.
14:57I'm asking you to specifically tell me what Kenny told you
15:01regarding how he got that truck.
15:03I need you to tell me the truth.
15:33I'm like, do what?
15:42I killed somebody.
15:43I don't see me wrong.
15:44I don't know.
15:45I don't know.
15:45I don't know.
15:46I don't know.
15:50If I read this, he was just trying to boast something,
15:53and I thought that was going to impress somebody from me.
15:55Yeah.
15:56Um, so I didn't take that much of his time.
16:01When they come back in the end,
16:03talking about it like it was nothing, you know?
16:06I said, Ken, how did you do something to kill?
16:10And, um, he said, some woman.
16:14I'm really going to doubt what he's telling me then.
16:18I said, how long do you know?
16:19He said, about a while.
16:21And I looked at him like he was crazy.
16:23You know, like he grew a third eye.
16:25He never said no name.
16:29Did he say how he did it?
16:31He said he saw it.
16:35Did he ever mention beating her up?
16:38No.
16:38No, he never said no more.
16:41Here's the thing, OK?
16:42The reason we're here is because, at this point,
16:48it's not just something that he said.
16:51Oh, my God.
16:54Did he say where he was with her?
16:58I think that they were all over.
17:01He says Kenny told him he met the victim at his friend's house,
17:05the same friend detectives have identified.
17:08All right.
17:09He confessed that the daddy killed her.
17:20Time frame matches perfectly.
17:22We got to re-interview that now.
17:25We got some pretty good stuff here at the search warrant.
17:29And we found the victim's purse and some cell phones.
17:35One of the cell phones might be the victim's phone.
17:38On the back seat of the vehicle, we did a test for blood,
17:43positive test.
17:47So definitely the next, yeah, yeah, stop.
17:52Detectives will now turn to Kenny's friend.
17:56Hopefully he will give us something good.
18:05We're knocking it down.
18:07Yeah, it's coming, that's it.
18:11Well, what do we do about finding this body?
18:13We'll figure that out.
18:15The only odd thing is that the stepdad's
18:17saying he confessed to shooting her.
18:19Unless Amanda's just lying.
18:24Here?
18:25She's going to be right.
18:26Here.
18:26Right there.
18:27She's going to be right here.
18:35Mobile police.
18:36What's up, man?
18:37Hey, how you doing?
18:38Is here?
18:39Oh, is not here.
18:42That's because he has been staying here.
18:46All right, I'm going to write down my number.
18:49Tell him to give me a call, because it is important
18:51to talk to him.
18:53All right?
18:54Appreciate it.
19:01Eight hours in.
19:03I think I need some more information.
19:05Before I talk to you, Kenny, I need to know
19:07where her body is.
19:09We need to get the truth from Amanda.
19:12If we can interview her.
19:17Detectives Nick Cropot and Jermaine Rogers
19:19will see if Amanda knows what happened to Tammy.
19:22All right, so we work with the other two detectives, OK?
19:27We've been out talking to several other people,
19:29and some of the things that we've learned
19:32that gives us the feeling that you're not
19:33being completely truthful.
19:36So spill whatever you haven't spilled, and do it now.
19:43I was not with Kenny the night.
19:46I stayed at his parents' and slept.
19:50He got back early in the morning.
19:52When he got back, he come inside and got me.
19:57And he had squirted water hose in the truck.
20:02Right inside of the truck, there was a lot of blood
20:05inside the truck.
20:08Front seat, back seat?
20:10It's the whole front of the truck.
20:11There's blood everywhere.
20:15I asked him what had happened, and he told me
20:18that he had shot a woman to get the truck.
20:24Was her body in the truck?
20:26Yes, sir.
20:30So then what happened?
20:32He went inside and got a towel and started driving
20:36inside the truck out.
20:38Did you help him?
20:41No, sir.
20:41He went inside and took his clothes off, changed his clothes,
20:46come back out, and put everything in the fire barrel.
20:49A towel on his clothes.
20:50Mm-hmm.
20:51And burned everything.
20:54Did he tell you where the body was?
20:56No, sir.
20:57Did he have a gun?
20:59When he come back, yeah, he had had a gun.
21:03Handgun?
21:03Yes, sir.
21:04What did he do with it?
21:06He took it, and he was going to try to burn it.
21:11I told him I can't burn a gun.
21:14So, um, the next day, he threw it out the window.
21:19I'm saying the red moon was going down the building
21:21right there.
21:24I'm not sure if I'm believing you.
21:27I'm being truthful.
21:30I'd like to believe that you are,
21:32but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
21:35And you've held on to this knowledge for days,
21:38and spent a dead woman's money, and riding around
21:42in a dead woman's truck.
21:46We're going to need you to lead us to where
21:48the gun was tossed.
21:49So do not waste our time.
21:52If that gun was not thrown out the window,
21:54do not waste our time.
21:55Is it somewhere else?
21:57Uh, yes, sir.
21:58OK.
21:59See, and that's the problem, Amanda.
22:02I'm not trying to get anybody else involved with this.
22:04That's the problem, and you know what?
22:06What am I going to not believe from here on out?
22:11I told you it's someone white boy.
22:13I don't know your name.
22:17I have a hard time believing you don't
22:19know where the body is.
22:26There's a female that's dead because of your boyfriend,
22:30right?
22:32Do you know this girl had kids?
22:34I don't know.
22:35I don't even know how to be scared.
22:38She does have kids.
22:41They ain't heard from their mama in about six days.
22:47Think about her, kid.
22:50You can't do anything for the latest kids.
22:52Then we show her what her body is.
23:04What do you say to her?
23:06What do you say to her other?
23:08What do you say to her other?
23:09What do you say to her other?
23:10What's the best?
23:12Oh.
23:13If I knew where she was, I would tell y'all.
23:15I'm wrong.
23:17I'm wrong.
23:23See you right now.
23:25All right.
23:27Point tight a second.
23:32When I said that I had empathy for her, I really meant that.
23:36You know, I really understand that she was probably dealt a really crappy hand of cards.
23:42And she's just been making decisions and choices that have continued to just put her in situations now
23:49where she's talking to detectives investigating someone's murder.
23:53She's telling us that Kenny's been physical with her.
23:57Kenny admitted to violently killing a woman for the woman's truck.
24:01So now she's thinking, am I going to be the next victim, you know, if I go and tell the police about this?
24:07So there's a lot of fear.
24:09I don't necessarily think that she's malicious or she doesn't care.
24:15I think she's kind of a victim of her surroundings.
24:22Nine hours in, Kenny's friend comes forward.
24:33All right, my name is Nick.
24:35All right, this is Jermaine, okay?
24:39I'm sure you probably have an understanding of why you're here.
24:43What do you want to say about why you're here?
24:45I mean, I was, my mother, my homeboy stole that girl's truck.
24:54Okay.
24:55Who's your homeboy?
24:56Kenny, Holden.
24:58Okay.
25:00So what do you mean as far as he stole this woman's truck?
25:04Well, he told me he took her truck.
25:09What's this woman's name?
25:11He says he and Tammy started chatting online.
25:23How long was that going on with this Tammy woman?
25:26Probably about two weeks.
25:29She actually just hit me up.
25:30Then she was like, I can get away.
25:33I'm coming out to her.
25:34Okay.
25:35So she comes to your house?
25:37Yes.
25:38Who all's there?
25:39So she comes over, and then what?
25:47She come over, and we sat down with my house for a second.
25:50And I just, I mean, I wasn't feeling it.
25:53Like I was on the phone, went out the back of the room, went over to the neighbors.
25:57She just wasn't, she wasn't like the pictures.
26:01Like, she kept kissing me, but how I felt, she's missing me.
26:06And I didn't answer her back, because I really didn't want to be mean to her.
26:11But I never said nothing back to her for a while, and she finally missed me, so I'm just going to leave.
26:16Mm-hmm.
26:17So I messaged my cousin.
26:20And so I told her when she's gone, I'll walk back over.
26:23Did he do that?
26:24Yeah.
26:24He let me know when she left.
26:25But when she left, I didn't know Kenny was going with her.
26:31So he apparently left with the Tammy chick?
26:34Yeah.
26:35Okay.
26:35And then what?
26:37I went to sleep.
26:39Have you tried to hit her up on Facebook since?
26:42No, I messaged her and apologized.
26:45Did you get a response?
26:46No.
26:46I thought, f***, she was mad.
26:50Okay.
26:51Then when was the next time you saw Kenny or heard from him?
26:54The next day.
26:56Then he called me and said, don't be mad at me, bro.
27:00And I stole that girl's truck.
27:03I said, I don't give a f***.
27:06Did you know what vehicle he was talking about?
27:08No.
27:10I noticed she pulled up in a white truck.
27:12I don't know for a fact he's doing nothing.
27:16What I feel like he's doing was to be the bitch all.
27:21Why do you feel that way?
27:23Because he puts his thing as a woman.
27:28If he told you where her body is, you need to tell us.
27:34He did not tell me that.
27:39Hang tight, man.
27:42When you don't have a body, it's hard to charge somebody with something.
27:54In my gut, Kenny's the only one on the face of this earth that will be able to tell us where Tammy Wedgworth is.
28:01I have to really impress upon him that he is the one in control.
28:09Hey, man.
28:14I apologize.
28:15I know you've been in here for a little bit.
28:18It's good.
28:19I want to ask you some questions.
28:20Yes, sir.
28:22I have problems helping them get to do.
28:23The problem is that truck.
28:25Cool.
28:27And what are we talking about?
28:28What kind of truck is it?
28:29It's a, I want to say it's like a 05, 06, a Ford F-150.
28:34Gotcha.
28:36Ford F-150.
28:38And you were saying something a second ago.
28:41You would tell us about the man you got the truck from.
28:44So run me down how you got the truck.
28:47What'd you do?
28:48I went to the gas station.
28:50I'm like, come back.
28:50Hey, come back.
28:51You said, no.
28:52Would that come up?
28:54Hey, look, I got a Ford around the block.
28:56I need you to do something.
28:57He claims a friend wanted him to repair Tammy's truck.
29:02So anybody's truck running around, there's information in the truck.
29:08And it has nothing to do with them.
29:10What do you mean information?
29:12Like mail.
29:13Okay.
29:13There's mail in the truck.
29:14And it has nothing to do with him.
29:16Do you know who his name was on that?
29:18It was Tommy or Tammy or something.
29:21Oh, okay.
29:22So like a female or something?
29:23Female.
29:23We've got to now come to an understanding.
29:29All right.
29:30We've talked to Amanda.
29:32Okay.
29:33We've talked to your stepdad.
29:36You understand?
29:37We figured out the time frame of how that truck got to your mom's trailer.
29:45That truck was owned by a woman named Tammy, and you met her the night of January 1st.
29:53You were with Amanda while you were using the credit card.
29:57Is that true?
30:00You can sit there, and you can deny it.
30:03But the situation is way bigger.
30:07What I'm trying to get you to understand is it's not about the truck.
30:11It's not about the car.
30:12It's about the woman that is missing.
30:14I don't even know what happened, okay?
30:37All I know is that the owner of that truck, a woman, met you, and you've got to help us understand the rest.
30:48All you got me on is I got to stole a vehicle.
30:51That's all I've done.
30:54The woman is missing, and we have to find her.
30:59We have to be able to give her family some understanding and closure, man.
31:07I just want to know where Tammy is.
31:09Yeah, I know.
31:10That's her name.
31:11Tammy is.
31:12That's her name.
31:13She had a family.
31:16She has children.
31:18I can't explain to you, sir.
31:20What happened?
31:20I don't know.
31:21But I'm telling you, I'm not about to say, yeah, I killed her.
31:24But you do remember that?
31:25I don't remember doing that.
31:26Amanda said, you came back with that truck, okay?
31:33And there was blood inside that truck.
31:36She asked what you did.
31:38You said, I shot her.
31:41But I don't know if you believe in something after this life.
31:45I don't know if you believe in being accountable to something greater, all right?
31:51But I can offer you this.
31:53No matter how bad you think you are, no matter what you've done, all right, I believe truly
32:01that there's something even greater that can forgive even the worst of what we've done.
32:09I do believe in redemption.
32:11The evidence isn't going to change.
32:17All the people that you talk to, their stories, they're not going to change.
32:22Kenneth, it's not about convicting you.
32:27It's about the woman.
32:29You have an opportunity to take back the power and at least help me find this woman.
32:37Do you remember maybe sending a message on Facebook or something?
32:50You know, not your Facebook, a different person's Facebook.
32:53Remember that?
32:56No.
32:56We will find her.
33:02You let me kiss my mama goodbye.
33:05You kiss my two ladies goodbye.
33:06I'll show you how the exact where she's at.
33:10Are you serious?
33:12You let me kiss him goodbye.
33:14I'm holding him by.
33:16Okay.
33:17Give me one second.
33:22I don't know how that just happened.
33:23Dude, I don't even know.
33:28We got to get these two women.
33:30He said he wants to kiss them first.
33:38Here's what I'm going to do.
33:39You take me to where you're at in your head right now.
33:42And you'll be able to have as long as the goodbyes you want with those two girls.
33:47Okay.
33:48Let's go.
33:53This is where he's led us to.
34:14We might just need to kind of walk in.
34:16I think somebody would have noticed it.
34:29Shoot.
34:31Is there anything in there, GD?
34:32No.
34:35I think he's full of it.
34:37Dang.
34:39Dude, I had my hooves set up.
34:41I thought he was going to take us right to it.
34:42Yeah.
34:45Yeah.
34:46He says off of Eliza Jordan, there's a cut to it.
34:49He thinks that's where she might be now.
34:5280% chance.
34:53What?
34:5480% chance.
34:55Okay.
34:55Let's go.
34:5880% chance.
34:59It's going to be all right.
35:05Next road over by the bridge.
35:07That way?
35:08Yes.
35:09There's another bridge down that street.
35:10The body's right down here.
35:14Don't.
35:15Can you get it out of the license?
35:16Can you give me like a 25?
35:19I can't promise you.
35:21I feel like I'll just myself.
35:33She's here.
35:33She's here.
35:34Hey, I need an unavailable unit to be started.
35:53The suspect just led us to the body.
36:00I'm so glad we found him.
36:03Now what we need to do is get him to tell us how he did it.
36:09What I need from you is I need still to sit down and talk to you about it.
36:12Okay, because obviously we're here now.
36:16What happened?
36:18It was an accident.
36:20We was riding on the road and I was telling her that I didn't have a pistol.
36:25I'm trying to get rid of trying to sell it.
36:26She said, let me see it, bad boy.
36:27So I pulled it out.
36:29When I pulled it out, I got to hand it to her.
36:31I'm handing it to her.
36:33It goes off.
36:34She falls on top of me.
36:38I panicked.
36:40I told her to the side and I hauled it after I went to the hospital.
36:43I went to the hospital.
36:44She's breathing again.
36:46Then I quit.
36:48When I quit, I panicked.
36:51You're trying to go to the hospital.
36:53Yeah.
36:53But when she stopped breathing, you came over here?
36:56Mm-hmm.
36:59Did you pull the truck over right where, kind of like where we're at?
37:02Right, right this is X-Box.
37:03And did you, you went in the pastor's seat and grabbed her?
37:08You're still in the pastor's seat.
37:10And when I started her over the thing right there, I said, my look, she's not going to be dead.
37:16She's not going to be dead.
37:17Right.
37:19Right.
37:19And I pulled the truck over here.
37:23Was she breathing or?
37:24No.
37:25Where did you shoot her?
37:28Back of the head.
37:30Got you.
37:30I'm going to prison for life.
37:34I know it is.
37:37All right, buddy.
37:41He just gave me a full confession.
37:44You want to go ahead and do the notification?
37:46Our mother actually lives over here.
37:50We'd definitely like to.
37:52Fairhope Police Department will notify Tammy's family that her body was found, and an arrest
37:58has been made.
37:59You could definitely give her all my information.
38:03Appreciate you.
38:03All right, brother.
38:04Thank you, George.
38:04Appreciate you.
38:05I think if you take the time, you get what you know is the truth.
38:15I really just wanted him to feel like he had the power.
38:20That's why I kept using that word.
38:23You're in control of this one thing.
38:25Everything's out of control, but this one thing you're in control of.
38:29Because I know whatever drives him, the power that he craves, the ego, you can see it all
38:36in him.
38:37That's why he does what he does.
38:40It's not about anything but having power.
38:43They tried to give it to him.
38:44All right, man.
38:48I'll let you say goodbye.
38:50You are being charged with murder.
38:52You're being charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.
38:56After allowing Kenny to say his goodbyes.
39:04Where's that?
39:05Where's that?
39:11All right, what's this?
39:14I'm going to hold you in.
39:15I'm going to hold you in.
39:44I'm going to make contact with the victim's mother.
39:59The family says she's very emotional.
40:04Hey, I'm Glenn.
40:05The male that we ended up arresting, he was able to not only take us to her, but also
40:14give us a full confession.
40:17I mean, we're so grateful.
40:19I mean, we're so grateful for the rest of our lives, not knowing where she was.
40:31Yeah.
40:34We go to Bible study on Tuesday mornings.
40:37We go right over that bridge.
40:39Wow.
40:39When her not being on that phone, I've had a knot in my stomach since Sunday.
40:49She was my baby.
40:51And when she was a young child, she was probably one of the sweetest children you would ever know.
40:57And then, unfortunately, she kind of got distant from me.
41:02I tried hard, and she had her own life.
41:06But she was my daughter, and I loved her very much.
41:10And I love her children very much.
41:12The boys, it's going to be the hard part.
41:19We had a family meeting Sunday.
41:22They were sitting right here, and I told them, I said, you know how Mommy hadn't come home this week?
41:27And I said, yes, ma'am.
41:28I said, Mommy won't be coming home.
41:31Mommy's going to be with God.
41:33God's going to take care of your mommy.
41:37We appreciate you, because it has to be God.
41:40It has to be, because we have faith.
41:44Yeah.
41:44We know.
41:45Me too.
41:45I was praying.
41:47Because I prayed pretty much through the entire investigation.
41:52God answered the prayer that we found her.
41:56You have my number, and you can feel free to call me anytime.
42:00All right.
42:01Thank you so much.
42:02Can I hug you?
42:03Absolutely.
42:03Yeah.
42:04Thank you so much.
42:05No problem.
42:05I'm really glad that I just got to spend a little time with Tammy's mother, and talk to her, and, you know, reassure her.
42:17I couldn't give her all the answers, but I could give her enough for her to feel confident that her case is strong, and she can have that peace.
42:25Moments like that, after the dust has settled, it's hard not to grieve with a family.
42:34I'm really thankful we were able to do that.
42:36I'm really thankful we were able to do that.
