00:27It's my ex-boy-in-law and she left Saturday evening about 9 30 10 o'clock
00:35She went over to mobile to visit somebody and she wasn't back yesterday

01:14When she left her house in Fairhope headed to Mobile
01:17The 44 year old was driving a white F-150
01:21If you know where she is, you're asked to call police in Fairhope
01:29Five days into the search
01:31Fairhope police find Tammy's truck
01:34Outside a house in Mobile
01:36But the question remains
01:38Where is Tammy Wedgworth?
01:48For homicide detectives
01:50Their chance of solving a murder is cut in half
01:53If they don't get a lead within the first 48 hours

02:08She's been missing now for five days
02:15As soon as she was reported missing
02:17Fairhope PD did the basics in a missing person investigation
02:21They went and got her cell phone history
02:23It showed the phone died in Mobile
02:26And so once they had that
02:28They felt this was definitely something that Mobile police needed to investigate
02:32It then falls on my shoulders
02:35We're still hoping for the best
02:37But we need to treat this as a possible homicide at this point

03:05Is a single mother of three sons
03:07Two under the age of 13
03:09For the last year
03:12She found work cleaning houses to make ends meet
03:15On Monday, you know, I talked to the father-in-law
03:20He's like, this is out of character
03:23You know, she goes and sees friends
03:25She does go on dates
03:26But she always returns
03:29Right
03:30That night early the next morning
03:31He said, now I can't even reach her
03:32The phone just goes straight to voicemail
03:34Friends saying, hey, this is out of character
03:36If she was going to be one minute late
03:37She would call
03:38This, this is not right
03:40She has no criminal history
03:41No drug use
03:43No mental health aspects to her life
03:45That seem out of place
03:47Then they send me the cryptic sounding Facebook post
03:53Just six hours after Tammy left home
03:56A message was posted on her Facebook page
03:58Her mom screenshotted it and sent it
04:02Like that doesn't seem like something that she would do

04:06The post on Facebook was 3.28 in the morning
04:09Investigator Cryer reached out to Miss Tammy's bank
04:14The card had been utilized twice over in Mobile
04:18Here's a copy of the receipt
04:20Her card was used at a sex shop in Mobile
04:24The day after she went missing
04:26And then this is the copy of the video from N.T. Lingerie

04:31The outside cameras showed Miss Tammy's vehicle pull up
04:37X in the vehicles a male and a female
04:42This female here does not appear to be Tammy
04:47The couple tries to use Tammy's credit card
04:52But the clerk asks for ID
04:54You'll be able to see and retrieve the ID
04:58You can tell he's digging for something
05:02And then he comes in and he hands her the card
05:07Your identification of these two people
05:11Using still images from the sex shop video
05:14Cryer compared the couple's faces to mug shots
05:17From an Alabama statewide database
05:19I sat there with them and they started running mug shots
05:22Through the system
05:23They first got us Amanda Miller's

05:31Has a prior conviction for theft of property
05:33They started going through her Facebook account
05:36And found the picture of them together
05:38And found the picture of them together
05:39With him wearing that same hat
05:41Scanning through his Facebook account
05:44And actually found his mother's post
05:47Who referred to him as Kenneth

05:54Has prior convictions for assault
05:56Theft of property
05:57And manufacturer of a controlled substance
05:59We was able to then identify
06:03Kenneth's residence in Mobile area
06:08Once we got to the location
06:10Positively identify Miss Tammy's vehicle
06:12Being parked in the driveway of that residence
06:15way of that residence we made contact amanda and kenneth were taken into custody and brought to
06:22mobile homicide i think we need to get detective johnson do the search warrant on the residence in
06:29the truck from where we got kenny and amanda so the idea now is to basically figure out how these
06:37two are involved did they just happen upon the credit card the truck did somebody give it to
06:43them are they the actual people that know where tammy is we got to get to the bottom of it
06:48to kind of go into it easy and confront her on the how are you using this person's card
06:54detective barton and fairhope sergeant hall will interview amanda first man if you want to just

08:35without a shadow of a doubt that you had just got finished using another female's car and stuff
08:42yeah did y'all have a conversation about that i mean i asked him where he got it from he said he
08:50found a wallet and what about you have you ever been in jail yeah i just got out a couple months ago
08:58at metro for a debt to property third i found a phone in the bathroom and i transferred some money
09:05from the woman's account on her phone you got kids i have four you have crusty apple i'm sorry i was
09:13supposed to be five years ago get to talk to them yeah but my three older ones told me that um
09:21they didn't want to talk to me right now and they retired me breaking promises and not seeing them
09:26like i was supposed to do you seem like a nice person you seem like you just had a couple rough
09:34years and you've kind of done what you needed to survive yes sir and i and i understand that and i'm
09:40empathetic towards that okay oh but this is a lot bigger than a truck and a credit card and i think you
09:48know that i think deep down maybe you've gotten some idea this is something different so you need to be
09:55honest with me right now we need to know if you at any point for any reason met this woman that you have

17:38On the back seat of the vehicle, we did a test for blood,
17:43positive test.
