Six GROs among 20 nabbed in anti-vice raid at KL nightclub

Six women, believed to be guest relation officers (GROs) were among 20 individuals detained following a raid at a nightclub in Kuchai Lama.  It is learnt that the GROs raked in thousands of ringgit from their "clients".  Kuala Lumpur Immigration director Wan Mohammed Saupee Wan Yusoff said a search of the premises uncovered flower garlands priced between RM100 and RM2,000. 00:13Kuala Lumpur Immigration Director Wan Mohamed Saopi Wan Youssof said the GRO's three Thai

00:19nationals and three Vietnamese were believed to have earned thousands of ringgit from their

00:24clients.

00:25A search of the premises uncovered flower garlands priced between RM100 and RM2000 suspected

00:32to be part of the club's illicit operations.

00:34Also, detained were four Taiwanese men, five Bangladeshi nationals, one man from China,

00:42and a Malaysian woman believed to be the club's manager.

00:45The foreign nationals were arrested under Section 6 Subsection 1 Paragraph C and 15 Subsection

00:511 Paragraph C of the Immigration Act 1959-63 as well as Regulation 39 Paragraph B of the

00:59Immigration Regulations 1963.

01:03Meanwhile, the local suspects are being investigated under Section 56 Subsection 1 Paragraph D of

01:10the Immigration Act for allegedly harbouring undocumented migrants.

01:22The third police have been investigated under Section 56 Subsection 1 Paragraph D of the
