00:00Prime Minister Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his appreciation to all parties who
00:07helped ensure the Turun-Anwar rally in Kuala Lumpur proceeded peacefully and without incident.
00:14In a Facebook post on Saturday evening, Anwar said criticism and differing opinions should
00:19not be viewed as hostility, but rather as the lifeblood of a mature, progressive and
00:24sovereign nation.
00:26He expressed heartfelt thanks to the security personnel, including police, firefighters,
00:32medical teams and volunteers, who acted with agility, discipline and dedication to maintain
00:37public safety and order.
00:40Anwar reaffirmed his commitment to democratic principles, including freedom of speech, and
00:45said his administration upholds this through initiatives such as the Prime Minister's
00:50Question Time in Parliament, where MPs are free to pose questions directly
00:56to him.
00:57He urged the public to continue pressing their elected members of parliament to actively
01:01attend and participate in all parliamentary sessions, especially PMQT, as part of fostering
01:09a stronger democratic culture.
01:12The Prime Minister also invited rally participants to return to Kuala Lumpur in the future, not
01:18for protests, but to explore the city's historical landmarks, including the Sultan Abdul Samad building
01:25at Dataran Merdeka, which is currently undergoing conservation work.
