Fifty-six foreign prostitutes were among 67 individuals detained in a massive operation, which saw several hotels and apartments raided in Kuala Lumpur and Pahang on Friday (Dec 20) night.

00:11Federal police conducted the raids, codenamed Ops Noda, on several hotels and apartments
00:16in Kuala Lumpur and Pahang.
00:18The premises are located in areas including Kenting Highlands, Taman Shamalin Perkasa,
00:24Jalan Ipo and Jalan Gombak.
00:26The foreign women detained are from Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.
00:31During the raids, some of them were hiding behind bathroom sinks and under bed covers.
00:45The police also arrested seven local men and two local women, working as counter staff,
00:51managers and transporters.

00:59Mohamad Zain said the police believed that all the premises that had been raided were
01:04operated by the same syndicate.
01:06He said they seized 11,490 ringgit cash, condoms, massage oils, lubricants and sex stimulant
01:14pills, among others.
01:16He said the syndicate used two websites to promote its services in Kenting Highlands
01:21and the Klang Valley.
01:23He said once a booking is done, the customer will be instructed to go to a premises for
01:28the sex services.
