00:00:00Our top focus for the day is on Prime Minister's tour, that is the two-nation, four-day tour that he is on.
00:00:07Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in fact, concluded the first leg of that very tour, that is his UK visit.
00:00:13And he concluded it after meeting with King Charles III.
00:00:17After holding discussions with his United Kingdom counterpart, Keir Stammer,
00:00:21and signing the historic FTA deal, Prime Minister Modi met with King Charles at Sandy Graham House in Norfolk.
00:00:29Now, during the meeting, Modi gifted the king a tree to be planted this autumn as a part of his Ek Per Makenam campaign,
00:00:37which encourages individuals to plant a tree in honour of their mothers.
00:00:41Prime Minister Modi said that the king is very passionate about nature,
00:00:46so him joining the movement is noteworthy and will indeed inspire people around the world.
00:00:52Further, Prime Minister Modi and King Charles held discussions on bilateral issues
00:00:56and progress in the Indo-British ties.
00:01:00They also discussed avenues for collaboration in promoting Ayurveda and yoga in the United Kingdom.
00:01:06Prime Minister Modi will now be beginning his second leg of the tour,
00:01:10a two-day state visit to the Baltics.
00:01:14With that, as we speak of this very visit to the United Kingdom,
00:01:18there was a lot riding on the bilateral side of it,
00:01:21the bilateral focus especially economically speaking.
00:01:24Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal described the free trade agreement between India and the United Kingdom
00:01:29as fantastic, stating that the deal was unlocked and has unlocked numerous opportunities for India
00:01:37while safeguarding all its interests.
00:01:40Here's more.
00:01:40Here with the Commerce Minister, Yush Goyal, who got the biggest Brexit deal for, post-Brexit deal for Britain
00:01:53and a large one for India through the line.
00:01:57Many governments changed, sir, but you were there, right there, getting it through the line.
00:02:01Tell me the feeling, first of all.
00:02:02Well, I think it's truly humbling, Prime Minister Narendra Modi repose confidence
00:02:08and I'm delighted that we have been able to deliver on something which has been on and off for the last more than two decades.
00:02:16It's been a labour of love of both the teams.
00:02:19There have been trials and tribulations along the way, but I must say, at the end, it's a very fair, equitable and balanced agreement.
00:02:28It opens up huge opportunities for Indian farmers, for Indian labour, for our MSME sector.
00:02:37Youth will get a lot of opportunities due to this free trade agreement.
00:02:41We are dealing with the sixth largest economy of the world, which is largely a service system and a high-cost economy.
00:02:48So, for all the labour-oriented products that India makes, high-quality products and textiles, home decor, leather, footwear, furniture, toys, pharmaceuticals, auto-competents, aircraft parts, engineering,
00:03:03a lot of products in the engineering sector, the food processing that we do, it just opens up huge opportunities.
00:03:10And we've been able to safeguard the interests of the sensitive sectors.
00:03:15So, we've not opened up dairy, we've not opened up rice or sugar or any of the sensitive items.
00:03:22So, truly, something which is great for India and will help us in our journey towards Vexit Bhalla 20.7.
00:03:32Yes, absolutely. Now, you've mentioned challenges a few times.
00:03:36What were your biggest challenges in negotiation? We constantly kept hearing visa was one part of it.
00:03:42Now, tell me the biggest challenges.
00:03:45Well, I think there's a lot of misunderstanding about immigration and visa.
00:03:51Let me clarify that in any free trade agreement, immigration or visas are never discussed.
00:03:58They are not a part of a free trade agreement.
00:04:00Right.
00:04:00What we discussed is temporary mobility.
00:04:03And for temporary mobility, it's a win-win for both countries.
00:04:08The developed world today needs young Indian talent and skills.
00:04:13But that is the thing. People are migrating.
00:04:15It's just that they come for a year or two years or three years, do the assignment and go back.
00:04:20And for such people who come in from India to the UK on a temporary mobility or for temporary service providers, for them earlier, they used to lose 25% of their salary or wages or employee benefits because the social security was gone, being short-term workers.
00:04:42Now, up to three years, such people can pay their money in their provident fund account in India and therefore they will not be required to pay in the UK.
00:04:54That will be their own savings, earning them over 8% tax-free returns in their provident fund account and becoming their social security and pension and all that.
00:05:04So, it's truly going to be a game-changer for our talent, for our youth, to become service providers in the UK and will help the UK economy because they will get high-quality talent at affordable prices, which will help them grow their economy and help them create jobs in the UK for the new company.
00:05:28Now, moving on, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be travelling to the Maldives from the United Kingdom.
00:05:36Significance of the Maldives trip on July 25th and 26th cannot be ignored since it marks a major turnaround.
00:05:44How so?
00:05:44Well, Prime Minister Modi will be the first head of government to be hosted by President Mohamed Muizu and that too as the guest of honour at the 60th Moldavian Independence Day celebrations.
00:05:54Modi will hold extensive talks with President Mohamed Muizu and inaugurate several India-assisted development projects in the island nation.
00:06:03The Prime Minister's visit to the Maldives is seen as important as it marks a significant reset of bilateral ties that had come under severe strain under Muizu, known for his pro-China leanings as he became President in November 23.
00:06:19Now, as we speak of this very visit, viewers, let's also take a look that after his UK visit, the Prime Minister is next scheduled to visit the island Archipelago of Maldives.
00:06:33And it's another significant visit that highlights how India's diplomacy and real politic has managed to turn around what was still recently a very frosty bilateral relationship.
00:06:45How is this meet going to change that or rather reset that?
00:06:49Well, that is what we await.
00:06:51Here's a report on the same.
00:06:53Let's take a look.
00:06:59It all started with just one picture, followed by a call to action echoed by a 1.4 billion people.
00:07:09And an entire country's economy took a hit, bringing it to its knees.
00:07:22Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lakshadeep photos did not just trend.
00:07:26It triggered a tourism earthquake in Maldives.
00:07:29On January 4th, 2024, Prime Minister Modi posted serene pictures from Lakshadeep with an open invite to all adventure lovers.
00:07:41Add Lakshadeep to your list.
00:07:43The unsaid message was clear.
00:07:45Travel local, a direct attack on Maldives tourism.
00:07:48The post worked like magic, from topping the charts of Maldives tourists in 2022 as well as in 2023.
00:07:57India skid to the sixth place in 2025 behind China, Russia, UK, Italy and Germany.
00:08:06It all stemmed from January 2024 when ministers from Maldives openly posted objectionable comments against Prime Minister Modi,
00:08:15triggering a diplomatic chin.
00:08:17But India did not retaliate.
00:08:20Instead, it acted with tact.
00:08:23Given that the world knows who was backing Maldives.
00:08:28The current president of Maldives, Mohamed Mizu, is considered a supporter of China.
00:08:34It has a 1 billion dollar loan from China.
00:08:38China also funded major projects in the island country, including Mali's airport.
00:08:42In 2016, Maldives leased an island for 50 years to China for 4 million, for 4 billion dollars.
00:08:50And Maldives backs China's One Belt, One Road initiative.
00:08:54Maldives is a strategic hotspot in the Indian Ocean, with oil routes passing nearby, and China expanding its naval reach.
00:09:05India has been working to keep Beijing's influence in check.
00:09:08In fact, India is playing a long game.
00:09:12When Modi was sworn in for a third term in 2024, President Mizu was invited despite prior tensions.
00:09:20What followed was a diplomatic thaw.
00:09:22Relations began to warm.
00:09:24And now, Modi is visiting Maldives as the chief guest on its 60th Independence Day.
00:09:32His third visit to the island nation, and the first by any foreign head during Mizu's tenure.
00:09:39From tourism to diplomacy, India's quite calculated moves have not just reversed a crisis.
00:09:45It has rewritten the regional power equation.
00:09:49Bureau Report, India Today.
00:09:54A closer home.
00:10:00We bring you breaking news from down south from the state of Tamil Nadu.
00:10:04To be more specific, at this given point, Tamil Nadu alliance war seems to be raging on.
00:10:10Deputy Chief Minister Udaynadi Stalin has said, and I quote,
00:10:14EPS has no control over the AIA-DMK.
00:10:18Udaynadi has gone ahead to say again that they will be defeating slaves and classes in the end.
00:10:24He's also said, must protect the land language in the state.
00:10:29These are some of the remarks that's come in from Udaynadi Stalin, the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu,
00:10:33which regards to EPS, his role in the alliance, and how the alliance shall be performing in the 2026 fall.
00:10:40Let's quickly take a look as to what exactly has been said as we play out this very exact.
00:12:17Karnataka.
00:12:18Karnataka Chief Minister has alleged that the Congress party setback in the recent Lok Sabha
00:12:22polls in Karnataka was that the result of illegal manipulation of the electoral process
00:12:28by the BJP.
00:12:29Not just that, Sidramaya has also accused the BJP of misusing the election commission.
00:12:34Meanwhile, his deputy chief minister, D. Keshav Kumar has claimed that he has conducted a thorough
00:12:39probe into the Bangalore rural Lok Sabha constituency and found proof of significant irregularities.
00:12:46However, the election commission has hit back at Rahul Gandhi's claims, calling them baseless.
00:12:51The poll panel has also alleged that Rahul threatened a constitutional body.
00:12:55It has also stated that electoral rolls are prepared transparently and that copies are shared
00:13:01with the recognised political parties and emphasised that Rahul and his party are free to appeal
00:13:06against any changes if needed.
00:13:11I'm making a very serious matter.
00:13:14The election commission is not functioning as the election commission of India.
00:13:20Today they've made some statement.
00:13:22This is complete nonsense.
00:13:24The fact of the matter is that the election commission is not doing its job.
00:13:28Now we have concrete, 100% proof of election commission allowing cheating in a seat in Karnataka.
00:13:37Not 90%.
00:13:39When we decide to show it to you, it is 100% proof.
00:13:43Okay?
00:13:44And we just looked at one constituency and we found this.
00:13:48And I'm absolutely convinced that constituency after constituency, this is the drama that is taking place.
00:13:54Okay?
00:13:56Thousands and thousands of new voters.
00:14:00New voters.
00:14:02How old are they?
00:14:0350, 45, 60, 65.
00:14:06New voters.
00:14:07Thousands and thousands and thousands and one constituency.
00:14:09Yes.
00:14:10And this is one thing.
00:14:12Right?
00:14:12Voter deletion.
00:14:14Voter addition.
00:14:15New voters who are way above 18.
00:14:20So we have caught them.
00:14:21Okay?
00:14:22And I want to send a message to election commission.
00:14:24Yes, sir.
00:14:24If you think you're going to get away with this, if your officers think you're going to get away with this, you're mistaken.
00:14:29You're not going to get away with it.
00:14:31Because we are going to come for you.
00:14:32I also agree with Rahul Gandhi.
00:14:38Even I also have a very thorough this one.
00:14:42I also have made a very detailed investigation on even my Bengaluru rural constituency also.
00:14:49Lot of goal months have been done.
00:14:53I don't want to discuss much.
00:14:55I will come back later on this issue.
00:14:57Shifting focus to the national capital.
00:15:07This is rather shocking news coming to the forefront at this point.
00:15:11Breaking news that we are picking up.
00:15:13On camera, this incident has been recorded when men looted jewellery store near Delhi.
00:15:20Now, men were dressed in blanket and sugi shirts.
00:15:22They looted gold and cash as can be seen in the visual.
00:15:27Thieves posed as delivery boys and they loot the jewellery store.
00:15:31Robbery at gunpoint even in Ghaziabad near Delhi and jewellery store robbery in broad daylight took place.
00:15:39As you can see in the visual, in the background we can see it is broad daylight.
00:15:43This incident in fact has been picked up from Delhi NCR region.
00:15:48It is near Delhi NCR region, that is it's in Ghaziabad if we are to be exact with the location that we are picking up at this given point.
00:15:55And it has completely been, the act has completely been caught on camera is what we are understanding.
00:16:01This is the CCTV footage that's come to light from which we are getting more details.
00:16:06Right now, Himantro Mishra joins us to bring us complete details of what exactly went down
00:16:11and the investigation that has currently taken place into it.
00:16:14Himantro, a very good morning to you.
00:16:41Matlaq koi bhi hissah unke chaere ka nahi likha raha.
00:16:44Kapda joh unhohne pehna hai alag-alag koay joh food delivery boy ka kapda kisi nne pehna hai,
00:16:50kisi nne grocery delivery boy ka kapda pehna hai.
00:16:52so they can see no one's going to see, because they can do a bag and helmet and they can go to the bag,
00:16:59they can see no one's going to see, and the way they can see shop inside,
00:17:04and you can see how easy he can get in bag,
00:17:09it's the whole idea that police have seen this issue and they have seen this issue,
00:17:15and then they run away.
00:17:17The police have only seen this shop and CCTV
00:17:21a big deal.
00:17:23This is why the police,
00:17:25which is the same route in Bridge VR,
00:17:27which is the shop in Gaziabad,
00:17:29where all the police came from,
00:17:33the police CCTV
00:17:35so that they had two bikes.
00:17:39So the bike's the route
00:17:41and the police's way
00:17:43the police's way
00:17:45clear number one,
00:17:47number two,
00:17:49which is the shop
00:17:51where they are,
00:17:53or where they are,
00:17:55then they run away.
00:17:57So the police
00:17:59will track the route
00:18:01so that they will know
00:18:03that they will know
00:18:05that they will know
00:18:07that they will know
00:18:09that they will know
00:18:11their police
00:18:13share.
00:18:15Well, those are the details
00:18:17we are picking up at this point,
00:18:18viewers.
00:18:19And, in fact, we also have a reaction
00:18:20on the story.
00:18:21Let's quickly take a look at that.
00:18:23With that viewers, Terry Jean Bollier, famously known to the world as Hulk Hogan, the legendary
00:18:52WWE wrestler, died at the age of 71 at his Florida home after suffering a major cardiac
00:19:00arrest.
00:19:01Here's a report.
00:19:02Take a look.
00:19:04I want the whole world to realize that I beat you at your best.
00:19:08And at the end of WrestleMania V, I will be the World Wrestling Federation champion.
00:19:14And what you're going to do, macho man, when the whole world full of Hulkamaniacs destroy
00:19:20you?
00:19:22He was the real-life superhero of 80s America.
00:19:53A living, breathing-action figure who told kids to say their prayers and eat their vitamins.
00:19:59Terry Bollier, better known as Hulk Hogan, is dead at 71.
00:20:03He body-slammed giants, headlined multiple WrestleManias, and turned pro-wrestling into prime-time spectacle.
00:20:19His appeal transcended even the WWE, which was then known as the WWF.
00:20:27In the 90s, Hulk Hogan pulled off the unthinkable, turning into a bad guy and co-founding the New
00:20:33World Order, a move that helped WCW outrun WWE in the ratings war.
00:20:39Enough was enough.
00:20:41Enough was enough.
00:20:42And I said, let Trump-a-mania run wild brother.
00:20:47Let Trump-a-mania rule again.
00:20:50Let Trump-a-mania make America great again.
00:20:56Outside the ring, Hulk Hogan was never far from the spotlight or controversy.
00:21:01A vocal supporter of Donald Trump and conservative causes, Hulk Hogan appeared at political rallies
00:21:07and at Republican conventions, often leaning into the same bombastic energy that made him
00:21:13a wrestling icon.
00:21:19But in 2015, his career nearly unraveled.
00:21:22A leaked sex tape and audio laced with racist remarks led the WWE to cut ties.
00:21:28He later won a landmark lawsuit against the source of the leak, but the damage to his image lingered
00:21:33on.
00:21:34Ladies and gentlemen, the one, the only, the incredible Hulk Hogan!
00:21:43Despite the fall from grace, Hulk Hogan was welcomed back into WWE's Hall of Fame and into
00:21:49the hearts of many who remembered the glory days of Hulkamania.
00:22:03Today, tributes pour in for a man who helped define multiple generations of entertainment.
00:22:08For better or for worse, Hulk Hogan was always larger than life.
00:22:13The Hulkster has taken his final bow, leaving behind a complicated legacy, but one impossible
00:22:20to ignore.
00:22:22Bureau Report, India Today.

00:22:29Sources have come out to say that Indian Navy Day celebration in Thipuram as we speak, event

00:23:01to bring us more details about this very celebration.
00:23:03Shivani, a very good morning to you.
00:23:05And well, this is a very positive note, I would say, to begin the bulletin on.
00:23:09A big Navy Day celebration that we are to witness in Thirwanam Thapuram at this given point.
00:23:15Please bring us more details as to what's in store for the day.
00:23:18Well, we will try and get back that connection with Shivani Sharma.
00:23:36But yes, viewers, this is the big news that we're beginning the bulletin on.
00:23:40This is Indian Navy Day celebration that is to take place.
00:23:45And remember, it is an event that is taking place to lord the Navy's Operation Sindhu advances
00:23:52and also the contribution it made to the very operation to check the Pakistani advances
00:23:58during the Operation Sindhu.
00:23:59It played a humongous role during the operation to check Pakistani side attacks at this point.
00:24:09And these are the details that we're picking up at this given point on this very story.
00:24:14And we will keep a track as the day progresses to bring you more details on the very celebration itself.
00:24:28With that, we are now shifting focus to Prime Minister Modi's four-day and two-nation tour.
00:24:35Prime Minister Modi is in the second leg of that tour now.
00:24:38He is to land in Maldives in roughly an hour as we are getting news at this point.
00:24:44The visit comes in, remember, 18 months after a major diplomatic row.
00:24:50Prime Minister, in fact, is to launch India-aided projects in Maldives.
00:24:55Prime Minister Modi is to visit Maldives after the United Kingdom.
00:24:59He's just concluded his visit to the United Kingdom and now he's en route to Maldives
00:25:04where he'll be reaching shortly at this point as we are learning.
00:25:07And Pranay Upadhyay joins me on the broadcast to bring us more details.
00:25:11Pranay, we're speaking of a visit which holds diplomatic significance to great extent.
00:25:1818 months after a diplomatic row and we see the Prime Minister now visiting Maldives.
00:25:23How are we looking at this?
00:25:25Indeed, a very significant visit, Shreya, because Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be the first
00:25:32head of government, head of state, visiting Maldives because, you know, President Mohamed Moizu
00:25:40has invited him to be the guest of honour on 60th Independence Day of Maldives.
00:25:46And this is the 60th year of India and Maldives diplomatic ties as well.
00:25:50So, indeed, it's very significant and what has happened in the last 20 months, especially
00:25:56the Mohamed Moizu, his political movement, he was one of the leaders who led the India
00:26:02out campaign before coming to power.
00:26:05And after that, we have seen, you know, how things have moved between India and Maldives.
00:26:10From that point, this is indeed a very significant development because in the last 20 months,
00:26:15if you see President Mohamed Moizu had, like, three meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi
00:26:21and this would be his fourth engagement with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
00:26:25But this also shows that how India takes, you know, gift importance to the neighbourhood
00:26:30relation with Maldives.
00:26:33Maldives is part of India's, like, oceanic neighbourhood in the Indian Ocean region and
00:26:38many infrastructure projects are still progressing very well in Maldives.
00:26:44India-assisted projects of connecting the different atolls and different islands of Maldives.
00:26:50And some of the projects, major projects, will be inaugurated, including the Ministry of Defence
00:26:55and its building, you know, the construction for the Ministry of Defence headquarter being done
00:27:01by India.
00:27:02So, that project is also likely to be inaugurated during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit.
00:27:07So, and also, Maldives, President Maldives and President Mohamed Moizu, who last visited
00:27:13India in October 2024.
00:27:15And thereafter, we see the repair or reset of the relationship.
00:27:20So, definitely, with the significant visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we can expect
00:27:25a reset in the partnership, in the relation between India and Maldives.
00:27:30Right, Pranay, thank you for bringing us all those details and putting it into perspective.
00:27:35Viewers, that is what we are picking up at this point.
00:27:38But let's also take you through the details of this very visit, what it means and what
00:27:44are we in weight of at this given point.
00:27:47Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be travelling.
00:27:49In fact, he is on route to Maldives from the United Kingdom.
00:27:52The significance of the Maldives trip on July 25th today and 26th cannot be ignored, since
00:27:59it marks a major turnaround, as was being flagged by my colleague as well.
00:28:04Prime Minister Modi will be the first head of government to be hosted by President Mohamed
00:28:08Moizu.
00:28:08That too, as the guest of honour at the 60th Maldivian Independence Day celebrations.
00:28:13And Modi will be holding extensive talks with President Mohamed Moizu itself and inaugurate
00:28:18several India-assisted development projects in the island nation.
00:28:23Now, the Prime Minister's visit to Maldives is seen as important, as it marks a significant
00:28:27reset of the bilateral ties that had come under severe strain after Mohamed Moizu, known for
00:28:33his pro-China leanings, became president in November 2023.
00:28:38So, that is why it is that significant at this given point, the lens that we are looking
00:28:43at on this very particular visit of the Prime Minister.
00:28:47Now, after his United Kingdom visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit this island
00:28:51archipelago of Maldives.
00:28:53And it's another significant visit that highlights how India's diplomacy and real politic has managed
00:29:00to turn around what was still recently a very frosty bilateral relationship.
00:29:04Here's a report that brings you the entirety of what has happened so far and what awaits.
00:29:09It all started with just one picture, followed by a call to action, echoed by a 1.4 billion
00:29:23people.
00:29:28And an entire country's economy took a hit, bringing it to its needs.
00:29:33Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lakshadeep photos did not just trend, it triggered a tourism earthquake
00:29:43in Maldives.
00:29:45On January 4th, 2024, Prime Minister Modi posted serene pictures from Lakshadeep with an open
00:29:52invite to all adventure lovers.
00:29:54The post worked like magic, from topping the charts of Maldives tourists in 2022 as well
00:30:11as in 2023.
00:30:13India skid to the 6th place in 2025 behind China, Russia, UK, Italy and Germany.
00:30:20It all stemmed from January 2024, when ministers from Maldives openly posted objectionable comments
00:30:29against Prime Minister Modi, triggering a diplomatic chin.
00:30:33But India did not retaliate.
00:30:35Instead, it acted with tact.
00:30:38Given that the world knows who was backing Maldives.
00:30:43The current president of Maldives, Mohamed Mizu, is considered a supporter of China.
00:30:49It has a $1 billion loan from China.
00:30:53China also funded major projects in the island country, including Mali's airport.
00:30:58In 2016, Maldives leased an island for 50 years to China for $4 million, for $4 billion.
00:31:05And Maldives backs China's One Belt, One Road initiative.
00:31:09Maldives is a strategic hotspot in the Indian Ocean, with oil routes passing nearby and China
00:31:18expanding its naval reach.
00:31:20India has been working to keep Beijing's influence in check.
00:31:25In fact, India is playing a long game.
00:31:27When Modi was sworn in for a third term in 2024, President Mizu was invited despite prior tensions.
00:31:34What followed was a diplomatic thaw.
00:31:37Relations began to warm.
00:31:41And now, Modi is visiting Maldives as the chief guest on its 60th Independence Day.
00:31:47His third visit to the island nation and the first by any foreign head during Mizu's tenure.
00:31:53From tourism to diplomacy, India's quite calculated moves have not just reversed a crisis, it has
00:32:01rewritten the regional power equation.
00:32:05Bureau Report, India Today.
00:32:07Now, viewers, as we keep our focus on what's awaiting us in this very four-day tour of the Prime Minister,
00:32:29let's also quickly take a look at what all went down in the first two days of Prime Minister visiting the United Kingdom.
00:32:36Prime Minister Narendra Modi has concluded his United Kingdom visit after a meeting with the King Charles III.
00:32:43After holding discussions with his UK counterpart, Kirstama, and signing the historic FTA deal,
00:32:49Prime Minister Modi met with King Charles at the Sand and Grim House in Norfolk.
00:32:54Now, during the meeting, Modi gifted the King a tree to be planted this autumn as a part of his egg-paid Mark-in-Arm campaign,
00:33:01which encourages individuals to plant a tree in honour of their mothers.
00:33:04Prime Minister Modi said that the King is very passionate about nature,
00:33:08so him joining the movement is noteworthy and will be an inspiration to people around the world.
00:33:14Further, Prime Minister Modi and King Charles held talks on bilateral issues
00:33:17and the progress in the Indo-British ties.
00:33:21They also discussed avenues for collaboration in promoting Ayurveda and yoga in the United Kingdom.
00:33:27Prime Minister Modi is now on the second leg of his tour,
00:33:30wherein he has a two-day state visit to the Maldives.
00:33:33Prime Minister Modi,
00:34:03Prime Minister Modi,
00:34:33Prime Minister Modi,
00:35:03And we both know this is the biggest and most economically significant trade deal
00:35:18that the UK has made since leaving the EU.
00:35:22And I think I can say that it's one of the most comprehensive deals that India has ever done.
00:35:28So thank you, Prime Minister, for your leadership and for your pragmatism.
00:35:33And I'd like to thank everybody who's worked so hard to get this deal over the line.
00:35:41With that, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has described the free trade agreement between India and the United Kingdom as fantastic,
00:35:49stating that the deal has unlocked numerous opportunities for India while safeguarding all its interests at the same time.
00:35:56Here's more on this.
00:35:58Here with the Commerce Minister, Yush Goyal, who got the biggest Brexit deal for, post-Brexit deal for Britain,
00:36:11and a large one for India through the line.
00:36:14Many governments changed, sir, but you were there, right there, getting it through the line.
00:36:18Tell me the feeling, first of all.
00:36:20Well, I think it's truly humbling.
00:36:22Prime Minister Narendra Modi repose confidence, and I'm delighted that we have been able to deliver
00:36:28on something which has been on and off for the last more than two decades.
00:36:34It's been a labour of love of both the teams.
00:36:37There have been trials and tribulations along the way.
00:36:40But I must say, at the end, it's a very fair, equitable, and balanced agreement.
00:36:45It opens up huge opportunities for Indian farmers, for Indian labour, for our MSME sector.
00:36:54Youth will get a lot of opportunities due to this free trade agreement.
00:36:58We are dealing with the sixth largest economy of the world, which is largely a service system
00:37:03and a high-cost economy.
00:37:05So for all the labour-oriented products that India makes, high-quality products and textiles,
00:37:11home decor, leather, footwear, furniture, toys, pharmaceuticals, auto-competence, aircraft
00:37:19parts, engineering, a lot of products in the engineering sector, the food processing that
00:37:24we do, it just opens up huge opportunities.
00:37:27And we've been able to safeguard the interests of the sensitive sectors.
00:37:31So we've not opened up dairy, we've not opened up rice or sugar or any of the sensitive items.
00:37:39So truly, something which is great for India and will help us in our journey towards Vexel Bhala 2019.
00:37:49Yes, absolutely.
00:37:50Now, you've mentioned challenges a few times.
00:37:53What were your biggest challenges in negotiation?
00:37:56We constantly kept hearing Visa was one part of it.
00:37:59Now, tell me the biggest challenge.
00:38:03Well, I think there's a lot of misunderstanding about immigration and Visa.
00:38:08Let me clarify that in any free trade agreement, immigration or Visas are never discussed.
00:38:15They are not a part of a free trade agreement.
00:38:17What we discussed is temporary mobility.
00:38:21And for temporary mobility, it's a win-win for both countries.
00:38:24The developed world today needs young Indian talent and skills.
00:38:30But that is a thing.
00:38:31People are migrating.
00:38:33It's just that they come over a year or two years or three years, do the assignment and
00:38:37go back.
00:38:37And for such people who come in from India to the UK on a temporary mobility or for temporary
00:38:45service providers, for them earlier, they used to lose 25% of their salary or wages or employee
00:38:53benefits because the social security was gone, being short-term workers.
00:39:00Now, up to three years, such people can pay their money in their Provident Fund account in India and therefore
00:39:08they will not be required to pay in UK.
00:39:12That will be their own savings, earning them over 8% tax-free returns in their Provident Fund
00:39:18account and becoming their social security and pension and all that.
00:39:21So it's truly going to be a game changer for our talent, for our youth to become service providers
00:39:29in UK and will help the UK economy because they will get high quality talent at affordable
00:39:36prices, which will help them grow their economy and help them create jobs in UK for the new
00:39:45company.
00:39:51Viewers, we have breaking news coming in at this point.
00:39:55The BJP slams Samajwadi Party MP and Imam of Parliamentary Mosque, not we.
00:40:03BJP pens letter to Axe, not we, as Imam of Mosque, the BJP has come out to say, and I quote,
00:40:10Mosque being misused by the SP, MP and Imam, not we, and BJP National Minority Mocha, UPS.
00:40:16At this given point, we see UPS, the anti-against SP, MP and Imam of the Parliament Mosque, Moibulla
00:40:24Natvi.
00:40:24BJP alleges Mosque has been misused by Moibulla and has been made the camp office of Samajwadi
00:40:32Party.
00:40:33Natvi rejects the permission sought by BJP by saying arrangements for Tea Party cannot be
00:40:37made at Mosque neither.
00:40:39It is the place for any political gathering.
00:40:41So this is what the latest flashpoint seems to be between the BJP and the opposition at
00:40:47this given point.
00:40:48These are the details that have come in so far.
00:40:50Let's quickly listen in to what Natvi has said before we proceed with a conversation on
00:40:54this very matter.
00:41:30Piyush Mishra joins us on the broadcast to bring us more details.
00:41:50Piyush, a very good morning to you.
00:41:51Very firstly, let us understand
00:41:53what the entire controversy has turned out to be based on at this point.
00:41:59There is big claims being made by the BJP at this given point against SPMP and the Imam of the mosque.
00:42:29Following which BJP has now slammed Nadvi for this and also the Samadhi Party for making mosque a political playground, making mosque a place where political gathering can take place.
00:42:42Following which earlier BJP had sought permission from Nadvi in the capacity of Imam of Parliament mosque to hold a similar sort of political gathering in mosque.
00:42:51But now Mohibullah Nadvi who is also Imam of this mosque has rejected this permission and that's why what we're told is that BJP has decided not to hold any case.
00:42:59This kind of political gathering but there's a massive war of words taking place between both Samadhi Party and BJP on this where BJP since beginning has been claiming that the sanctity of mosque has been hurt by the Samadhi Party where they allowed their leaders to hold a child in Ashta and also Mohj Masti in Parliament which certainly is against the ethics of Islam.
00:43:23They have also said that Dimpali Adap should not have been allowed to enter inside the mosque and you know she was also not dressed properly for you know offering prayers there in masks.
00:43:33So there are various allegations to which Samadhi Party has now said that BJP is known for doing politics on each and every matter and that's why they are once again criticizing Samadhi Party.
00:43:43Right Piyush Rindir this is big news that's coming in at this given point and these are the details viewers that we are picking up at this point on this very story and as the day proceeds and the parliamentary session for the day begins we will keep a track of this very story and bring you all the latest updates.
00:44:01But right now we are shifting our focus to more breaking news that's coming in.
00:44:05Now we are taking you down south specifically to the state of Kurnataka.
00:44:16Twist an insect in food in Bengaluru cafe case.
00:44:21Where is this cafe exactly and what are we speaking of?
00:44:23Well cafe manager has come out to say bid to blackmail with insect.
00:44:27This is the cafe manager.
00:44:28This is a cafe in Rameshwaram that we are speaking of.
00:44:31Accused blackmailed saw 25 lakhs.
00:44:34A fresh twist has emerged in the viral insect in food.
00:44:38Remember this was a row that involved Bengaluru's Rameshwaram cafe that we are bringing to you.
00:44:43And FIR has now been registered at the airport police station itself based on a complaint by Sumanth, head of the Rameshwaram cafe's Bengaluru division.
00:44:51Now the complaint alleges blackmail stating that a person falsely claimed the food was contaminated and threatened to defame the brand on social media.
00:44:59Accused reportedly demanded in fact Rupees 25 lakh over a phone call and asked for the cash to be delivered to Brigade Road.
00:45:08The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
00:45:10The complaint follows a viral video that claimed an insect was found in the food from the cafe.
00:45:15This is the detail that we are picking up at this point.
00:45:18And Sagaira joins me on the broadcast to bring us more details.
00:45:21Sagaira very good morning to you.
00:45:22So a fresh twist indeed that we see in this case at this point where it's being said that the man, that the person, the accused of this particular point who had come out to make this big claim against Rameshwaram cafe, which is quite a legacy in itself.
00:45:39It may have been false and it may have been an attempt to blackmail the managers of the cafe.
00:45:44Absolutely. And if you notice that this particular incident came to light yesterday when a few videos went viral on social media where the person who was recording the video had claimed that there was a worm in the food.
00:45:58And thereafter, the video clearly shows that the manager of Rameshwaram cafe in airport has apologized to him with folded hands.
00:46:06And thereafter comes the twist where the clarification was given from Rameshwaram cafe stating that the person who recorded the video and the other person who was with him had blackmailed them, telephoned them, stating that if you give 25 lakh rupees, we will not upload this video.
00:46:23And thereafter, an affair was being registered. And the Rameshwaram cafe alleged that this is to just malign their image, the hotel image across the state.
00:46:36Right, Sagai. These are the details we are picking up at this point, viewers, on this very matter.
00:46:41And well, investigation has now been launched into this aspect of the case as well.
00:46:45Remember earlier it was focused more on the contamination of the food that had been flagged in this very cafeteria.
00:46:53But right now, this is what we are learning. And this is where the investigation stands.
00:47:05Moving on, viewers, to the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu.
00:47:08And the Tamil Nadu alliance war rages on.
00:47:10Deputy Chief Minister Udayanidi Stalin has come out to make some explosive claims at this point.
00:47:16And let's take you through that. He has said, and I quote,
00:47:18EPS has no control over the AIA-DMK, will be defeating slaves and fascist NDA.
00:47:24This is the claim that's been made by the Deputy Chief Minister, that the DNK will be defeating the slaves and the fascist NDA.
00:47:31He's also gone ahead to say that they must protect the land and language of the state.
00:47:36These are his claims at this point.
00:47:38Let's quickly listen in to what exactly was said by Udayanidi Stalin before we get into a discussion on this.
00:47:42Hello, sir.
00:48:12Ramoth Madhav joins me on the broadcast to bring us more details into these very remarks that's been made and also set some context to it.
00:48:40Ramoth, a very good morning to you.
00:48:42You know, the battleground in Tamil Nadu has already started heating up way before we've even moved to the next year when the election actually is to be held.
00:48:50Now, these are explosive claims yet again being made by DMK leaders and that to the top leaders at this point.
00:48:58Take us through what exactly has been said by Udayanidi Stalin and the explosive remarks and dig rather at this given point against EPS.
00:49:06Well, good morning to you as well.
00:49:11And just like you mentioned, it is a very, very like, you know, even though we have eight months for the elections, it looks like it's almost here, like very near for us.
00:49:17And that's the reason Edapati K. Paniswamy, the AIDMK General Secretary, has already started his campaign while DMK is targeting him over several issues, including the campaign, including the alliance formation with BJP and also the coalition government formation.
00:49:31And now he claims that what DMK did was that they had their own kind of campaign by which actually DMK cadres would go ahead and meet with the people.
00:49:40And it was initiated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin almost a month ago.
00:49:44And this is where EPS had gone and said that as the elections are nearing, now DMK is knocking at the voters' doors, for which now Udayanidi Stalin, the Deputy Chief Minister, has retaliated.
00:49:54But it is a little bit harsh where he also went ahead and said that AIDMK is not under control of EPS.
00:49:59And he calls EPS as a fascist.
00:50:00And he says this is a very crucial election and not even one vote must be missed in this part.
00:50:05Right, Pramod, those are the details, viewers, that we are picking up.
00:50:11And thanks for putting it into context for us, Pramod, at this given point.
00:50:15That is all we are picking up from the political arena, which is clearly heated up at this moment in Tamil Nadu.
00:50:21But right now, viewers, we are shifting our focus to another story.
00:50:24This is also a political story that we bring to you.
00:50:26A full-blown war has erupted between the Congress Party and the Election Commission.
00:50:31And where is this that we are speaking of?
00:50:33Hours after the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, alleged that the poll panel allowed cheating in Karnataka during the Lok Sabha polls.
00:50:41His party leaders are now echoing the same sentiment.
00:50:44Now, Karnataka Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shiv Kumar have both backed the Congress MP.
00:50:50Karnataka Chief Minister has alleged that the Congress Party's setback in the recent Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka as well
00:50:55was the result of illegal manipulation of electoral process by the BJP.
00:51:01And Rahul Gandhi mentioned about going through the lists of a particular constituency.
00:51:06That is the particular remark that was made by the LOP of the lower house.
00:51:11Not just that, Sidramaya has also accused the BJP of misusing the Election Commission.
00:51:15Meanwhile, his deputy D.K. Shiv Kumar has also claimed that he has conducted a thorough probe into the Bangalore rural Lok Sabha constituency
00:51:22and found proof of significant irregularities.
00:51:26However, the Election Commission at the same time has hit back at Rahul Gandhi's claims, calling them baseless.
00:51:31The poll panel has alleged that Rahul threatened a constitutional body.
00:51:36It has also stated that electoral rolls are prepared transparently and that copies are shared with recognised political parties.
00:51:43And they have emphasised that Rahul and his party are free to appeal against any changes if needed.
00:51:47Let's listen in to some of the reactions that's come into the story so far.
00:51:50The election commission is not functioning as the election commission of India.
00:52:00Today they have made some statement.
00:52:02This is complete nonsense.
00:52:04The fact of the matter is that election commission is not doing its job.
00:52:09Now we have concrete, 100% proof of election commission allowing cheating in a seat in Karnataka.
00:52:17Now, not 90%, when we decide to show it to you, it is 100% proof.
00:52:24Okay?
00:52:25And we just looked at one constituency and we found this.
00:52:29And I'm absolutely convinced that constituency after constituency, this is the drama that is taking place.
00:52:36Okay?
00:52:37Thousands and thousands of new voters.
00:52:41New voters.
00:52:42How old are they?
00:52:4350, 45, 60, 65.
00:52:46New voters.
00:52:47Thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands won constituency.
00:52:49Yes.
00:52:51And this is one thing.
00:52:52Right?
00:52:53Voter deletion.
00:52:54Voter addition.
00:52:56New voters who are way above 18.
00:53:00So we have caught them.
00:53:02Okay?
00:53:02And I want to send a message to election commission.
00:53:04Yes, sir.
00:53:05If you think you're going to get away with this,
00:53:07if your officers think you're going to get away with this,
00:53:09you're mistaken.
00:53:10You're not going to get away with it.
00:53:11Because we are going to come for you.
00:53:13I also agree with Rahul Gandhi.
00:53:19Even I also have a very thorough this one.
00:53:22I also have made a very detailed investigation on even my Bengaluru rural constituency also.
00:53:28A lot of goal months have been done.
00:53:33I don't want to discuss much.
00:53:36I'll come back later on this issue.
00:53:38Amit Bhardwa joins me on the broadcast to bring us more details.
00:53:43Amit, a very good morning to you.
00:53:44Let's be very clear on one thing.
00:53:46This is not the first time Rahul Gandhi has come out to make such explosive claims.
00:53:50That too against the election commission.
00:53:52We've seen earlier as well,
00:53:53whenever such claims has been made by the leader of the opposition in the lower house,
00:53:58the election commission has come out and stated that investigation has been done
00:54:02and they have found no such irregularities in the polling that's taken place.
00:54:07This time yet again, he has brought into focus Karnataka in the Lok Sabha elections that is.
00:54:13He said that there is a given constituency that they have seen irregularities in.
00:54:17Firstly, bring us details of that very constituency and the irregularities that he is speaking of.
00:54:23And to also look at this in the broader context of politics at this point.
00:54:28Do you think this is slowly becoming a repeated narrative by the Congress
00:54:31which actually might be leading to a loss of face for them itself?
00:54:37Well, Shreya, you know, if you speak of the Congress party or the India Alliance parties
00:54:43for that matter, they are really concerned with the way electoral rules are changing.
00:54:49That's what their claims have been.
00:54:50You know, be it Haryana election, Maharashtra election or Delhi election,
00:54:54even Aam Admi party was really worried about the treatment of the electoral rules.
00:54:58And now in Bihar, the situation has boiled down to the extent that India Alliance or the Mahagata Bandhan
00:55:05is pondering upon the idea of boycotting the polls.
00:55:09So this is one narrative that opposition parties or the anti-BJP parties have been putting forward
00:55:16and pushing forward election after election after the Lok Sabha polls are over.
00:55:20They believe there is something wrong with the electoral rules.
00:55:23However, the Election Commission of India time and again has clarified that,
00:55:27look, we published the electoral rules, we handed over electoral rules to you
00:55:31and give us evidence as to where is the problem.
00:55:36You know, in Delhi, it was Aam Admi party, Arvind Kejival saying that so many deletions have been happened.
00:55:40Aam Admi party voters are being identified and deleted.
00:55:43However, there is no legal case that has been filed by the Aam Admi party.
00:55:47In Bihar as well, you have Tejasvi Yadav continuously speaking about his concerns about SIR which is being conducted there
00:55:54and also saying that he is also looking into the option of boycotting polls.
00:56:00In this particular case, as far as Rahul Gandhi is concerned, for the past few days,
00:56:05he is constantly talking about one constituency of Karnataka.
00:56:09He hasn't given the details of it yet.
00:56:11But he is saying that he is certain about one constituency of Karnataka where the electoral rules were tempered.
00:56:18Thousands of adult voters were included into the electoral rules months before the polls.
00:56:24And this has, you know, according to him, this was a mistreatment with the electoral rules, forgery with the electoral rules.
00:56:32However, if you go by the detailed response of the Election Commission,
00:56:37what Election Commission is saying that towards the end of 2023, electoral rules were notified and handed out to all political parties,
00:56:46recognized political parties in Karnataka as well, including Indian National Congress.
00:56:51It was in and around about objections of more than nine lakh had come in.
00:56:58And after they were dealt with, the final electoral rules were handed over to Congress party in January 2024.
00:57:05And whether any objections were filed?
00:57:09None.
00:57:09That's the list that Election Commission of India has released as well.
00:57:13That is the Karnataka EC which has released those documents.
00:57:16Now, we'll have to understand when Sharad Pawar's party or Congress party or Aam Admi party or, for instance,
00:57:22now the Mahagatman in Bihar is making such tall claims about Election Commission's, you know, wrongdoing, quote, unquote,
00:57:30are they going to the court, Supreme Court in this particular context and what has been the legal proceedings so far?
00:57:37We haven't seen much happening in the Maharashtra case either because before Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi was speaking about Maharashtra.
00:57:44Aam Admi party hasn't done anything about the electoral rules in Delhi as far as legal battle is concerned.
00:57:49So, in that context, Shriya, it eventually boils down to the fact that your claims will be treated as only political claims and political allegations.
00:57:59And Election Commission of India is coming up with their documents to defend that, look, there is nothing wrong out here.
00:58:05Back to you.
00:58:06Absolutely, Amit.
00:58:08Thank you for bringing us all those details and putting these very claims and the developments into context.
00:58:13For our viewers, we are bringing to you a story that has left quite a few in shock and, I would also say, tragic tears at this given point.

00:58:41I want the whole world to realize that I beat just your best.
00:58:45And at the end of WrestleMania V, I will be the World Wrestling Federation Champion.
00:58:51And what you're going to do, macho man, when the whole world full of Hulkamaniacs destroy you?
00:59:06He was the real-life superhero of 80s America, a living, breathing action figure who told kids to say their prayers and eat their vitamins.
00:59:35Terry Bollia, better known as Hulk Hogan, is dead at 71.
00:59:40Hulk Hogan, he drops a big leg on him.
00:59:43He's now for the cover of the leg, one, two, he's got it.
00:59:47He body slammed giants, headlined multiple WrestleManias, and turned pro-wrestling into prime-time spectacle.
00:59:59His appeal transcended even the WWE, which was then known as the WWF.
01:00:04In the 90s, Hulk Hogan pulled off the unthinkable, turning into a bad guy and co-founding the New World Order, a move that helped WCW outrun WWE in the ratings walk.
01:00:16Enough was enough.
01:00:19And I said, let Trump-a-mania run wild, brother.
01:00:25Let Trump-a-mania rule again.
01:00:27Let Trump-a-mania make America great again.
01:00:32Outside the ring, Hulk Hogan was never far from the spotlight or controversy.
01:00:37A vocal supporter of Donald Trump and conservative causes, Hulk Hogan appeared at political rallies and at Republican conventions, often leaning into the same bombastic energy that made him a wrestling icon.
01:00:51But in 2015, his career nearly unraveled.
01:00:58A leaked sex tape and audio laced with racist remarks led the WWE to cut ties.
01:01:04He later won a landmark lawsuit against the source of the leak, but the damage to his image lingered on.
01:01:11Ladies and gentlemen, the one, the only, the incredible Hulk Hogan!
01:01:15Despite the fall from grace, Hulk Hogan was welcomed back into WWE's Hall of Fame and into the hearts of many who remembered the glory days of Hulkamania.
01:01:39Today, tributes pour in for a man who helped define multiple generations of entertainment.
01:01:44For better or for worse, Hulk Hogan was always larger than life.
01:01:50The Hulkster has taken his final bow, leaving behind a complicated legacy, but one impossible to ignore.
