The Laotian Civil War is a war that is usually counted as starting from May 1959 and ending in December 1975, according to traditional documents in the West, in Vietnam the war is counted from 1954 after the Geneva Conference until the Pathet Lao liberated Vientiane. However, this war was not continuous, there were periods of ceasefire, and was only continuous from 1964 to 1973, the year the Vientiane Agreement was signed. As soon as the war actually broke out (1958), the Pathet Lao received help from the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Later, this help increased. Therefore, from 1962, this was a war between the Pathet Lao forces supported by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Royal Lao Government sponsored by the United States.
