00:00Dmitry, sources close to the Kremlin are saying that Putin won't budge unless the West engages in Russia's terms.
00:06You've spoken just now about Ukraine's terms, but what are the terms that Russia has for the West?
00:12And have they shifted at all? Because Russia has gained ground in Ukraine, as we know.
00:16Has he changed those terms?
00:18I don't think so. From 2022, from the beginning of what's called the Special Military Operation,
00:24the Kremlin didn't change its policies towards Ukraine. It's still the same policies.
00:31And even the sanctions that were implemented on Russia didn't change the mind of the Russian President Vladimir Putin towards Ukraine.
00:40Of course, the Special Operational War on Ukraine is making a huge problem for the Russian economy.
00:47We're talking about sanctions. We're talking about, for example, big corporations like Gazprom had lost thousands of US dollars.
01:00And also, the Russian economy totally changed beginning from 2022 towards having a better relationship with Asian countries,
01:09with Arab countries, with Arab countries, towards working more on BRICS as alternative, let's say, platform for cooperation.
01:21But Russia still didn't change its mind.
01:25So we're talking about the same position, the same policies toward Ukraine.
01:31Ukraine should be not a land that could harm Russia, could make any, let's say, dangerous movements or toward Russia.
01:42And the same request about political changes in Ukraine, that in Ukraine should be presidential elections
01:51and also elections in the Ukrainian parliament in order to have, like, ceasefire and have negotiations to be successful.
