00:00But do you think Russia actually care, Donald? Do you think it will make any difference to them whatsoever?
00:04And with their trade partners, they can just reduce the price of oil and therefore offset whatever tariffs are put in place.
00:10Could it be all smoke and somewhat a show of support without any actual action?
00:15Well, let me give a two-part answer. I think Russia is likely to try to play the 50-day limit and its own view of negotiations and sort of information warfare,
00:24which they've been doing every day in order to get the West, the United States in particular, to back down.
00:31My answer to your second question would be that China, Russia, India have found ingenious ways to get around the sanctions that have been in place
00:41since the first Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014. Well, it's the same invasion.
00:46And I think you're going to see a lot of evilly clever minds try to get around these sanctions from all of those countries.
00:54So we're just going to have to see. It's not black and white. It's a continuing process.
00:59The pressure is likely to be much stronger on Russia. But again, Russia and its partners will no doubt try to circumvent them in new ways.
01:07Perhaps it's possible. Perhaps it isn't.
01:09But I think we are in a new stage of this relationship between the U.S., Russia and Ukraine and NATO, as you said, and that's a good thing.
